Here’s a question that goes more to the specialists among you: I intend to drive a bit more “professional” in winter. Like many others here, I am one of the year-round drivers. “All-year-round” stops quickly, however, as soon as snow is on the road. With today’s very smooth tires there is definitely not to drive with over 100hp engine power. Even easy start-up is almost impossible without you leaving the rear wheel. Therefore my first wish for a r This should be able to handle a faller and have less than 40hp. Performance is not necessarily an advantage for snow. But this should not be the question here. More interesting for me is the thing about the motorcycle winter tires. There are them (mostly for Enduros) and now the question arises for me, how good are they really and who has experience with them? Is this actually much better on the snow or does this only bring a small margin? The questions refer only to motorcycles, not cars. I have winter tires on it, of course, and I don’t want to miss them here in the mountains. I realize that winter tires on ice nevertheless quickly get to their border and that you can’t drive like in summer on a dry road. I also don’t want to argue about the general meaning of winter tires or pro-and-contra all year round. Here in Switzerland it snows in winter and I möc ht use the snow properly and don’t cry about it.

Fresh oil after the winter break?
Hello everybody! Jetz is going to start soon!! Next week I would like to start my Suzi. At the moment my battery is still loading. Jetz times a question: I bought my machine last year in November. The dealer has still fresh oil pure and fully filled up. So that the carburettor does not stick so much, I tipped in for the wintering of such a fuel supplement (hope of what has helped, one will see…) But what I actually wanted to know, I have to reboot new oil ve Or does it last for the winter, after all it was completely new before the wintering (I drove max. 2km).(Shortly to the bike: Suzuki GSF 650s bandit (year of construction 2005; driven kilometers 1,200 > from the previous owner) Thank you! Greetings, Basti

Help with the purchase decision of a sporting Naked Bike or Sporttourer 1000ccm
Hi everyone, I have been planning to buy a new or used bike for a long time to replace my old Yamaha. In 2020 it is now so far…but unfortunately I don’t see the forest anymore because of the trees anymore and you might have some ideas for me. It should definitely be something sporty around the 150 HP, because I used to drive the heavy 1000cc super athletes from the 90s and 2000s and I currently just lack the torque at my 600ers. l but now no racetracks will be a bike that is too sensitive, a good-natured, more relaxed setting such as the Suzuki GSX S1000F which I have already tested would be a good fit for me. Now I usually ride in the city, sometimes also overland, but rarely tours. The possibility to store a helmet and possibly jacket in a bike in a case would be ideal. So I am open to everything from naked bike to sports tourer. That which limits the market now and ic h finally lost the overview…the bike should be able to pull bends ABS, ESP and Quickshift with blipper (so switch up and down without clutch). Because after I have driven the Honda CB1000R with blipper, I honestly don’t want to do without it anymore with a new bike. Does anyone have a good suggestion for me? Thank you 😛

White, as cool as possible summer pants – hero Torno?
I’m currently looking for a counterpart to the hero Airmate Mesh jacket. At Polo they had the Drive Mohawk, which is only available in black. Since this heats up badly in the sun, I see little sense in that. The hero Torno would still be in bright color, does someone have experiences with it? Or else somehow a tip? Does not exist much in white/grey.

Motorbike as a “service car” as a trader ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Dear biker friends, I have a somewhat “dusty” question, namely on the subject of taxes :-). I am self-employed and am doing the driving licence class A. Since I am travelling in the city professionally, which I have always used to drive by public transport, I would like to do this from the season 2023 always from March to October with a season registration mark with the motorcycle. Therefore, of course, I would like to apply the bike tax, so Since the topic is completely new to me, I still have a few questions and would be very pleased if someone – who also uses his motorcycle as a “company car with 1% regulation” – could answer my question marks in the head: 1. If I am properly informed, it is basically possible to apply a motorcycle as a “service vehicle” for tax purposes and tax it with the 1% regulation – is treated tax-wise exactly as one would do with a car. ? 2. Can I, as a trader, also claim the VAT of the purchase price (50% down payment and rest in the form of monthly leasing instalments spread over 24 or 36 months) via the VAT advance registrations? 3. Can I also claim the costs for the driving licence class A and/or the motorcycle clothing (jackets, trousers, gloves, boots, etc.) tax (both VAT at the UsSt declaration/pre-registration as well as as as as operating expenditure in the business tax declaration), since you have to pay the Use of the motorcycle is necessary? 4. Is the season license plate a problem? I use the motorcycle then “only” from March to October and in the months of November to February I then ride the train. I would be very happy if someone could help me here. Or maybe someone also has a link where I can find this information… Thank you in advance! Christian

Parking your motorcycle – what’s legal and what’s not? Or what’s going on?
My daughter has parked her motorcycle on the road (to me) because the walkway is very narrow. On the motorcycle there was a note from the city that the holder will receive a notification. The accusation: “You have violated traffic regulations (StVO or StVZO) with your vehicle.” The cars parked there have no notes behind the windscreen wiper and the motorcycle is in standard condition with valid HU apart from the top case. o in Germany Municipalities that demand that motorcycles are not parked on the road? It is known that parking in different municipalities is handled differently, but for two-wheelers suddenly a parking ban applies, if the sidewalk does not allow to park there? Greeting Michael (who is at the moment totally irritated)

Driving school motorcycle often tilts while stopping
I hope you can give me a little bit of courage and maybe give me some tips. I have 13 driving hours so far and my instructor wants to take the test with me next week Thursday. Everything really works great (start, turn, bends, I have all the basic driving tasks on it), except that stop for example at a crossroads. As soon as I get to the intersection and stop brake I will become incredibly unstable I can still catch it, but it still feels very funny and unsettled. My instructor only says “when braking or stopping, always keep the handlebar straight”. I always talk about that before the crossing, but it doesn’t work that I get to a clean stop. I hope you’re someone who can give me some tips on how to somehow get this cramped stop. A lot of things to do. Thank you very much! MfG Marc

Naked Bike for beginners
Servus, I’m new here and wanted to introduce myself first: My name is Tristan, I come from near Munich and only drive (until now) car. But that should change at the beginning of next year, so I’m looking for a naked bike for beginners. (Yes, I know there are already 20000 threads) But should be something very specific. I would like to have 2 cylinders and relatively much torque ‘below’ in order not to have to drive constantly with 10000 u/min. Do you have any concrete suggestions? Shouldn’t be too expensive at the price – have about 3000€ at your disposal. Achso: am approx. 1.80 big and weigh 80kg Thanks already, Tristan

Using mobile phone as a navigator causes problems – camera defective
Hello to each other, that’s probably not a typical question, but maybe one or the other also has a problem with it. I use my mobile phone, like so many, as a Navi on a motorcycle in a bracket. I have encountered the problem since the beginning of the season that the constant vibration of the engine has probably solved and broken something in the camera unit and my mobile phone can no longer focus and how wildly vibrates and crunches (iPhone 11). The camera has thus become useless and according to Herstel lersupport is responsible for driving. Are there any others with this problem, no matter which cell phone brand, and if so, have you found a solution to the problem? Greetings and good driving Peter
