  • Beginner’s question: Motorcycle gloves for the test, class A

Good morning together, I’m doing my class A driver’s license and I have the first two hours behind me. Because I need it afterwards anyway, I have already bought the complete equipment. I was confused with the gloves now. Because I don’t have a photo right now, here are links that illustrate what I mean. I bought about those. These have no “standing” / visible ankle protection like this one. My driving instructor says that the examiner would This type of gloves does not allow, because there is no “dedicated” ankle protection. The dealer says that the gloves carry the CE mark and the logo (see above on the left) and are therefore allowed. Therefore, the question to all who may know this: what is it right now? Should I buy other gloves or do mine? If this is the wrong forum I ask for an apology and a postponement. Greeting and in advance beautiful WE to all!

  • Purchase advice/proposals wanted – Tourer/Sporttourer/Naked Bike/?/???

Hello together and love greetings from the Odenwald. I hope it is ok if I ask my questions here. I am looking for a used motorcycle. I am 26 years old, student, 190cm tall and weigh about 120 kg. So far I have driven a Kawasaki Zx6-r Bj. 1998 which was ok, but does not fit in my profile if I want to ride larger/longer tours. That’s why I also tried to make a Yamaha XT 550 Bj. 1883 fit again. The motorcycle stood 6 years. I had vo r to drive this motorcycle to Sweden at the end of July with 2 colleagues. I also got the Yamaha. So far the motorcycle riding was also fun only I noticed now after longer use a high oil loss. The engine seals must be made absolutely. I would like to do this privately but unfortunately lack the time until my vacation where I actually want to drive to Sweden. My two colleagues would each with a Honda NTV 650 and a Suzuki Bandi Now to my actual question or help. I want to finish the Yamaha in the future absolutely but I somehow see myself a solution for my goal to drive to Sweden by grabbing back on another motorcycle. The purse is narrow and my limit is at 3,000 € – Wanted something with comfortable sitting position – with which I could ride but also quickly come from A to B daily – Sozius here would be again about 60kg d azu kommen – Fahr fun and the look should be right – Reliability & longevity I haven’t driven so many motorcycles that I can say exactly what I want. Of course I have certain dream motorcycles but that doesn’t allow my current wallet. I don’t know at all on the used market and I’m not aware of what I have to pay attention to. Therefore, the question here in this forum and the request for help. Can my wishes be combined at all? I thank me very much for the time you have taken and for the help. Greetings

  • Switching from road machine/naked bike to Enduro/Supermoto but which bike?

Hello, I am thinking of getting a new (other) bike. First of all to my person, I am 1.79m tall and weigh about 83kg. I have been driving a Suzuki SV 650 N for 7 years, with which I am also very satisfied. Since I would also like to sweep again over a dirt road and over small, narrow, uneven connecting roads but also want to drive a lot of country road, I tend towards Enduro/Supermoto. Since the SV is a pure road bike and in my opinion rather for the well-developed highway and the AB (with stronger ground waves it is already uncomfortable), something else should happen. I came across the following machines during my research: Yamaha XT 600 E, Yamaha XTR 660, Suzuki DR 650 SE, Suzuki DRZ 400 E, MZ Baghira, BMW F650 GS What is important to me: -Handiness, even in a light terrain ratio Mass/Performance (should be able to sprint well :-), top speed is rather secondary) -Length, maintenance poverty…I don’t want all 15000km overtake the engine (this means that sports equipment a la KTM, Husquarna, etc. are already out???) -technology where you can use your own hand – as low consumption as possible Questions: -What is better suited for the described area of application, Enduro or SM? -What are the driving differences between Enduro and SM? -Who can speak from experience and call pros and cons of the mentioned bikes (robustness, riding characteristics)? -Which bikes should you use when buying used bikes? Are there any alternatives to the above-mentioned bikes that fall into my application area? I am happy about tips and suggestions! MfG, kindermitmensch

  • Beginners without driving experience, sensible idea?

Hello, I am now 18 and I want to start with the driver’s license. Best car and motorcycle together. I would like to drive a super sportsman. But since I have absolutely zero driving experience so far, my friends recommended me to take a cheap machine. At least so for 1-2 years, until you know what you want. Probably after that would be a R6. But now I looked around a little and when I saw the Honda CB 500 F they had the urge to choose But the old model from the 70s. Does anyone know now if there is also cheap and if it makes sense to take such an old model and on what should I pay attention if it is to become the CB500F? I suppose that the CB500F is just as cheap in insurance and maintenance as the newer ones, am I right there? Thank you Edit: I just see there is also a CB350 F with 34hp. That would surely be ideal, because the translation is already perfect,or not? So for A shr I don’t think that’s the right choice, but because they’re classic cars, they’re probably a little more expensive, and if, for example, 40,000km there’s okay, you have to look…

  • Beginner’s mistake: get smart! ^^

Hi guys, I think I’d be really funny if we opened a small collection thread on the topic “Beginner error: get smart!”. Everyone starts small and everyone makes mistakes from which one learns. Whether it’s technical or driving. This creates beautiful stories about everyone laughs and by which one also gets smarter! Ergo I would say that you hit two flies with one stone! I start with: On the topic “chain protection”: A boy pound as I think si ch with the topic chain guard only one sentence: “Is this thing also to be used for something other than to look like shit?” > So off with it, but fast! 1 minute was off. So I swing me happily on my SV and am delighted at the FSK (free-swinging culture)… Well, what can you say?! After the tour I put my baby back and ask myself: “Why to the vulture is my tail so fucked up with black, tough mass?! – Shit, more tar on the road, or what? thought about what it might have triggered and then a lot of it to me: “Ah, the chain guard should not protect the chain from rockfall or something like that!” Well, a very stupid mistake does, but I caught my head afterwards and built it again! MFG lupaxy

  • Which two-wheeler is it supposed to be…

Hello, I am 32 years old ALT and have finally made my A appearance. Now I am looking for a machine that can meet my requirements. I will drive about 200-300km per week (one-way route) with 2/3 share of BAB 1/3 Bundesstraße/Landstraße and what on weekends I don’t know yet Since I think, with the KM and a driving time of min. 2 maybe also 3 hours, that you probably get more back problems with super athletes and I sometimes auc h has to transport a few things, after my NON EXPERIENCE the following models come out as favorites: -Kawasaki ER6F ( <--gives something with 800ccm?) -Yamaha FZ8 or 6 each as a Fazer What would still be an interesting motorcycle with which I could deal with? I am 1.86 m. As said preferably the woolly milk sow. 130 should not blow me off the bock - as a beginner a 800 times quite easy enough to still after 2-3 years much fun on the machin I want to invest a maximum of 7-8.000 €. If you have had good experience with Naked Bikes with signage, there is also something for the best. Are there actually motorcycles in the area where the Sozius can also be used? With the above mentioned motorcycles say the test this is not really the case! Thank you for the help. Carsten

  • Biker pairs wanted

We M,W 55, 51 years old or young from the area Mönchengladbach, both self-drivers are looking for contact with just such couples. After we had a meeting with a “biker pair” at the beginning of the 2013 season that unfortunately went terribly wrong, it only appeared to him, had no time, although we had arranged. He told funny stories why his wife had not come and made us a very happy one. pressure when he was able to drive again after an hour although we had driven almost 90 km to the meeting, no, we do not believe that it is up to us. Nevertheless, we think that it might be possible for some couples like us who want to build up a circle of acquaintances where both also ride motorbikes, or also ride together as Sozius or Sozia. We have found the seed driving partner, or those who ride together on a motorcycle, enriching a carpool, because different I Thempo is not an important topic for us and also enough breaks on the tour are simply obligatory. We also ride with the motorcycles often invite them on holiday on a trailer looking for a nice hotel and then spend a week often in Austria Italy etc. Of course day tours in the area are always our destination. Maybe it succeeds here via the The platform, even if the 2013 season is almost over, is the beginning for a small group that simply wants to make the fun of cycling and touring 2014 more interesting. We would be happy about Post. H&R

  • Exceptional mopped searched

I have a small luxury problem at the moment: I would like to get a bike, but it should be something special. The performance and the utility value are completely secondary, it should only be (!) different as standard. I spontaneously think of the Suzuki Van Van, the Piaggio MP3 or the Honda DN1. All machines that are a little different, but none of them really convinces me yet. Do you have a few better ideas? As I said, performance doesn’t matter if finally Spor tler or scooter doesn’t matter either. It can’t be anything “normal”. P.S.: I know Gunbus and Bosshoss, but it shouldn’t be that way either.
