  • Beginners looking for a suitable model

Hello together, next month it is finally with me with the driver’s license so far and I am already diligently looking for my first machine. As a comparatively small person (1,65m) I would like to have a small / light motorcycle for the beginning. I like the Yamaha SR 250 very well purely optically, but it seems to be rarely found used. Basically however, I am open for suggestions and hope that you could provide me with some ideas about the following basic data. : – Price max. 1500 used – Type: Chopper, Cruiser – as small/light as possible Thanks for your help!

  • Electric motorcycle upgrade kit for your bike

Hey Guys, I’m doing a little study with respect to electric mobility, focusing on electric motorcycles. I’m sure you’ve all heard about the Mission Motors superbike at some stage, here a quite snippet with Jay Leno:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyYAJgEblrA Most of us will not be able to affect this bike, and I’m wonderful what people would be happy to pay if there was a complete electric engine-motor upgrade kit that you could ‘simply swap’ into your bike. You would have to replace the fuel tan k and the internal combustion motor with a battery and an electric motor, both made specifically to suit your bike. The electric motor would be as powerful as the internal combustion engine, but mileage would be limited to about 100 km before having to charge. Amongst others, advantages of electric are: – clean and silent (possibility of accessing zero-emission zones that are being enforced through the world in national parks or inner cities) – charging for 100 km costs less than 0.5 USD in energy, and less than 3 USD in battery (battery has limited lifetime) – cost will Likely reduction in future due to progress in (battery) technology (air-Li batteries, etc.), while the price of oil will Likely increase (peak oil, etc.) – motorcycle does not loose function when submerged under water (offroad riding) – no Hazardous fumes, bike can be parked in your bedroom, no oil leaks – because it’s a kit, you could switch back to your internal combustion engine and sell the electric motor and b attery if needs change – center of gravity does not change during operation as is the case with a fuel tank and an internal combustion engine – environmentally mentally smart and responsive Would be nice to hear what you guys think, Cheers! Possible answers: 1/4 of motorcycle purchase price 1/3 of motorcycle purchase price 1/2 of motorcycle purchase price Same as motorcycle purchase price I would not consider changing to electric I think electric motorcycles are stupid! I would only consider a complete electric bike

  • Deferral protection (no insurance)

I watched some videos at youtube, I noticed that he screwed on such pipes on the rear wheel and that there is a widening at the front (also through pipes). In a faller only the wheels and the above mentioned pipes are on the floor and the covering remains intact. Now the question is so what is allowed in public road traffic, if yes, where can you buy such a thing or have to put your own hand? If you still can’t get a picture of it here in video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20XsaHpRQC8&feature=g-high-rec At 1:50 you can see what I mean.

  • Racing disc

Hello guys Would you like to ask if any of you have had experience with a racing disc? I would be most interested in finding out if it is good in terms of final speed. If so, which would you recommend? I’m 1.85 m tall and still use the original disc of the Zx 10r 2010… Thanks already

  • Beginner sports tourer for 2m man

Hello, just at the age of 37 make my class A driver’s license and look for a suitable motorcycle. Unfortunately Google has not been able to help me. This search has the following conditions: driver size 2m with long legs, price up to 3500 €, type tourer/sporttourer. I have found so far: Honda CBR 1000F or CBR1100XX Kawasaki ZZR 1100 Yamaha FJR1300 and BMW R 1150 RT Now the problem: Except for the BMW (feel not old enough for this) they all have so much horsepower, whether that is for beginners? Gi Is it big motorcycles with a small engine? Or should I buy such a big one and then throttle it on e.g. 98 hp? For a good advice or motorcycle suggestions I would be grateful to you. Greetings Knautsch

  • Your mileage outside the usual season (3-10)?

Evening! I’m interested in how many kilometers you’ve driven out of the usual 3-10 season last year, i.e. in the months of November / December / January / February. I’d like to hear from the people WITH season marks how many days they’ve cursed (outside the season). Greetings from MD

  • Bussgeldkatalog 2014; free way for noise terrorists…

Freshly discovered on FB… Quotation: Today is May 1, 2014 – today the new driving fitness register (FaER) comes into force. One of the most prominent changes: For manipulative changes to exhaust systems, there are no more points. According to the new law there are only points for violations that affect traffic safety. A too loud exhaust does not belong to it. An information from the Federal Ministry of Transport on our request in January had made something else to expect. N However, no. 214a of the old catalogue of fines was split into 214a and 214b: “214a – vehicle put into service despite the expiry of its type-approval and thus significantly impairs road safety (§ 19 paragraph 5 sentence 1& § 69a paragraph 2 no. 1a StVO) 214a.1 – a lorry or bus -180 € 214a.2 – a vehicle other than those referred to in 214a.1 – 90 € 214b – vehicle put into service despite the expiry of its type-approval and thus significantly improve the environment. Impaired (§ 19 paragraph 5 sentence 1& § 69a paragraph 2 no. 1a StVO) 214b.1 – a lorries or lorries -180 € 214b.2 – a vehicle other than those mentioned in 214a.1 – 90 €- According to No. 3.5.8 of the new point catalogue (Appendix 13 to § 40 FEV), there is one point for violations of No. 214a BKatV, but not for violations of No. 214b. We would like the DB killers to be mounted and manipulation to remain the exception. In the interests of ourselves, we as motorcyclists should take this into consideration, because roadblocks are discussed in many places.

  • Driver’s license new – motorcycle new – first tour?

Hi there, I just wanted to ask you what you drove as the “first tour” when you got the bike new? Rather a small round, just bitsl in the city, right on a big trip? On Wednesday I can pick up my bike and then have 4 days off at a time (hopefully the weather fits). I would like to start (live in Magdeburg) immediately towards Harz, but am not sure if the distance is too far? Do you have a few tips for small re Tours around Magdeburg or in Saxony Anhalt? Thank you very much!

  • Motorcycle driver’s license too expensive… Helpless 🙁

Hello World, Coming soon (mid-May) I want to finally make my long-awaited A2. Now I’m looking at which driving schools are in question. Living in Bielefeld. The most affordable offer so far: 12 special trips + basic fee + registration for the exam = 1043 € !!!! Special rides cost 58 € …. Without any driving hours and sight test and the other all included. And I find this simply incredible that you have to pay so much, I would like to pay under 1000 € , also because my budget is limited . I also think that I can get along without additional hours already for 2 years with scooter and Enduro, of course not on the road . So I know it was probably asked a thousand times here , but is there not by now any other solution ? You have to save something … Does someone have a tip or a suggestion ? grtz the potato face

  • Onboard socket mounting help

Hello, I am about to install a power socket on my SV 650 S. I have already bought the following power socket:http://www.louis.de/…/index.php?… Plan: Power socket should get a switch. This should be placed under the seat of Sozius. So that I can take the power outlet from the grid by circuit interruption if necessary. What I lack is a suitable switch. At Conrad there is already a lot of choice. And so the electric master I am now not about the right switch What do I have to pay attention to? Can you give me some suggestions and possibly intsallation tips?
