    Greetings from Austria! I bought a used TT. black, 165kw, 60000km Built 2002 Bose, Xenon, sports package, fullheather etc…. The seller is a good acquaintance and meant that he made a software tuning at 54000 km, which on average should bring about about 25-30 hp more. I would be interested in what exactly changes with this tuning and what it looks like with the durability of the engine? What do I have to pay attention to? Of course, I don’t care to “step” the engine in the cold area. I noticed very positive that the car consumes only 9-10 l Super in normal to slightly sporty driving. I also found that I was not so fast and safe on snow with any other car. Conclusion: I only had the car for 2 days and am more than thrilled.     You know the company Ross-Tech. These are the developers of the VAG-COM software. Here is a statement about the relationship air mass <-> performance: “Here’s a good sanity check for the status of your MAF. Do a full-throttle run all the way to redline in a single gear (second works fine). Group 002 usually shows air mass in g/s. Your peak airflow should be roughly 0.80 times your horsepower. So, if you have a stock 150 hp 1.8T, expect around 120 g/s. If you have a 201 hp 24V VR6, expect around 160 g/s. If you see significantly less than that, you MAF may be on the way out. This still works if you are chipped, but “race” programs may make more power through timing, rather than airflow. Therefore, take all readings with a grain of salt.”

  • K&N 57i Filter

    Hello everybody, have something new again and need your help and experience again…I had a K&N 57i sports air filter installed yesterday. Everything nice and good, great intake sounds…if there is not this other constant noise during the gear change. Sounds like a whirring turntable running to the end…if it’s cold the noise is really loud, over 3000 turns hard to bear. A real crash…if the engine gets warm then we get warm d it then slowly quieter, but unfortunately still does not completely disappear when changing gear. My question, is this all normal??? And what is a forge valve??? Questions about questions…Many thanks in advance for your help… Marco from Cologne

  • Super+: Brand- or Cheap-Sprit ?

    No, no, not again this discussion about Super and Super+, this time it’s not about the variety, but about the brand. Based on some engine damage, which is related to Super ohne+, you have already persuaded me to refuel Super+. Ok, so far I have mostly filled with Aral, if no Aral at hand, then “exceptionally” with other, but always big brands, BP, DEA, Shell, Esso. To save a few cents, I would like to know how it is qualitatively with others like Jet, Agip, OMV, etc. or even crazier with the supermarket filling stations at Metro, market purchase, Kaufland. etc… Is only the octane number relevant or also the aditives that each big manufacturer so mixes? What have you done for experience?

    Moin@All I don’t know about cars yet, but somehow my TT runs my turn. So after I switch on it turns on if there’s a ball 🙁 the normal my father is my better to ask because of the turbo naja anyway. Does not want that to happen to him either. 1. Starting 2. after starting at 3rd at 30 4. at 50-60 Depending on the traffic 5th at 70. 6. From when can you turn on the 6th highway. Highway from 100 ?.   • Is my TT broken or is it normal?

    Hello dear TT friends, have bought me a used Audi TT with 225hp with 95 000km.The car was always so far during the vulnerable inspection.BJ: 11/99 Now my questions: 1. Problem: When I get the car out of the garage in the morning and the car stood long and is totally cold.Then the car jerks the first km.Even at low speeds! After one km the car runs so far without jerking. 2. Problem: The car has a huge turbo hole.The car drives weakly to normal bi 4500 revolution The turbo has no power for a second if I switch a gear higher, for example! Is this normal? (I’ve never driven a turbo-car) or is there anything wrong with it? Is this normal? (I’ve never driven a turbo-car) or is there anything wrong with it?

  • 1.8T engine outside TT In Golf 3

    Temperature gets too high, rises up to 120 degrees and does not cool down!!!!Flower also jumps at but only at 120 degrees!! Thermostat taken out, thermoswitch new, cooler is free, temperature indicator is also fine!!! I tend to the water pump, because the top hose is so hot that it bursts shortly before and the bottom hose on the cooler is ice cold!!! At the balance tank still a small hose, where the water should always come out, does not make it. Please help me!

  • After sportlihcer ride, bonnet open useful???

    Hy @ALL, kind of a stupid question, but anyway,… ————————————- If I do a little sportier or longer at this temperature (+30°C) my TT Coupe 1.8T (132KW) front, turn off, no fan, like the 225er, is running after. Is it therefore useful, if possible, to simply open the bonnet? Or does it bring nothing at all? Or is it even harmful? Thanks in advance,… and still a lot of PASS at the TT’len.
