  • oh yes … the most ‘lackiest’ of the LAST questions

    So now I’ve had enough of which motorcycle to like and also tried and tested etc. I had of course (…’natural’ ) highest demands on technology and design. Well to get to the point there were only two possible things for me at the end – a 600 Gixxer (must be on 34hp => Drosselung) – a zx6r Everything else was simply not acceptable from the design. I couldn’t live with a bike that I don’t like. What I absolutely don’t like are Chopper Street machines and something like that *IGITT!* My problem is simply the money. I figured it all out. One of the two machines would be used for 5000 eyelets in good condition and acceptable mileage. However, this doesn’t work anymore with the maintenance, with the protective clothing and possibly repairs. And I don’t have more money (yes, I’m poor student). Work regularly, but don’t waste so much money, i.e. I can’t just “just” the The rest is saved. 500€ are there and net more. But then I need for insurance, protective clothing and tax now more than 500€. That means either I buy a cheaper motorcycle (which is not easy with the two models to get something clever) or I buy another bike. Well, as I have already written above, I just can’t live with a bike that I don’t like. Can one of you tell me something in the 600s area that has a similar look like d ie gsxr600 or zx6r? That you get for less? Is probably rather unreal or? What am I doing?! I don’t have more money, but with most other machines I would trust net on the road (i.e. from the design, not engine power or something, don’t misunderstand), so n other super athletes? or does a n solution?     I would like to get a leather combo, but I don’t know what I have to pay attention to when buying it. At the moment the Vanucci Profi 1 tlg (Louis Shop) is on offer, also the HG-R 1 tlg of (Hein Gericke) both I like the look very well. can anyone tell me which of the two is the better in terms of quality and wearing comfort. can you compare these combos closer to Dainese? or should I do without both of them and buy a TWO PARTIES What kind of leather comb would you recommend to me?   • Glue helmet

    Good evening, wanted to find out if someone can call me websites or dealers who offer stickers for helmets. Would like to have something individual, but I see little success in it. I have already searched here, but the only link that is offered no longer works. Also, the discussion at the time was rather sobering. Also, it is clear to me that the warranty of the helmet may expire. So you don’t need to point out any more. And painting Airbrushing is really too expensive for me. I also have a matt black helmet (so no clear varnish) and as airbrushing would have to have a clear coat of paint over it, it would fall away either way! I don’t like the stickers of POLO or LUIS at all! I know that there are stickers. See racing. Many (Semi) professionals have had their own helmets “glued”. In addition, I saw various stands on the Intermot that have offered stickers. I also took photos of them (because of Nam But these photos are all totally overexposed and I can’t see anything at all!   • World first Airbag helmet

    Just surfed a little in the new P*lo catalogue. The first helmet is offered with airbag. But somehow I can’t get used to the idea of wearing something like that, it looks funny with such a trunk on the back of the head. My requirement for a helmet was always it has to be light, comfortable, as quiet as possible and safe – well, visually it has to be of course. If from my point of view already a criticism point, 1860 Gr. is already quite difficult in the long run. D I’m going to think about where to put it, so I don’t want to cause a bald release. Just imagine a collision with a bird on the AB at speed 180, the airbag is triggered, it works like a brake parachute on the jet hunter and bye. Maybe I’m a little too skeptical now, but for me a good helmet paired with a good turtle tank was always safe. Without the system in question I just imagine the whole body airbag as a further development. Wouldn’t be great if you just jumped as a flummi from the accident site.

  • Strange feeling on a night trip

    I have a problem at the moment. I’m driving a little over 30 years. Two-wheeler. I say extra two-wheeler because the last one was a 250cc scooter. After 6 years I wanted to ride a bike again. I mainly go to work with it because I have less time on the weekend. I work shift and therefore always have a dark ride with me. Early shift morning…middle shift night home. Now my problem…at night and in the morning there is a lot of cattle running around on the train. I’ve been nervous since I ran a little rabbit into the rear wheel a few weeks ago. Luckily, I don’t see a huge field bunny. You can see little at night..Suddenly, such an animal comes running out of the grass. Even in the car I scare briefly…there I just killed a few rats. At the moment I doubt if I should continue driving or give up. I think I’m getting old..I think and that’s a mistake when I ride a motorcycle. I hope you won’t Eht me what I mean….Stop even if the heart hangs on it or eyes close and through….and hope it goes well. Greetings Steffen

  • Tank derusting with home remedies? Chemist asked

    My non-motorcyclist god-gat has got himself a two-wheeled, motorized driving something … see my Sig. ( I can’t write this out here ). We will then restore the thing over the winter. In order to be able to drive, the rust has to get out of the tank. Now to the various methods known to me: 1. Let the expert do it – No need, no desire to send the tank back and forth. 2. pebbles and nitro and then shake – the times are v orbei and the resulting mucke is not my case 3. Coke – well, we drink it better then – but the principle with phosphoric acid (even more concentrated – just how strong ?) – would also be a possibility. Only in the tank ? I am right that the rust does not dissolve but only oxidizes and then you have to scratch everything down, right? Now I got a tip for solution no. 4. I am interested now if this has already been tried out. And indeed: Take the tank. Fill it (naturally developed) with a mixture 3:1 with water/sodium hypochlorite … so chlorine … not in pure form but the toilet cleaner (e.g. the Klorix stuff). Now take a charger for motorcycle batteries and hang the positive pole of the charger into the solution in the tank, and fix the terminal so that it can not come into contact with the inner wall of the tank (otherwise there is a short circuit!). The minus pole then becomes to an unpainted place on the tank, z .B. clamped to the thread from the gas tap and the miracle can begin. After 2 – 3 hours the rust should be gone. An advantage would be the disposal of the mixture. Does anyone know this already? Is the attempt worthwhile?

    Yes! again! after I checked my wife’s tires yesterday, I had to look at how old the LaserDreck is… – The reason was that the ride over the curves became a disaster!
