I won’t whip my TT anymore, yet I would like to know from you whether someone can tell me when the optimal switching time is from Gang A to B for the train and for the city. I can drive, probably not bad, but that’s it. Who knows if I did everything “right” to speed up for example “right”. Can you calculate or read something like this, or are there only experiences?

Been at Wimmer’s today
Hello to each other. First of all a huge compliment to Thorsten Wimmer and his boys. They have today (my first visit) a MEGA event. Super thing. The boss aka Thorsten is a super expert. He analyzes all mistakes almost immediately after he has started the car. The service team in the workshop is also the expertise par excellence. Incredible. My baby is doing so well and even the magician himself (Thorsten Wimmer) was from my ice cream nmann surprises “Boah, who is sometimes loud – never let the haste enter” class thing Have still received a few defects attested. These would be with mine: 1. Control Forge defective (pump or cable) 2. Valve cover seal sweats … but probably normal. 3. Crank case ventilation sweats. But no Prob. 4. Coupling rod and rod slightly hit. Anyway. The car goes very well and is top in shot. I will now exclude my thought-out tuning work and repairs That’s more than convincing today. Incredibly positive impression. I also met the one or the other from our forum. Suck ropes and cool guys… Gruss Fabius – the convinced!

Turbo damage caused by cracks in pressure hoses?
Hi all together, the other day a friend who works at an Audi specialist workshop (Dannercker & Laudin) told me that they have seen many TT in the workshop that have a turbo damage. The reason for the turbo damage are small cracks in the pressure hoses. The Turbo tries to balance the missing air of course it has to turn faster. And already you have the salad. He recommended to replace the pressure hoses because the original hoses are bad. 🙂 now I wanted to ask: – if someone has already changed their hoses – what experiences you have made with def. pressure hoses. – and for which you can exchange the original ones best. p.s. know someone a homepage where you can buy “Samco” (I think so the company) pressure hoses.

Start problems
Hello together, so today my little one didn’t want to start right – it worked at the first ignition, but it took longer than usual. I immediately queried the climate code 20, but were so about the 14.0 V, after switching on d. Completed ~ 13.7 V – so actually reasonable values, or can you not rely on these values so and can not close the on-board voltage to the preliminary voltage of the battery? Only in July 2003 had a new battery installed! Greetings Ritchie (TTc 225PS quattro, Built 99)

Chiptuning collectibles. Who’s in?
To all those who are still looking for a chip and or hardware tuning: I have been offered a chance to get chip tuning for all 1.8T engines according to customer requirements and on good conditions. It is not about chips from the bar, but about individually adapted parameters. In individual cases already made modifications such as exhaust systems, charging air coolers, modified intake systems etc. can be taken into account. This is what I do if I can estimate if and how many people are interested in it. Only then can I talk to them about such things as prices, guarantees, service, etc.. Of course, if any of you contact us, there is nothing to be considered as compulsion. If you finally decide to do it, you do it yourself and not me. I would of course, depending on how it all goes on, come with you. So much in advance: it is sic h around a down-to-earth company here in the area of Ibbenbüren (between Münster and Osnabrück), which operate among other things a motor vehicle master operation and build racing vehicles or motors. So of the hardware they have already known, a performance test stand is available. Special area seems to be 1.8 engines from the VW Group. Names and Internet addresses I do not want to post here publicly because of slip advertising, but per pn I like to publish them. If someone knows which company it is then I ask these participants not to announce anything here. So, and now I’m waiting. Gruss Markus

Qualities of choice
Hello together, we would like to put a TTR. We do not know which: either the 3.2 with DSG or the 1.8T with 165KW. The 3.2 would cost about 51T€ and the 1.8 approx. 47-48T€. At the WE we had the 1.8 and I have to say that the engine was also not bad On the one hand I would like to make it even deeper and other rims on it, therefore also do not know which equipment I should take. Am at the consider whether the 1.8 and then still a bit discreet chip If the 1.8er does not need as much fuel as the big one, insurance is certainly a bit cheaper. We also drove the 3.2er, but also this engine made us a lot of fun. Ask for honest opinions, whether positive or negative. You can talk about everything. Thank you in the above greeting kopiman

Wrong radio/CD changer
Hi, I got my CD changer today, which I bought from Ebay. The previous owner was a Conert + changer in it. But which he has expanded both. I have a chorus (according to Audi only installed from 2001) see picture. The stupid is only that the changer (parts No. 4B0 035 111A) is somehow not compatible with the radio. On the radio also does not radio the lighting when you turn on the light, but the display already. My TT EZ: 9/99 but model year 2000 controls that where I don’t like the new models from 2001 and therefore the lighting doesn’t work (I don’t think so). Was it really the opinion that every Audi changer is broadcasting with every Audi radio… do I now have the wrong changer or the wrong radio? Because if I connect it, nothing in the changer doesn’t even work out the compartment! Only when I’m playing from the radio of the red plug, where 2 cables are not occupied and I give the brown cable of it mass, does it play and al les, but there’s no Musi… can anyone help me out there????

TT 225 Coupé or convertible
Hello TT-community, I’ve been reading with you for a few days, because I want to sell my Porsche C1 Targa and love it with a TT. The question that basically arises to me is: Coupé or convertible. Maybe someone can give me a few tips or arguments, which can still influence my decision. Basic points would be: 1) how high is the noise level difference (if the roof is closed of course), i.e.: can I also use the top-sp use eed, without which my ears fall off? 2) I also have the emergency seats in the convertible ? 3) Is the coach just as stiff as that of the Coupe ? (Bin relatively often traveling on the Nordschleife) etc. etc. Vileicht also made these thoughts of you before the purchase, and can let me share his knowledge. Thanks in advance Greeting André

now also TTler and immediately the first problem
Hi TT-crazy, have my TT now almost a week and the TT fever has already packed me 😉 I bought it last week (225 quattro, year 2000, 26000km..) and since that a huge fun. Must of course still do some things. E.g. 19 inch rims, sports exhaust and see what else I like!? However, I already have the first “small” problem. If I start it in the morning (it is relatively cold) the indicator for the cooling water goes on and flashes. However, I can I exclude that there is too little water in it and, of course, that it is too hot, because I just started it. What can that be, someone already had the problem?? And for the inspection I have to unfortunately also soon, how much does it cost about? Would be great if someone could help me… Thank you very much TTimmey

ASA AR1 and the 3.2er / S-Line question
Hi I get the crisis! Did I just experience a great surprise with my ASA AR1 18″ from my previous 1.8T…the brake caliper at the front hits the rim wreath! Shit! Can you do something? Distance discs? But will then probably run out of a single acceptance, right? Didn’t actually want to buy new ones… Does anyone know if the 18″ S-Line rims with the number 8N0601025S (8Jx18H2 ET33, LK 5×100) fit the 3.2r? Does anyone have any idea for me which rims would fit and Do you want to buy my ASA AR1? As good as new, matured with Dunlop SP 9000 (about 20000km)? Thanks and greetings, Frank
