  • drive quattro

Hello, I know that the topic has been discussed before… I drive the 3.2 as a switchcar. However, I think the Quattro drives almost like a front drive. e.g. with strong acceleration on damp road the front wheels spin already for a short time. I did not have this impression with the 1.8 with 225 hp. Could it be that with the Haldex something is wrong?

  • 225 engine – too much power?

Hi, wanted to give the first report about my TT Roadster times. I have the feeling that my engine has too much power *joy* I was able to drive the yesterday times really. A friend of mine has the S3 with also 225 hp. I stayed with him and found out on the highway that he can not stay. We both stood full on the gas. Since mine also has “only” 225 hp, I don’t understand this difference. On accelerations up to 150 I take this even fa So it’s not that he lets the switch breaks run perfectly. So I can’t understand. I’m filling up Optimax, but it won’t take that much. Mine isn’t chipped either. So why? Greetings

  • Engine damage TT

Hello, I drive an Audi TT Roadster, built in 04/2000. On 27.02. I got an engine damage. The 3rd cylinder has no more compression, the spark plugs are also smeared. The engine has run 70000 kilometers. It has also not been “compressed”! If someone has an idea how this is done with the damage takeover of Audi. I would be really grateful about an answer. Until then Markus

  • broken pop off

Hello to each other, would there be a question, how does a defective pop off valve actually make itself noticeable?? I have an original Audi in it. Now it’s the case that my little car as soon as I pass through the accelerator pedal on the AB, so full load, starts to jerk quite violently, and only after about 3-4 sec. it takes really gas. But as soon as I take gas away and then kicks it again, etc. I already have a new LMM and new candles inside, on it ka Maybe one of you is familiar with this flaws. Could this possibly be due to a broken pop off??? always good driving

  • Now I have my TT 3.2 Quattro!

So since yesterday I am also a proud owner of a TT. I picked him up yesterday in Ingolstadt. Was quite interesting the whole thing. Especially the handover, since the Audi employees who handed me the car knew less about it than I did. But otherwise everything was great, interesting tour in the factory. Good food (as much as you wanted;-)) and also otherwise this is worth seeing. And now for the best on the whole of my new car. TT 3.2 Quattro, the DSG is great (I now say after about 5 50 Km) sounds super fast, and softer than any automatic I’ve driven so far. And the engine is faster on the currently allowed 4000 rpm than you think. Also put on down ordnantly (in any case better than my old VR6 Corri, so from the first feeling). So now has to get away again, has to get some as still the 1000-1500 km full so I can test and compare greeting Ralf

  • Weak TT

Hello together. I imagine I have a problem. I have been driving an A3 1.8T 150 hp for about 5 years. It’s going really well. I’ve been driving a TT with 180 hp for 4 weeks now. It’s worse than the A3. I compared the acceleration 80-120km/h in 5th gear and come to about 10s for both cars. But the A3 is faster. Same track, both fully fueled. I imagine that you should notice 30 hp more clearly, or not? r test drive and was faster on the first day than now. Had then an inspection. After that I was surely only driving comfortably for a week and therefore quite unsure now. Is it too slow? Is it ́s since the inspection? Or do I just have a Macke? Runs to Tacho just 230 and then sounds like he was regulated during the A3 at 240 first the wings stretch and still runs clean. Has someone with such a problem experience and can give me a good tip en? The next question: Which tuning is recommended? Currently turn to ABT Chiptuning on 210 HP. Guessy or not? I’m not necessarily a heater, but I’m driving a lot of short distance. I’d be really grateful for tips.

  • Engine damage due to N75J

Hello dear people, I spoke today on EMS with a well-known tuner, and he said the following about the N75J: “Take this out immediately!!!! Two of my customers had already melted pistons. You only need to go on the track once and drive up to the road and already bangts” My opinion looks like this: – first of all, his customers had already revised machines – second, I have been on the road with the valve for 3,000 km, of which a total of about 60 to 70 km with vmax and determined 1000 km with approx.160 to 200 km/h. – thirdly, I think that some tuners try to talk the cheap n75j bad to not endanger their significantly more expensive chips. To the first point he said that it would be no matter whether original or tuned machine, because the control unit is cheated by 0.15 bar and thus the mixture is thinned, the combustion temperatures rise accordingly rapidly. In order to eliminate stress peaks, 0.15 bar of course come to much more (see emaciation by defective lmm – same result). to my already driven track with vmax he said that I might have been lucky in winter, but in summer the machine would definitely go up. moreover, the surrounding air pressure might have been at my best by chance. the last point (for example, chips can also be sold in Wieterhin) I preferred to keep to myself because he was very convinced of his opinion. What do you think about it?

  • Forge valve = Top or Flopp ?

Hello together, ….after I replaced the Forge valve with one of the Porsche Turbo ( 996 ) in January of this year….also the errors are suddenly gone…in relation to the uneven performance development during acceleration. The Forge valve has ensured that the charging pressure cannot escape…..promotion is made so that the turbo can continue turning……and thus the turbo hole can be bridged. Unfortunately, this is the only positive feature. The fact is….the charging pressure is too ho ch….but the valve doesn’t really make it escape. the result of this is after about 18 months……a cracked exhaust manifold…..and the body of the turbo it literally blew up……wouldn’t have come to Sportec and decided to rebuild….would I have stood there 14 days later with an engine damage…. So now my question to the round……Do you feel that the car is much better with built-in Forge valve???……if j a….why? But only because of higher loading pressure…or? Tell us about your experiences and opinions… I say…the Forge valves are poison for all parts that are attached to it….. Greeting Chris

  • photo of end speed

n ́evening together, where always everyone reports how fast their 180s frontlers are, and others then always claim that can not: I used the nice turboweather once and plowed the more or less free a30. the result can be seen in the photo. hill under it even 260 until then the speed limiter came at approx. 6.900. is really no kick. works however only now, where only the 205er mechelin bushes are on it. with 225ers I don ́t get there completely, commutes there nn usually at 240 to 245.

  • I’m getting sick….

Good day, I’ve been driving an Audi TT C with 180 hp for 7 weeks, and when I first stumbled on this page, I got quite different in the stomach area. I drove before the TT an Audi Cabrio (5 cylinders) ,for eight years about 200 tkm without any problems and then I read this forum , and saw that the TT is afflicted with very many defects. I just hoped that my TT was spared from the errors . DAN FING IT ! First a cracking while driving and at ground waves v orn re.,I hit Audi ,diagnose track rod knocked out, let change, but without success, can still crack there.Next much to me on ,which the rev indicator saws in the stand and the car shuffles and when the rev counters have entered, briefly goes to 2000 without giving gas, let LMM change (Culance Audi) error not fixed. Finally, Gester all my helpers have failed (ABS;ASR;ESP) I immediately have to read out Audi errors, but the ABS control unit gives no feedback. just say SCHEIß TT . Can someone help me and tell me how I can fix the errors ? Thank you in advance JACHTHUND PS : I want my old 5 cylinder again !
