  • Fork too soft – preload ?

The fork springs are progressive (series) and the fork is correctly filled with new damper oil Rowe 5W20. Air chamber measured. Now, distance sleeves fell into my hands, which I expanded to progressive Promoto springs when converting another motorcycle, because they are longer. Spontaneously, the idea came to me to stretch the Transalp fork with these sleeves a little bit. Of course, not by 120 mm, so la ng are the sleeves, but they can be cut off. I then thought about 20 – 30 mm pretension. Opinions ?

  • Plastic welding of cladding

Meal the ladies and gentlemen, I would like to hear your experiences regarding the repair of cladding parts. It’s a matter of fact that I noticed on the front panel a crack at the transition to the lateral cladding on the PC37, which does not belong there at all. The two parts are connected with whole 3 screws, exactly at the bottom of the three the crack jumped into my eye and my good mood was spontaneously gone, in order to run briefly screaming in circles Is there a total of 2 cracks, which go away from the screw holder, 2 – 3 cm small and yet so big.. On the visible side mostly covered by the decor set, I am currently thinking about how best to deal with the topic. I will first solve the screws today to give the topic some relaxation, at the moment there is a pull on it. Are there practical ways (wehe, now something of armor tape 😛 ) to repair this? Thanks how crazy.

  • Remove burnt plastic from chrome?

Aloha. Don’t worry, I didn’t chrome-plated my big one. That’s really ned I’ve got an LS 650 Savage standing here and there was a textile pants unbeautiful contact to the exhaust. Result: Nice holes in the pants and black pampe on the exhaust. The bigger chunks almost jumped away by themselves but there’s still a lot left that doesn’t want to go away. So how do I get that wech? Nevr dull I tested but does not bring anything. What solves the plastic without attacking the exhaust? Greetings Maro

  • tiguan_fan goes Kawasaki

Hello my dear ones, since it is (has) some interested how and what has come out of me now, after my NOT indebted accident, I would like to report briefly Vorab, I was overlooked at a intersection of a fire truck and from that the whole situation arose here. At the time I drove a Honda CBR 600 F BJ 2006 without ABS, this belongs now to the Mr. Mopped collector and is in very good hands, which makes me more than happy, because it was my “baby” and just good In addition, I have the opportunity to see them a few more times Now to the actual news, I have driven some wheels test.. actually 2 the Kawasaki Z750 and the Honda CB1000. If I had not become a bit more money it would have become the Honda, since Honda is simply Honda give do themselves but nothing but a few more ccm. So I decided for the Kawasaki then nevertheless, nice toxic, even in the lowest speed range. And I must be s so far I do not regret the purchase and the decision. Well long speech, short meaning. In the appendix pictures, high gloss polished (so reasonably) look forward to the 6.9. the tour in Austria and also to the invitation to the flame / pizza tour from Stefan, thank you again Allen Have fun continue, kiss Picture 1Picture 2Picture 3Picture 4

  • Search Tourer / Sporttourer but he should be sociable

Hello forum. I had to sell my 900s disversion last year because of a bad illness, since I had made little hope of a re-seat, already alone because of the enormous weight of the Diva. Now all this has developed much better than suspected and I am back to buying a good machine. She should be, also with suitcase and topcase, to drive, and above all the Socius should have a good sitting position and the footrest back should not be t be so high attached that the knees are in the height of the ears. Just what for dignified tourers at a set age. The FJR of Yamaha is unfortunately too heavy for me, and a BMW too expensive, and as I heard quite expensive in the entertainment talking workshop costs. I’m looking for what about the 80 – 130 hp, no workshop technician, and not too heavy. With my size of 176 cm would be a sitting position around the 800mm OK. Please ask for information that will help me.

  • Motorcycle for older newcomers

Moin moin, I’m new here and I hope to ask my first questions in the right area. Short to me, I’m now 42 years young and would like to make the A-schein next year (better late than never 😉 or? ) Now I’m looking for a suitable kit and have set myself as a price limit so 3000-3500 € for a used motorcycle. Purpose of use: Just for Fun. Time after work, times before work a small 1-3 hour lap, on weekends a 1-2 day Au I don’t have a plan of motorcycles yet and therefore I went after the look and what is written in the wide world of the Internet. Visually, I like the Honda CB 750 Seven Fifty or Suzuki GSX 750. This is also the direction I imagined, so very comfortable and comfortable sitting position (I’m 1.90m tall at 95Kg) and also very moderate driving. What to do? the Honda is supposed to be a good choice. Are there any other alternatives? I’m not the big screwdriver now, not at all with motorbikes, because of lack of experience. Nobody wants to become so small things, but nothing wild. So, long text, but I hope I wrote the most important one and hope for you now. Thanks and greeting Sascha

  • Motorcycle purchase 1. and 2. residence Drosselung

So first of all I want to say no it’s not about the typical registration question has already informed me a lot! I am a student in Vienna have my first residence in Germany mainly because of my private insurance. I would like to buy a motorcycle and can then unfortunately only register it in Germany because I can only register it in Austria if there is my first residence there. It would then stand about in both countries the half of the year since I over the summer al I’m already 4 months in Germany. Now to my actual question/s: Since I allow the motorcycle in Germany no NOVA was due for me just wanted to ask again?! and much more important in Europe is since 2013 the regulation that a motorcycle has to be throttled the half of the original horsepower or less however makes there Germany as far as I have understood this correctly the exception?! So the question I can then buy a 100 or more horsepower motorcycle and then let it throttle and drive with it without any problems in Austria? So hope you can bring me a little bit of clarity again because I need it! Thank you already once in advance Mfg neoesi

  • Help to make a purchase decision for first moped

Moin, I’m new here in the forum and in general I don’t have any experience with forums, but I’m just trying: I’m still riding 125, but after the winter I want to do A2 and then I can buy a fat one. However, I have some problems with the purchase decision and ask for help. As a budget I have the highest so 4000 Euro. I have always been for a cbr 600 rr from pc 37, because it is often and cheaply to find. Of course, the coolest would be a completely new cbr 600 or ne new r6 or so but that falls away with the budget ^^. I wouldn’t have anything against a naked bike, but the problem is that you only get the older things for the money, where the back is always so ”fat” or the light so round ( old halt ). I find the new ones good, like e.g. the new cb 600 hornet or the yamaha mt-09 or ne Duke, but they are also too expensive.Have already thought about remodeling an old machine to ner art streetfighter (but without such an uplifted rear), but have Therefore super sportsmen, because the cbr 600 rr looks still relatively modern (in contrast to others in the old one ). The Yamaha r6 eig. also falls away, because one finds the new ( with the sharp heck, believe from rj11) only approx. from 5000-6000 euro. The r6 rj09 is also quite good, but also quite expensive and the fat, endlessly long exhaust I find very ugly. So I land again at ner cbr 600 rr. But the things are suitable as beginners and in addition still g (one 500 ccm out of the question) FREQUENCY ON YOUR MEETINGS AND COUNCIL DECISIONS 🙂 Thank you in advance, Sirlanzelord

  • Get back on it?

Hello guys! Had had had my last driving lesson today. At the “Generalprobe” today I laid down at the danger braking. So far it always worked well. But today I had the handbrake too soon. Now I am lying on the couch with a twisted leg and also do not know if something is broken. I only find out on Friday at the MRI. Now the test is postponed (should be tomorrow) and I ask myself if I am going to get back on the road again. n should or what it will be like at the next risk braking! Would I be happy about your opinion! Does anyone also have experience or idea if and how to be insured as a driving student? Thank you!

  • Hand protectors for non-enduros

Hand protectors help against cold fingers more than heated handles. However, it seems to exist only for Enduros. And these are very fitting. I once mounted SW-Motech on a 1000 Versys. Simple is different. Does someone have experiences/sources where you get something comparable (universal) for stinky normal naked bikes with tube handlebars and even once mounted? There are also these steering tulips, as they liked and have, which drove to the elephant meeting in snow are.
