  • Facelift and steering wheel with 4 operating satellites ?!

    Hello, I noticed in the configurator that you can also order the steering wheel with the button for the switchable exhaust at the Facelift. The sports exhaust system is no longer available. I have now bought a used V10 Performance Spyder (shown as soon as I have picked it up) and ask myself the question, if you can not retrofit the fourth satellite?! Technically, if the exhaust flap still available at the Facelift should not be an insoluble Prob lem be ?! Or is it just a mistake in the configurator ? Sincerely Norri

    Hello Together, as I have often read, my recently acquired R8 4S with Magnetic Ride behaves very uncertainly at high speed. The car is shaking from about 260 km/h felt back and forth and everything from 300 km/h feels more like a driver after a test of courage than after safe driving. With long turns with speeds from about 230 km/h I have the feeling that the car jumps to the corner edge “.   • Is the R8 really such a problem child?

    Hello ! This is my first topic here, although I’ve been rummaging around a bit, but please forgive me if I need some information. To the topic : Have seriously fallen in love with the R8. The car is just fun, the design, the acceleration, the Wow effect. For a few weeks I’ve been looking for a suitable R8 for me in the area around the 50k – 60k€, from 1st or 2nd hand, up to max 100k kilometers, no Russian import, BJ 2008-2010, checkbook provided The more I deal with the topic, the more it seems to me that the R8 is a real bitch child. 1) R-Tronic: Is it really that vulnerable? One reads in the best case of a defective “actuator” 2) the pressure storage hydraulic pump 3) the engine? What’s going on? Some models already have an ATM with 60k kilometers, some of them already. Running speeds over 100k km are rarely 4) moreover, a lot of electronic problems 5) oil pipes and enormous oil consumption 6) what about the Magnetic Ride ? best a R8 without looking, or ? … I like to continue the list the more I read, the more I think about whether the R8 is really a reliable vehicle. And if I can/will pay myself any follow-up costs. I’m still infatuated in the R8 but so slowly comes up a little “realistic” frustration. Can you maybe take it away from me?   • R-Tronic problem after only 38TKM

    Hello guys, I have a huge problem with my R-Tronic gearbox on the R8 4.2 FSI, the car has a mileage of 38TKM. I noticed last week that there is sometimes a nasty metallic noise when switching from the 2nd to the 3rd gear, about every 7th switching process. Other gears are OK and do not make any noises. The electronics shows no problem. From time to time, when I drive fast and switch near the limiter, the gear flies out and I go into N for a long time. Electronic nothing. I switch down once and am back in the right gear. I already have a bit of a bumblebee before the visit at Audi. I hope the Audi reacted there kulantly, the car didn’t really run a lot and a defect due to wrong condition should be excluded because the system works fully automatically. I drive 80% manuel and 20% manuel sport. What do you mean what is broken and what costs will come to me? Greetings RACHT

    Hello together, I heard during braking that my brake system starts to quichen… I assume it comes from behind was not at the workshop before I went there I wanted to ask you. Has one of you already changed the brakes front or rear ( ceramic system ) and have for me a cost idea what would cost me individually discs and receipts in the purchase Have you also an alternative from which sides you can buy the which brand you can take the originals of Audi from the guidelines.   • Refurbish the original sports exhaust system

    Hello all, I have a R8 Spyder with 540hp from 2017 in mind he has run 11000 km and is fully equipped only the sports exhaust system is missing. Is it possible to upgrade it or has any of you already done it? About information I would be pleased. Greeting Chris

    A possible new R8 member A nice hey to everyone in the forum here I just signed up here & wanted to introduce myself briefly My name is Joey and I am 30 years old for some time now I am thinking of buying an R8 and I’m now landing at your forum I hope so I’ll be well received Currently I drive a 5.0 Ford Mustang which just doesn’t make me any fun anymore (in the Mustang forum I’d definitely be stoned now HAHA) I’ve also e I’m looking for a little purchase advice from you & by the way I thought I’d introduce myself before Villeicht could you help me there And although I’m looking for the slightly older R8 2007 – 2012 .42 – before facelift I’ve found a couple between 80T-110T kilometers price-wise lying between 55-65 thousand but all the dealers I’ve found now sell the cars as a customer order now to ask me 1.From when did you have the first problems with your R8 2.Requires that at all an R8 with 100,000 km to buy without warranty or warranty (since most are sold in the customer order so that the drop off) 3.Bsp I buy that car driving from hof it turns out that it was a rental car & in the next 2 months I have once a motor damage without warranty & warranty 4.I have also read that at 170T km an M otorrepair would be necessary this is price-wise also not without 5. Should I completely ignore private sales 6.Is it possible to insure the engine & that gearboxes otherwise via external used cars guarantee (and has made someone already) I hope I could imagine well :=) and also hope that I can be with you soon also 100% then with the first pictures of the R8 Joey

  • V8 or V10?

    The Audi R8 came first with a V8, but in 2009 a V10 was also included in its selection. Which would you take if you had to decide? I would buy a 2008 V8 manual just because OG. BUT, a manual V10 from 2009 (love the early look) would be great too, because that’s a dream. I find it hard to choose. Let me know what you choose!

  • Rear window constantly wetted with “oil film” ?

    Another question I didn’t find an answer to anywhere! When I cleaned my rear window, and then I drove about 100km, I see in the rear-view mirror that the window starts to fog again! Doesn’t seem to me as if something was leaking on the cooling water system and that therefore occurs, but rather of the nature like a light oil film that wets the window… Maybe I never paid attention to it that this never really happened to me. Is that more normal, since the engine is just under the disc, or could it possibly be something in the wrong? Have the engine panels been broken down and looked at if there is something leaking and oil evaporates and thereby falls down on the disc! But is everything dry, at least what I can see from above! That one is egeal, which disc one has to clean every now and then is clear! Only just that the rear window in such a short time always scuffs… Rainer

  • Show me your license plate position at the front! 🙂

    Hi R8 friends, In 4 weeks I pick up my R8. Since I want to have a clean front with my vehicles at the front I try to remove the license plate, which always falls out very briefly with me, differently to position or like with Benz the original holder, because it is as large as the standard license plate. Show me your license plate at the front of the R8 4s. Does someone have e.g. adhesive license plate? Or has someone taken off the original holder and attached the license plate differently?
