  • License passed, what now?

Moin people, hope to get a little help from you. Last week it was finally time and I successfully completed my practical exam and now owns the driving license of class A (bes.). I wanted to get a machine as soon as possible. It should not cost more than 1500,-€. Since I liked my driving school machine, a CB500, extremely well, it should become “actually” also my first machine. Well, now questions have come up, which I want to try with To clarify your help so that the purchase is a little easier for me: 1. Honda CB500 or yet a Kawa ER-5 Twister / Suzi GS 500 E? (Would I “actually” set myself on the CB500, but you get for 1500,-€ something neat? I have already been looking for in the I-Net, well, the offers are net so dolle, with the other manufacturers there are mostly better offers for the same sum.) 2. Does someone know motorcycle dealers in and around Hamburg? 3. Is it “short” before the cold season a motorist 4. The CB500 has different variants, some with, some without disc brake at the rear. I had one with in the driving school. But almost all the machines in my price segment have a drum brake at the rear. Is the gap between pros and cons so large that it would be better to bring a machine with disc brake at the rear? 5. Should you pay attention to special parts of the CB500 before buying the car? e, where for the price, often high mileage, are prone to wear? 6. Since I can drive only limited to 34hp… should one buy an already limited machine? Is it harmful for the engine to limit a machine sustainably? 7. Insurance and control technology…how much does the motorcycle cost with 34hp for a season (all year?) ? Is the open machine with 58hp much more expensive than the one with 34hp? So, ask more don’t come to mind at the moment. ^^ I hope to number rich answers and your opinions and tips. Mfg Eugen

  • >> Motorcycle tour through Austria – what do I have to consider?

Hello, in summer this year I planned with my buddy to do a small motorcycle tour to the south. Since we probably also want to go to Austria, there are certain things to consider there. So I know e.g. that I have to carry a small bandage bag there. is there even more things we have to consider? Does anyone have any idea what the toll for the motorcycle costs?MfG Kosmospilot

  • Suggestions Naked around 1000 ccm, no row four engine

Hey folks, I’m looking for suggestions. Next year there’s definitely something new (currently old GSX1100G) and I want to try as much as possible until then. In any case towards Naked and no four-cylinders. There’s probably no pots in the order of magnitude, so 2-3 cylinders. I definitely have XSR and monsters on the list. What else am I thinking about? Do you have experiences you want to share? I’m grateful for every hint! Oh, until 10 kiloeuro max., so new RnineT or new monsters fall out of the grid 😉

  • Less brand hatred among motorcyclists ?

If I only imagine that, or is it the case that there is less of this brand hatred among motorcyclists, such as those who like to quote between VW & opel drivers? Is it because I read in a signature today: Dear sister in P**f than a brother on a bandit. And I thought to myself like this: Look at it! But that’s not so representative for motorcyclists. That every “his” brand is clearly preferred ->otherwise he would drive another one. But the tolerance is after all bigger among motorcyclists. So at least my experience is !!! Am I too optimistic? How do you see that? ps I wanted to refer to the Threat “Motoradgrüß – Wie Warum”. Can’t find it anymore. Where did it go??

  • Pocket bike /dirt cross

Hello! I bought a brand new Dirt bike /pocket cross. I drove with it for about 3 hours and now I have the following problem: As soon as I start it I can drive around the 30 sec, after that there is automatically gas and then dies off. I can always steal this with the start and it always happens the same. To rule out some mistakes I have to say again that everything is new only 3 hours. What should I do now? mfg. Flo

  • Honda CBF 600 or Suzuki GSR 600 – which take ? Beginner’s question

Hello, would have the opportunity to choose among these two bikes: Honda CBF 600 EZ 2008 / 77 hp with 9,000 km incl. ABS from 1st hand and stapled for around 3800 Euro or Suzuki GSR 600 A EZ 2007 / 98 hp with 10,000 km incl. ABS from 2nd hand (1st holder was dealer approval) and stapled, new battery, new tires, other handlebars with grip heating and new inspection for 3800 Euro Both machines are probably non-cash and private. ahl ? Reason ? Is for me the 1st machine – can enter as an end-thirty immediately unlimited and wants to drive the machine a few years – therefore undisturbed. Other machines are currently not considered – I have been looking for longer – I would like others also, but the two seem at least pricey and very interesting with regard to the distance. Would be extremely grateful for Tips

  • Chain hanger and suspension. Mathegenies asked!

To say it with Bodo Bach: “I’d like to have a problem there:” I have now noticed several times how much the cross-section (landwise called “voltage”) of a drive chain changes when the motorcycle springs in the rear, i.e. a chunk of my caliber sits on it. That this is due to the fact that the pivot point of the swing and pivot point of the chain sniper, i.e. the drive and the swing axis, lie apart, is clear to me. I have just finished a 650 Enduro and their If this enduro stands unloaded on the side stand and the chain cross-section is about 40-50 mm (difference of top and bottom point) the chain is tight when I load the bench with more than 100 kilos. I therefore ask the math geniuses here, how to explain it or calculate it. I was never a math genius, but somehow I think that the distance of the drive-back axle is greatest when the drive-wing and rear axle are defined on a line. This is the case most likely in the springed state. If the planer is springed out again, the rear axle wanders in a circular arc-shaped movement from this escape downwards, whereby the distance from the output axis to the rear axle decreases, or am I wrong? Does it have something to do with the size of the pinion and the chain wheel? But they remain constant in all positions… I think that these are minimal values, but that would have to be calculated if you could calculate the Distan The length of the tangent of the circular arc motion of the HA is almost 10 cm. On the other hand, you also need only a few mm at the chain tensioner to get from 40 mm game to 70-80. If the chain of the 650 has a play of 30-40 mm at load, the cross-hang in spring-out condition is already almost dramatic. Can someone explain this to me, better click on how to calculate this ?
