  • Berlin Motorbike Days (BMT)

The Berlin Motorradtage is the annual exhibition of the manufacturers in Berlin at the fairgrounds. I was there today and wanted to share my disappointment. Kawasaki was missing completely. Yamaha was only represented by a local dealer who has his shop a.A.d.W.. Although he had exhibited the new FZ1, one was not allowed to sit on it (different from others). Honda was also only represented by the local dealer. BMW was missing last year, this time they were with new adventure and everything else is new. Suzuki also presented everything. Of the outfitters only POLO was there with a limited program. LOUIS and Hein Gericke were missing. Stadler was there with a small program. It was noticeable that there was a lot of space for beer tables and a lot of exhibition space was not used. All in all, I got angry again that I invested 10 euros for the poor soul exhibition. A sales exhibition should actually be ko The provincial event did not live up to the capital’s claim.

  • Motorcycle to work

Hello I’ve been thinking for weeks about how I can best go to work with the motorcycle. I have to go to work every day around 15-16 km from the city now I’ve read a lot that it doesn’t do the engine well or the oil has to wake up more often than usual? I’m driving a BMW F 650 GS 48 ps still there are people who also go to work every day with a motorcycle? how do you do the work clothes, unfortunately I have to wear certain work clothes in the jacket is e s no problem that I can just put on over it but with the pants it will be difficult because I can’t change or it doesn’t want to watch me :/ How is it with the shoes you can also ride well with sports shoes or is that not recommended? I hope you can give me some tips. mfg Maruni

  • Technical question on main brake cylinders

Have a general question about the main brake cylinder. It’s about the front brake. What about the brake pressure in the brake line for bikes with 2 brake discs compared to just one brake disc? Is there the brake pressure that the cylinder generates higher, since 2 brake clamps have to be operated?, or is the stroke quantity, i.e. the cubic amount of the brake fluid more? The path of the brake lever and the force to be applied on the brake lever is almost the same. That would mean that it different main brake cylinders, e.g. with a R45 which you could order with one or two discs. Does anyone know about this? Greetings 0016

  • Can anyone call good jet helmets with sun visor inside? Don’t find the right one.

Hello, I don’t find the right helmet for me, look around for an open jet helmet with sun visor inside. That would be important to me because I ride with clear biker glasses, when the sun blinds, visor down and when it no longer blinds up again, I find practically like that. Sun visor outside to fold up is bullshit, wind catch, I don’t like, I don’t like. Was with Louis and tried everything that was there and what should I say, the couple that meet my criteria were A MTR helmet was there that would have gone, but the sun visor only slightly tinted, as good as clear, not quite meaning of the thing, that does my glasses, the visor should stop the sun. According to the Louis saleswoman there is no darker visor for it, so… Also on the Internet I was looking, have seen helmets from Marushin, which could possibly be something, someone experience with it? Have used a Scorpion Exo-100 so far, which would be ok to wear well, the right visor, but the ears are free and the wind noises from about 80 km/h become intolerable and even overtone the bollard of Harley. I want to feel wind, but not that it numbs my ears. I also experimented with foam pads on the ears, but that’s not all the true, rather damn annoying. The helmet is good if only for the city, or if you have a huge wind shield on the machine, but not for me, cruise mainly over country road And that ugly windshield doesn’t get me to the moped. Does anyone have any tips on what helmets I could try?

  • Motorcycle doesn’t start

Hello, my motorcycle doesn’t want to and doesn’t want to start properly. At first it was still running perfectly, but since recently almost nothing is going on anymore. It ignites, then has for the fraction of a second speed but it does not start. Sometimes the engine then runs, but as soon as I give gas it goes out immediately again. I give no gas it also gives up the mind. Yesterday I installed a new battery and new spark plugs. After the approx. 100th attempt it then started and I could even There’s nothing going on today. Even with a bridge cable, there’s nothing going on. Now I’ve put out the spark plugs and let them go. What else could I do? Thanks in advance 🙂

  • Yamaha Bolt XVS 950 – little slanting?

Hello, maybe you know Yamaha’s Bolt? that comes out in October with us and is n Harley Sportster clone (I would say ) With us the with ABS should come out, what I think great. I find it great from the optics. Now you always read that you get up with the footrests quite quickly with such parts. I can’t imagine who should be interested in such a bike then? I can’t even try it out, because I’m still doing the FS and besides s Abewr maybe someone from the Chopper/Sportster corner can say something about it? I like to go with my currently 50cc (swallow) right into the curve, and also with the riding school bike you can get yourself very nicely. That’s fun. So is so sone Bolt/Sportster completely wrong for me? And how do the people who care that it is not possible to get into it so well? Are they braking over the dimensions and then distracting more with the handlebars? I almost thought that I found (after test drive of course) some pretty hot favorites, what it should become after the driver’s license, I am now really surprised.

  • Mechanical engineering studies or two-wheel mechanics master

Hallöle , I just want to ask for your opinion: I am now 23 years old and have finished my school “career” (notes were not really the roarer) with the Abitur. After the high school I decided for a training as a ship mechanic, which ends in about 2 months. In theory and practice I was always well rated during the training. Slowly I have to decide what I want to do after the training. From the seafaring I have enough, was an interesting time and I have noticed that working with and on machines is simply the most amazing thing for me! So I realize that for me only technical professions can be considered where we come to my inner conflict: I want to learn a profession where I work on and with machines myself, want to get my hands dirty and have fun in my profession. I don’t want to keep presentations all the time and disappear in the office. In addition, a good payment is important to me (kl The perfect profession – I think at least – would be the profession of the two-wheel mechanic/master, as this unites my preferences and my hobby (screw myself a lot on my motorcycle, makes me really fun). However, I have to bear in mind that I do not deserve enough as a master myself to be financially really “free”. The other possibility would be the study of mechanical engineering. The description of the study sounds tempting, however, I fear that one can be and never has tools in hand. Subjects such as “Presentation Technology”, “Project Management” and dry mathematics create a stranglehold on me. Therefore I ask for your opinion – what do you think?

  • Reconstitute power reduction

If someone knows the exact procedure for dismantling a power reduction. I don’t mean the Mechanic, that’s quite clear to me. I just have to swap the camshaft for the originals and then get the brutal power of 43 hp. But how is the exact way to have the open power back in the papers, to then complete the corresponding insurance and register the part. At the moment the moped is deregistered, i.e. camshaft is installed and will drive to the TÜV. The registration and then drive with built-in “sharp” camshaft to the TÜV is probably illegal, since in this case only 27 hp is in the papers, but the part does indeed provide 43 hp. And besides that I would have to apply for a new policy again with the insurance. Installations and then only with the documents to the TÜV and a certificate will not go, too, or? Does someone have a tip ? Greetings 0016 Add another picture of my latest achievement (should be a Bobber)

  • New driving licence regulation(48 hp for beginners)

Hi @ all.., Is that true, that man now as a newcomer with 48 hp instead of the so far 36 hp can tukkker around? What if this should be true, if you have made the driver’s license before the regulation? Do you have to continue with 36 or you can also drive with 48 hp? Thank you Gruss

  • Are Airoh Cross Helmets really so insecure? Can you recommend me a Cross Helmet?

Hello dear Motor Talk Community, since after some time there is a new cross helmet for me and I would like to try out another manufacturer and I have not found anything in the net yet I would like to ask you for advice. At the moment I have an LS2 MX456, which also fits quite well, but I feel the controls of the cheek cushion pumps as something annoying, because I touch them easily with the mouth. My problem is that I have one, for most helmets, rather I have tried many helmets from different manufacturers, so far only LS2 helmets seem to fit me. I have looked around on the internet and the names of the brands Fly Racing and Airoh fell, the helmets are supposed to fit well with a long/oval head shape. Unfortunately I could not test Fly Racing, or Airoh helmets yet, because I have no dealer in my area who sells these brands. During my search i One of the panelists uploaded two pictures on which an Airoh stelt was shown, the chin part of which was completely broken. The splinters of the chin bar allegedly injured the wearer of the helmet’s carotid artery and all this in case of a low-speed fall. What do you think Airoh helmets are safe? Can you give me helmet manufacturer for my head shape Thank you so much for taking the time to read and help.
