    Hello, I have to bring my R8 V10 R Tronic to the Audi center before June. There an oil change should take place. Since I will bring my own oil, I would have to know how much liters of oil I should get in advance. Furthermore, which oil.   • Single garage: Cold start with ASG / Capristo & Co.

    Hello dear people, some of you drive aftermarket exhaust systems and there are certainly also some who park their cars in a garage. We move soon, residential area with single-family houses side by side. We have a dopel garage next to our house. In one stands the daily in the other next to the R8. I get already stomach ache when I think to start the vehicle there. It is just hellish loud and well, the cold start goes just a minute. At the moment in the city center it’s no problem because it’s in a larger underground car park, that doesn’t interest anyone. Does noise protection raise? Is there anything like this at all? In case of an emergency, I stick it all down to the main thing I’m not stoned in the new residential area. Isn’t it just a good sound to straighten out all the neighbors. Has someone ever done this in his garage? Happy about answers 🙂 PS: Have an ASG V3 + similar e AGA under my V10.

  • Upgrade R8 cruise control

    Hello together. Has anyone ever retrofitted a cruise control from you? I bought a retrofit kit of, I might mention later, bought, after check my chassis number on the part of the seller my R should already have the necessary cable set on board, so only the switch block and the lower steering wheel cover would have to be mounted, I also got an illustrated guide, so far as good.     Hello all, I have fulfilled a childhood dream this summer and got an R8 in original condition. The original Navi is available and works. However, I would like to retrofit something modern, which allows me to auto-android/apple carplay. What do you think of solutions that build larger than the double-din shaft like the Pioneer SPH-EVO93DAB? Does someone already have such a thing installed? I just look for pictures, since in my area no dealer has such a thing on site, or you have it l “probehalber” could fit.   • Replace sports seats with shell seats

    Hello together, I know there is already one or the other thread on the topic, but I wanted to assure myself that I thought of everything to make no mistakes. 🙂 I would like to replace the sport seats with the original shell seats at the R8 V10 (type 42) BJ 2015. I found the following instructions here in the forum: * Battery not yet clamp off * Seats all the way forward AND go up and release the rear screw (seat screw VZ or XZM 10) * Seats all the way to the back and push down and unscrew the front screws * Now disconnect the battery * Tilt the first seat and unscrew all plugs. * Now the seat can be removed * Airbag plugs on it, Ebay things fit 100% and can not be mounted wrongly * stow cables and cover cap on it * Now straighten the new seat in, rails in front and lightly screw on * Now push the seat all the way up AND screw on top * Bolt the rear screws * Put the seat in initial position and d he screw on front screws * Connect the battery Now for my questions: – Is there something missing or is there something else to consider? – Should the battery really be jammed off? There are contradictory statements about this. I don’t want to trigger an airbag 😉 – Are there any problems after the battery is jammed again? Lt. Operating instructions can happen that functionalities need to be re-learned (e.g. window lifter) and I have to go to Audi with it? K or do I have to take care that the conversion action does not take too long? – The connectors should fit 1:1, right? For the missing airbags on the shells I have the adapters. Do I have to pay attention to anything else (“occupation seat heating” I had read as a keyword) ? – I have also heard that a coding on shell seats has to be changed? But I have not read this anywhere else. Is that correct? If yes, can I even do that myself? Sorry in advance for my beginner questions.   • Wintering and battery

    I bought my R8 last month and drove it into the garage after a nanosealing for “wintering” because I can only drive with session license plate from April. I stuck off the positive pole of the battery. But I’d rather if I could take the whole battery out to store it in the warm apartment and charge it every six weeks. Now to my question: Can someone tell me what I have to dismantle everything to get the battery out? At first It looks like I have to unscrew the complete covers at the front.   • R8 color what falls on ?

    It’s amazing how the different colors on the R8 look, from red-black R8 V8 Coupe to R8 V10 Spyder Cabrio changed into teak brown. The “old” was damn loud and has already noticed due to the sound. The “new” is relatively quiet and everything is still original. But in the parked condition it is already noticeable, the red was like a magnet, whether it’s a resting place or parking space on the supermarket or in a street. Only the Regula Kit, it can not have been located. At the red people stopped, have partly even taken photos and were very interested in the vehicle. Teak brown does not notice, the vehicle seems rather inconspicuous. As show car the color is not suitable. I don’t care, the car has bought for me. If you plan a purchase and want to stand out with it, should choose a bright color, red, white, yellow etc. apparently brings the contours to the point. Or bright cars just fall out more. I haven’t seen it yet Teak brown looks very serious, but rather unremarkable.
