  • Overtaking of construction site lights

When I made a little möp.-tour with a few buddies today, we talked about whether one should overtake the parked cars at construction site lights. Our conclusion: We overtake the waiting cars and stand at the front of the traffic light. Reason: Since we “must overtake” the drivers anyway, we do this at the traffic light, where we do not endanger anyone (except ourselves) instead of on the road, where we could also endanger the driving cars. I have to say, there were B exhibit on a rural road and not in the middle of the city, which were very easy to see (so against traffic can be excluded at our red phase). What do you think about this Tehma? And what do you do at the traffic jam? Also in the middle? <-- I find that quite reckless, since it often came to suddenly opened doors.

  • There I am – and what am I driving?

Hello together, Since recently I have been in possession of an A limited driving license And still in delirium, so to speak After I had really bad luck with my first driving school I have now finished in 3 weeks – without whipping at 40 over the country road, because there are curves or have to listen to me as you can only be so stupid (2nd driving hour I stood as a decent fear driver on a highway drive in the mountain, strangled and did not get away – cars honk, driving teacher scolds and d in the end I was allowed to HIGHLIGHT the part! I was crying snot and water and I never went there again..). Well, now to the main concern: I am looking for a wheel. I am just over 1.80 but relatively light, on the BMW in the driving school (650 something?GS?) I sat partly a bit uncomfortable, but that could also be because of how I hopped there, I coward. The motorcycle would be my main means of transportation, to the university it goes briefly over the highway and to the friend too. what I’m looking for: -Motorcycle, of type like Enduro-Payable, especially with the insurance -Not too heavy -What does it look like with luggage? Space for large “side suitcases” or the attachment possibility should be there. Wouldn’t like to have the helmet under the arm for 8 hours in the university – and it doesn’t fit in the handbag. Does this work for every motorcycle? Or would it be a scooter/125er better for me? I don’t care about appearance, just nothing for people with short legs I don’t want to race, bend or anything else – just get ahead. And arrive. With luggage. Rosi Achja – is there where I can turn for insurance questions?

  • And again a lock for bikers

The Oberbergische Kreis arbitrarily blocked the K19 between Engelskirchen and Lindlar for bikers! On 17.09.2011 the BVDM e.V. organizes a motorcycle corso from Lindlar to Gummersbach. Information is available on www.bvdm.de Greeting Michael

  • Search 2011er Krad: 600-800cc with semi-/full panelling

Hello together, after I have read in for some time, I would like to ask you for your help/input/opinions when searching for a suitable two-wheeler. Test drives are of course also before a decision is made.Search profile: 600-800ccm, not too heavy, relatively agile, with half or full cladding, so that it is also suitable for motorways (up to 200km at a time).Situation position so that you can also sit well and painlessly. e, 40% Autobahn, 20% Stadt. Frankfurter und Kölner In-und Umland (incl. the A3 in between). For the foreseeable future the two-wheeler will only move professionally on weekends or on holiday.About me: 186cm, 95kg, 34 years, make shortly the motorcycle driver’s license, currently driving a 120d as a car. Ride fast where it is allowed and the conditions there are, on the BAB then gladly 200-220 Tacho.Currently considered Krads (2011 models): 1) Honda CBR 600 F – Bin anyway fan of their cars w high-speed engine would be fun again after so much diesel gushing. In the car a petrol engine is not in my car because of KM performance. According to tests it sounds like it is the best all-rounder for the basic data I mentioned. 2) Yamaha Fazer8 (semi-clad) – I find half-covering optically more beautiful than the fully clad Honda. I’m not sure if this on the highway is not uncomfortable. The other motor characteristics reads not bad. What else to consider with the bike? 3) Triumpgh Street Triple (R?) – is this also available with at least half-covering? I mean, I would have seen such photos, but can’t find anything (also at the cost). Unfortunately, would no ABS, but that wouldn’t be an exclusion criterion. 4) What else? Honda and Triumph have bigger NL. Yamaha has a big center in Cologne. Therefore, the manufacturers were closest to me. But which other mod elle/Manufacturer should I keep in mind? What distinguishes the one compared to the mentioned ones? Is half-covering sufficient when driving fast on the highway, or should it be full-covering? Thank you in advance for your opinions and experiences : )

  • Garmin Nüvi, only run with adapter cable?

I bought a Garmin NüVi 1450… If I connect things with the org car cable everything is OK. However, as planned by me, it switches to PC mode via the USB adapter and adapter cable… So it would have to teach the part that it also concerns. With a 2nd car cable without TCM receiver it also works… That would be the desirable condition for adapter cables (cable mini USB to USB). Suggestions what to change on the cable…?

  • Which motorcycle for A2 newcomer

Hi, I passed my A2 driver’s license a few days ago and get it in a few weeks (only on the 18th birthday). Now I have saved 3000 euros and would like to buy me a new motorcycle by installment payment or 50/50 financing. At first I wanted to get the Honda CBR500R, but I find it a bit stupid that it has no gait display. But now I have seen the announcement of the new Kawasaki Ninja 400 and I like it very much. The Ninja 400 is still nice. My concern, however, is that I have heard from many colleagues who are already riding a motorcycle that I should rather buy a bigger machine (600-750ccm) and then throttle it so that I can drive faster without any problems after the 2 years after I made the normal motorcycle driver’s license. My questions: 1.Which motorcycle is good for a newcomer (have nothing against Naked or Cruiser) 2.Does the Ninja 400 2018 recommend it? 3.Does buy and throttle larger ones or is 400-500ccm ok(vlt Ninja 650?)? 4.Does the Ninja 400 or the CBR500R have a Sozius with corresponding footrests? Hope you can help me.

  • Motorcycle for work & short tours wanted

Hi together, I wasn’t active in the biker forum so far, but that could change in the future. Although I’m not a beginner, I had the motorcyclist hanged to the nail ~6 years ago. And to get to the point, I am currently looking for a motorcycle with which I want to drive mainly to work, because the parking situation here for cars has become simply untenable with regard to fees/residents parking/etc. and we recently also with a car not meh r can put on the company premises. Now only the question is which motorcycle I take best for this purpose, I simply lack the real market overview. I already thought of the usual suspects like GS500E, Bandit 600, SV650 & Co. (-must not be Suzuki), but I am simply no longer in the topic and certainly other alternative or even good insider tips. I am also not fixed on a type or brand, whether road, tourer, or sport… Allerd I don’t want 125s and no scooter. It should be a proper motorcycle, but it is still moderate in maintenance. Personally, I’m rather focused on the sporty sector, but this is not supposed to be a requirement in this case and falls only under “must not, but would be nice”. In addition to the work, I might also do a smaller tour once in a while. Price-wise, I thought of a frame up to a maximum of 2,500 euros. anyone a few ideas too?

  • Story – from one who wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle…

A friend finally wanted to make her driver’s license after a season as a socio. old enough for direct entry. However, completely unprejudiced (never mopped or driven before). So done, she registered in Eberswalde (Brandenburg) at the driving school. The girl is busy, learns theory, passed 0 error points. A little later the 125s was manageable, the 34hp machine came. 1. double hour drove on the practice site. Next double hour already She was afraid of the bend…! After 10min driving time what had to come came. With luck she missed the tree, with luck she is not down the slope. One can say, “can happen”. However, you could not have avoided. (she drove forward) She then fell more or less. Result leg broken. Now the story becomes interesting. The driving teacher drives her to the hospital and wants to get a note of The contents of the note should confirm to the driving instructor that the accident took place on the practice site. But what he did not have! The background is, the driving instructor has no insurance for the road (how far he has to take extra precautions I don’t know), only for the practice site. She is now sitting in a wheelchair (the break is not so bad, but 6 weeks outside of the fence). The police were at home, the advertisement was cancelled. The driving instructor wants to have paid the double hour. Later he still calls and asks if she has no more money. She can come to his home to provide “services” for money. What the driving instructor unfortunately had not considered, the telephone conversation would be received at the law firm and listened to by the lawyer’s assistant. Now we all hope that after the healing she still gets the courage to continue and not This will not be a credence of the driving instructors present here. But it simply served to free the soul. The procedure will probably take place only when it hopefully has its driver’s license in its pocket. So grass can not grow over the matter for a long time. —>A teacher’s answer to the insurance situation… Thank you

  • The first motorcycle: throttles? Cylinders?

Moin, have already created a few weeks ago for me to start a motorcycle and have been looking since then. During my search I encountered several problems: On the topic throttle: I have already searched half the internet and found no suitable answer yet. Should I throttle a 100hp machine? Some say “Yes, nothing happens”, others say “how would you find it that one belt around the chest to run fast and 10 minutes?”. Unfortunately, I am by these arguments un sure, since especially the example of mim belt somehow makes sense My next problem is the number of cylinders. I rather live in a curvy, mountainous area, so a 2cylinder should be more advantageous, right? They go off right in the lower speed range and are at the ENd speed slower than 4cylinders but since I will not drive any ~200km/h here anyway should the 2cylinder probably fit better to me or? I hope you can help me somehow LG VediJones

  • Extinguish the type-approval in spite of the component with an E-number?

Hello, I get my new motorcycle this month. Since the motorcycle is still relatively new, there are not a lot of accessories, especially not in the exhaust area. Now a manufacturer has an exhaust available, which is equipped with E-number. On the EC-BE service card, which is always sent with this, is also noted my motorcycle, among some others, but without year of construction specification. Now my question: Can the type approval of my motorcycle expire if I have this type of motorcycle The problem: this exhaust “deactivates” the standard exhaust flap, which all motorcycles with Euro4 standard have installed. The exhaust flap sits in the tailpiece just before the exhaust and is removed without replacement when changing the exhaust.
