  • Roadblock for motorcycles

Roadblock for motorcycles Hi Biker Already heard ? The “netten” people from our transport ministry want to actually lock some valley routes for us motorcyclists ! Reason : Too many traffic accidents of two bikes ! For example Lahntal (Gelbachtal) or also Baden-Baden (Bühlertal) ! Why the whole theater ? Quite simply, there are still some idiots who confuse the roads with a race track, they behave ruthlessly and endanger the fellow humans in the Str and those who drive decently must suffer from it !!! My question to you, how can one prevent the debacle and improve our reputation ? MFG Chrissi

  • Making driving license as cheap as possible / other federal state?

Howdy Biker, and that’s what I’m playing with the idea of making my motorcycle driver’s license (A2) this summer. Since the rags here in BaWü (Baden-Baden) are comparatively expensive, I’m currently looking for ways to buy it cheaper. What can you advise me about? In another federal state (bspw Berlin) it’s hard to get away from the law. How far can I get away from my residence to make the ticket, does someone know about it? Where in BaWü is it cheaper? I am currently living in Australia and in fact I no longer have a residence in Germany (but could move back to my parents after that). However, it looks like I am going to move to Brussels. Are there other options legally? Look forward to your answers Evan

  • Your opinions please! 🙂

Hello dear community, I would like to hear your opinion on a topic which has been busy for the whole time. I have been in possession of class A2 for 5 months now and drive a beautiful Honda CBF600 with ABS. I only have the A2 driver’s license and I don’t have to make a B class either. I feel confident when it comes to standing behind my decisions. Nevertheless, I hope to meet people here who might think the same way as me and The thing is that driving a car has never irritated me in my life and I strongly assume that it will never do so. I always wanted to ride a motorcycle, apart from the fact that I’m the one of the Sozius type who needs his rest while driving and doesn’t want to be annoyed by 3 riders, the bike ride has always been the most fun and gave me the strongest feeling of dynamism and freedom. I don’t understand the problem of the others. Example: I drive in storms and rains. Reaction: “You’re crazy!” or “If you had a car then it would be much more comfortable.” etc. I can accept the arguments of the others and understand them when it comes to dangers. But I personally think that, especially because I am aware of the dangers, I am all the safer in road traffic and also driving. I don’t understand the problem. Of course, riding a motorcycle at -6°C and snow is not as much fun as at 20°C and blue sky with sunshine. But that’s exactly what makes me so excited about it. I love the challenge of driving in bad weather and even if it makes me less “fun” as already mentioned, I don’t have less pleasure in it. I know it wi rd here maybe also give people who will tell me now: “Wait until you crash some time with the motorcycle! Then you will think quite differently.” But finally the exceptions always confirm the rule or not? But I hope here there are also people who accept my opinion and maybe even find it good. Thanks to all the members who have read this text. I look forward to your opinions or comments. Best regards, Jonycleo

  • Route recommendations Round trip incl. Prague

Just clicked through google maps for fun and made a round trip, to my surprise my female liked the idea quite well. That’s why I would like to take a few tips on good routes and also what you should look at if necessary. Roughly planned is the whole as 5 day tour with 2 nights in Prague for a “touri day”. So roughly: 1-Magdeburg-Prague 2-Prague 3-Prague-Munich 4-Munich-Frankfurt am Main 5-Frankfurt am Main – Mag deburg Where Munich and FFM would be flexible, rather only so that you have a good target. I chose the option “Avoid motorways” for maps, but the route planning is still as direct as possible and often via federal roads etc.. This may be changed if someone has good route sections ready. If the route is thereby blatantly lengthened you would have to shorten something out of the back, which would be no problem as said, because flexible. nt. Here the original route, can be edited and then linked again:http://goo.gl/maps/03Nv2

  • Boots for hot weather.

Hi guys, at the moment I have Daytona Touring Star GTX. I am also completely satisfied with these boots. Only and only for high temperatures I would like to buy some airier boots, or those without membrane (=GTX). On the feet it is sometimes quite warm, on which the boxer motor contributes a not insignificant proportion. Maybe someone has experiences and can give me tips, here times my “conditions”: -Full-quality motorcycle boots with Protek doors -No “short shape” -Nothing with shoelaces -No membrane! -No racing supersport boots with any outside plastic ratchet / joints. Brand and price are first relative, I am ready to pay for good material also accordingly. Greeting, Carsten

  • Buying advice for beginners

Hello together, I hope that I will post here in the right subforum. I wrote about my son’s account. My name is Otmar, I am from 1953 and now I make my motorcycle driver license. I am 1.90m tall. Of course I am already on the net looking for suitable motorcycles. Nevertheless I would be happy about some ideas. My first motorcycle should cost at least 3000€. And I must be able to throttle the machine on 48hp. I can give you the machines, which I have looked closer because I like them very much. (Here are also called more expensive now but then you get to know my taste): – Zephyr 750/1100 – Honda cb 750 – BMW R850(R) – Suzuki GSX 750 The search criteria are: everyday suitability, throttle must be possible, beginner motorcycle, inexpensive maintenance and robust machine I am eagerly looking forward to your opinions and ideas. Merry Christmas wishes Otmar

  • Find comfortable motorcycle that you can ride with 130+ without a visor

Dear colleagues, perhaps a strange requirement, but I just want to drive with an open visor to be able to sniff the nature, the flowers, the freshly mowed grass and the dung heaps. I made the motorcycle FS 2 years ago and have been driving a BMW F650GS ever since. Why? I don’t know – it turned out so – no deeper sense behind it. Probably it was the brand BMW, which was familiar to me (see signature) The part is not bad, but so grumpy and l Auds that BAB rides are a torture. And there is no windshield at all. From about 60 the visor has to be, otherwise the beasts fly into the face, which annoys me animally. So I want to change the motorcycle. I drove a “perfect” one day last year, namely the BMW K 1600 GTL, there were even 180 km/h with off. visor in it. Well, the 1600s is too heavy for me and especially vieeel too expensive. What else would there be for alternatives?I don’t want to drive: lawn or terrain. I want: quietness (that’s why 4 zyls would be an advantage; Harley etc. will probably leave, because too loud & too expensive), when 180 big people do not sit too low, suitcase and just a perfect wind protection. Performance would be enough about 80 hp, more than 100 hp would be exaggerated. Budget: about 10K, max 12K. What do you think about motorcycles? I’m open for everything. I was already at the Suzuki dealer who praised me for a 650 V electricity (?). The 2 cylinders still went, but the disc was a joke. ahrt was finished after 500 meters, when a fly flew into my eye. Thank you for your tips!

  • GoPro Hero2 Motorsports edition

I spontaneously decided to buy a “reasonable” HD video camera for my Allgäu tour the next Saturday because I want to film the tours to watch them and revel in nostalgia when I have become too old to ride a motorcycle. My choice was the above model. More precisely: This here:http://www.ebay.de/itm/300858377643?… I have no experience with these cameras. I want to attach the front to the disguise of my BMW K1100LT, so I see an M I don’t want to have that on my helmet. I have the following questions to the “specialists”: 1. Does this do what ? 2. How are the attached fastening parts ? Meaningful ? 3. Is the price in the purchase package in order ? 4. What do you need to do with it ? (32 GB SDHC – card I have) 5. Is there a better product (price performance) But I didn’t want to spend more than 250 euros, otherwise it goes to my holiday budget .

  • Motorcycle clothes in midsummer?

Hello municipality! Since we often ride with the scooter in summer in Spain (Ibiza) we are looking for good protective clothing which can be worn but also at 40°C without tipping from the scooter. That the best protection consists of full-heel combi + integral helmet is clear to me, for at 40°C times short to the beach this is simply impracticable. Jet helmets can be found here and there. But which motorcycle jackets can you recommend? Something with integrated kidney belt and back protector but NOT made of heavy leather – that’s where you break.
