Hello everybody, I’m a little in an inner mess. I know such questions have come here many times, but every situation is always individual.. To myself, I’m 27 and the motorcycle passion burns up in me again. I made the big driver’s license at 18 and now that I’m working hard there is finally money there to fulfill the “dream”. I just fell in love with the Ducati 848. I was sitting on it already and she has sic But then I don’t really want to do two years with a machine that I really don’t like, just riding a motorcycle has something to do with emotions I’d like to have a bit of input or experience from your probably bigger 2 wheel past. Just get the 848 or first something else? I appreciated myself as vera I am always aware of the risk/hazard. I am grateful for every post! Many greetings

Beginner bike with cardan drive
Hello Leude, I’ve been thinking for some time about a beginner bike. I know that the classics in the area of the Kawasaki ER5, Susuki GS500 and Honda CBXXX are, but to my knowledge, only with chain and rather for small people. Therefore, I’m looking for a bike that should meet the following requirements: The bike MUST: – have cardan drive – be a naked bike – be well suited for “big” people like me (about 1.90 m) – be available for under 1.400 € (vehicles from late n 80s/earlier 90s desired) The Bike SOLLTE: – not be over 48 HP strong – have a relatively good handling I hope you have good suggestions and thank me for quick, good answers. Blubbering in cooling water balancers – Kawasaki ER6n (2009)
Good evening, dear congregation, I turn to you in the hope of finding advice and solutions. I had a used Kawasaki ER6n, ABS, reduced to 34hp about 5 weeks ago. Kilomterstand: ~26500 km For a while everything ran round, but then the following symptoms occurred (chronological): The main problem is here (5). I have listed the other points only to facilitate possible conclusions. You never know about (5): Before driving (cold engine) is t the cooling liquid just below , after the ride, when the “bubbling”, the liquid stands scarcely . Furthermore, this morning (short drive in the morning , no bubbling ) I found that a thin bubble layer had formed on the oil (no discoloration ) and the oil level glass was fogged from the inside . First diagnosis would certainly be cylinder head seal , but I would love to discard the thought . There is also no white smoke from the exhaust . Leichsbehälter are not to be seen either. Since I am a bloody beginner, I would be grateful for any diagnostic advice. If possible, describe this gladly a bit more in detail, so I can learn something directly I am grateful for any help ! PS.: Who can come up with solutions for (2), can also share them –> unfortunately is not fixed yet and the Mechs could not fix anything either.

Woman has the B196, what’s next?
Hello, since I no longer wanted to take my wife with me as a socio, she made the B196 this fall. Why? First, so that she can practice switching for the big rag on a 125er. And second, so that she learns the basics properly from a driving school and endangers the purchased material. Now I wonder which vehicle I should favor next spring. In short, there are two considerations. 1. GSXS 125, you learn the operation relatively well. However, we live in Bavaria and therefore the proximity to Austria is a reason why I am often on the road there. Also, the overtaking with a 125er is rather bad than right possible. Find the 125er P/L moderately at present but also mercilessly overpriced. 2.Mp3 and consorts (Tricity, Metropolis), so you can never learn to ride a motorcycle, but you can go to Austria and Co. and can overtake trucks halfway decently. 300er would probably be a little too weak, so I have to ine MP3 400LT. What do I ask myself: How do the tricycles drive? Has one already driven several of them in comparison? These are the tricycles compared to the 125 in maintenance? (weaknesses etc. ?) Budget is somewhere at 4-5000€. Or do you have to grab deeper into the bag for something suitable? Optics is secondary, should have ABS and not fall apart right at the first ride. I am grateful for any useful information on the subject. LG Haasinger

Motorcycle with flood damage – what do you think?
I stumbled over the offer of a collector (no, not the well-known collector here from the forum), who had his treasures in the flood area of July flood disaster. He has now in itself in above-average condition motorcycles from one to four cylinder with water damage, which he now wants to sell. The motorcycles were completely flooded, i.e. they stood for some time in quite certainly not clean water. Externally with a high-pressure the bikes look very well cleaned, they were always well maintained or prepared. Now I think back and forth, whether the purchase of such a motorcycle is worthwhile or not. What do you have to reckon with? What I would think of first are • Tank • Electrics • Instruments • Carburettor • Engine • Exhaust I see the problem of increased corrosion in general, but also the risk that for example sand or mud could still cause late consequences or even now not already gl For example, a tacho full of mud that didn’t run out completely could block its mechanics. The motorcycles are recognizable jewels. At least they were. What should be reckoned with in work? I have little space and time, so a complete disassembly would not be possible. But there are really nice mopeds in it. Alone of (m)a former dream moped, the Yamaha SRX 6 the man has three pieces, plus a lot of Hiedene Honde XBR, GB Clubman, Triumph and certainly more. What do you mean? Greeting Michael

New economical right motorcycle
The fuel prices are rising. It is unlikely that they will settle in again in the old area. So far I have been able to fill up with small money, now a filling really costs money. This can still be afforded, but that allows a discussion: about modern economical and usable motorcycles. About the search function can only be found on the topic Uralt-Beiträge, respectively discussions about sense and nonsense of diesel moppeds, electric and similar. I don’t want to know what a scooter or a 250-ger Kawa swallow. I ride a motorcycle for fun, but I still travel with it. I want more. Are there modern real motorcycles, such as from 400 cubics and from 50 hp, which actually consume little petrol? If so, who has one of these, and can report?

Mobile phone defective due to vibrations on the bike
Hello! I had installed my iPhone11 on a mobile phone holder yesterday and was on the road with my approx. 4 hours. Since then, the autofocus doesn’t work on the mobile phone anymore – the camera can’t make any more sharp. Quickly Googled and this is really a bug with such high-tech mobile phones. Now my question: Do you have a recommendation for a low-vibration rescue that really fixes this problem? Alternatively, only an old mobile phone remains to be used as a bike phone. How is your experience?

Which machine for the terrain to sniff out?
Hello dear community, I’m doing the first e-mail in the bike forum and I hope for a little help I’m 30 years old and I made my motorcycle driver license last year, class A unlimited. Mountain biking is a big hobby of mine, especially the tougher gear, downhill and freeride! Together with my senior I would like to take a motorcycle to the terrain, e.g. to Grevenbroich. My father drives a DR350 with 32hp, which goes quite neatly, I would even like to find But I wanted to ask you what you could recommend as an alternative. Recently I drove the KTM Freeride E-XC, I totally fell in love with it, especially the low weight of the mountain bike, of course! But to get to know the E-XC and also the 125 variant is too expensive for me. If the fever doesn’t bother me, I spent 700€ and then stand there with the machine. So it should be a little cheaper for the beginning. a, a so-called permanent burner, which you can also get sold well again. Budget is around 2k€. If it should be important, I am just over 1.8m and weigh ~80kg. Thank you and greetings, Gonzo
