  • Driving licence Intensive course

Hello dear biker community, I plan now to finally make my motorcycle ticket. For reasons of time (professional) I will probably take an intensive course and there would be my question, with which costs I have to reckon with during an intensive course in about? In addition, the course would interest me. To me, I am 20 years old and drive for 2 years, so will first drive 2 years. I used to drive Motocross (80 Kawa) and have already done a little bit I know about the technology. (of course not comparable to the big machines) As a motorcycle I have chosen a Yamaha R6. Look forward to your answers. With friendly greetings and always good ride! Steffen

  • first bike – need help

Good morning! I am currently doing my A unlimited. Now I know my driving school machine, a Kawa er6n, which I like very much. Aktull with driver’s license bonus approx. 6200 EUR I wanted to go to the travel enduro area. For years I found the BMW 800gs beautiful, but without having ever really sat on it. Now I sat on the Triumph Tiger 800 … and I fell in love … Price approx. 9100 EUR … Now I stand between the chairs. Should it be a new bike at all? How would you finance such bikes?

  • You’d rather go on a motorcycle or not?

Hi together I’m new to the forum and 16 years old. I’m riding a 50cc scooter for the second summer and screwing around, touring with friends and generally everything on the scooter makes me very much fun. The first summer I was already obsessed with it. I can imagine that riding a motorcycle would be at least as much fun and that the driver’s license would be worthwhile and so on. My problem, however, is that my mother tries compulsively, like in the scooter driver’s license, You can even hear phrases like, “If you really want to die when you’re 18,” or “If you’re severely disabled in the hospital, I won’t take care of you and send you to the home.” (Normally, it’s not like that at all, but it’s really funny on the subject). Is probably because my uncle had a serious accident many years ago and has been physically disabled since then. I find scooters are more dangerous than motorcycles. I have to decide in the next few weeks.. soon start with the car driver’s license and then I would make the 125 moped ticket with it. (This can be extended later). What do you think.. is it really so dangerous? Should I rather wait until I am older? After my mother’s standing talk, I am always quite unsure about the topic. r happy about answers! LG Splashy

  • Gear shift complicated?

Servus together! I decided now to make the A1 driver’s license a car license. I drive scooters with automatic transmission and can’t imagine switching it at all. At every crossing, traffic lights etc., I imagine myself to be absolutely stressful, so that I can’t really watch the car anymore. I imagine it’s just as complicated. This is actually the only thing that worries me.. Would be super w If you could give me some tips here. Another different question next door: I’m only 16 and ride a scooter as I said. For me, however, this light bike is not a means of transport but simply a hobby and a leisure activity. As far as I know, the motorcyclists also greet us in Bavaria. But with the scooter I was only greeted once and was overburdened in the situation, didn’t understand at all what was going on at the moment, I stopped and thought If someone greets you at my age from a plastic box, would you say hello back or do you think that I am out of place with it? On my next rides I will always greet every driver driving and test the reactions 🙂 Greetings Splashy

  • Find a suitable first_machine for me!

Hello together. I would like to start the days my moped certificate and join me on the search for a suitable 2wheel. Time to my person: Student, 23 years old, 173cm tall, 82kg heavy (mache Krafttraining :P) At the beginning of September I will be 24 years old and can drive from there without limitation. I want to start the driver’s license and take the test after the birthday, as far as I know, this is possible! I drive a 50s mokick with 4 gears and mastery e the basics for motorcycling. I also drove large machines, but not on public roads. As I study, I don’t want to have too big costs. For the purchase of the machine would be possible €2,000, however, this should already be ready for driving and have no defects. However, this would really be a limit. The annual insurance should also be at 100-200€, it can also be season-marks (March-October or?) I came across this thing here : Ya maha szr 660 cm It should be well suited for small drivers and the costs should not be too high. I would like to have a robust machine. this means that I don’t have to change small parts every month or anything else. Unfortunately, I have little idea about it myself. The machine should look sporty, cross or naked I personally don’t like! Would be very happy about a statement and fresh suggestions from you Beautiful Sunday, Pudzian!

  • TÜV expired, cancellation

Moin, I have a small problem. The TÜV of my motorcycle has expired 4 months. Now it is not worth putting the whole device into a TÜV worthy condition. I have now received a letter that I should pay 25€ and send a TÜV report within 1 week. Can I now push the thing into a garage, go to the registration office, log off and send the registration confirmation to the regulatory office? Would that have been assumed as soon as it is logged out and not t on public ground everything is okay. But the information I find so is partly somewhat contradictory. Greetings

  • Your Accidents

So people, due to the numerous discussions, around the topic “Motorcycling is too dangerous”, we want to create clarity here. With friendly support of “kawa-insteiger”, which came up with the idea, however, as user can not start a survey. Greeting Dominik

  • Interested in screwdriver courses in Upper Bavaria?

Hello to the round. Does someone happen to know if there are “screw courses” here in Upper Bavaria, where you can learn how to perform standard service work on two-wheelers yourself? I’m less concerned with completely disassembly of a motorcycle or scooter. Rather, I would like to learn the basics: – Gear/motor oil change – Change of brake pads – Change of belt, maintenance of variomatics and repair of converters/couplings on scooters – Extension of wheels for tyre change – Change the fork oil/seals – Check the steering head bearing and change – Basics of the suspension settings (springs/dampers) – possibly adjustment of the valve play – carburettor cleaning and adjustment with 2strokers – tyre change – spoke rims waiting – tips and tricks…. I have had the experience that many workshops have no interest in service if the vehicles were not bought there, or it is older vehicles (Zündapp, Kreidler, Hercules, Simson). I mean especially two-wheelers from China, Korea, Taiwan. Although the construction of the vehicles is often done with the same parts, especially with scooters (engines, spare parts etc.), many workshops prefer to offer their service for Japanese, French, German or Italian brands. The spare parts are available online for small money – therefore I would like to do some things myself in the future, and to do without the tough search for willing workshops. I would like to do something If a professional finds himself (perhaps retired), who passes on his knowledge. Screwing in community on weekends is certainly fun. You never learn. What do you think about it?

  • Legal LED bulbs now also for first motorcycles – Philips Ultinin Pro6000 – Osram Nightbreak

Since March 2023 Philips has been offering the Ultinon Pro6000 (currently only as H4) the probably first LED bulbs with e-approval also for a number of motorcycle models. Unfortunately, the model selection is not yet particularly large – but that will hopefully change. Unfortunately, my V-current is not yet listed. But maybe one or the other of you already finds something for his moped The current compatibility list can be found HERE. r Price should be at ~75€ for an LED H4 bulb So the motorcycle forum can now discuss clearly about the exchange on approved LED lamps in conjunction with the motorcycle models released for this purpose.Regards NoGolf MT-Team 的 ModerationSupplement: from page 5 in the thread also LED-H4 from Osram were added in the follow-up.

  • Your maximum mileage when buying a motorcycle? (750-1000er)

Hi, so far I have only been looking strictly for motorcycles with a maximum of 30,000km, but if I look at my own ZR-7 with 33,000km, I actually know that it ultimately only depends on the maintenance.. of course with higher mileage also the chance that the mopped would be broken. The question is kept very general, but what would be your maximum usable mileage personally when buying a used 1000er? From when do you have to with larger defects despite good Pfle mfG, Tim edit: a few examples of what I see in offers: Which of these motorcycles would you say no to from the front due to mileage?
