  • Dangerous weekend

As you all know, the Easter holidays are on. The special thing is that for many people the season starts and the weather god even announces hope for improvement. So probably like every year for some bikers the biking will be over very quickly again. About injured and probably even dead bikers we will unfortunately be able to read again on Tuesday next week in the daily newspapers. What I want to say is: boys and girls, take care of yourselves and let it go quietly This is my wish for Easter. The left to greet and an accident-free season 2013 (also for the all-year-round drivers) 0016

  • Better lighting

Since I have often noticed that motorcycles are partly on the road with very funky headlights, I once got the Philips X-tremeVision and exchanged the for the built-in standard bulb. I think the result can be seen, see appendix (before/after). Also more intense when you look in.

  • Wintering

Moin people! I bought my first motorcycle a few weeks ago – a Kawasaki ER 5 Bj. 2001, 15tkm down – and just drove the first 500 km… the absolute hammer Now slowly comes but then the bad weather. And wet foliage then, together with tram tracks (way to the university), drives me the last desire to drive. Unfortunately I have no way to put my bike in the garage. In search of a suitable cover plan I find myself in the Moment in a confusion of VCI corrosion protection tarpaulins and outdoor tarpaulins again. How can I leave my bike outside for the entire winter without risking rust, damage or whatever?? Thank you in advance

  • A few impressions of the Intermot 2012

A tour of the Intermot is always an experience. You can touch almost everything that somehow has to do with motorcycles live on site. And Probes. I found very interesting e.g. the abrasion-resistant underwear, which, provided with protector pockets, should allow safe driving in the double-digit speed range without mopped clothes. See picture or the fold-up electric scooter, which should cost up to 120km/h fast and only 3.5k€. See picture. Mr. Hayabusa to t But what strikes me is that there is virtually nothing new about Yamaha and Suzuki. A little bit of model care or just new stickers. That’s very little. Suzuki in particular will lose market share. And they were once market leaders. Today it’s hard to imagine. Suzuki has completely overslept the current big enduro trend, only one study was there behind glass. That’s what actually was the DR750-Zeta posted here. The new CB1100 from Honda looks great, but is definitely not my moped. Putting on it had caused nothing at all with me. The Paningale, as already posted, is by far the most uncomfortable motorcycle ever for me. Can’t imagine to ride at all a meter apart from the race track. MZ also had a stand. They didn’t look that broke. Otherwise, I could not imagine to ride a meter at all. MZ also had a stand. electric was again the big trend. The number of “real” motorcycles with electric motor is increasing.

  • Start difficulties after winter

Hey guys. I’ve got a big problem! The first April is coming up and I don’t want to be a minute longer without my bike (this has a season mark) than I have to. I took on the task of mopping her out a week ago and getting her out of her hibernation. She was standing dry under a shelter (since December). Now I’ve tried to start her and there’s my problem. She doesn’t start! First I read what I’m doing. I have charged the battery, even if the starter spins as it should! It wasn’t and so I called at the motorcycle shop near me (they have at the moment 3 weeks advance, otherwise I wouldn’t have the problem now!). They said that if it smells like gasoline at the start, the carburetor is free (which in itself is a good thing, because it does!). The spark plugs are probably the problem then, it said! So I bought 4 new ones and changed them off (also tested if they spark; d as do they!). Now it still doesn’t start – I’m stunned! Fuel is in the tank (fresher), the battery is fully charged, the spark plugs are new, obviously it makes the gasoline in the engine – but it drove without I pushed it this year not yet a meter! I would love help endlessly, tips or ideas about what it could be (not such as “emergency switch on” or “stands not folded”, that I checked!). All those who help me!

  • How high can the maximum mileage be?

Hello, I would like to buy a GS 500 soon and am totally unsure how high the maximum mileage can be. Because I don’t know if 25,000 km are a lot for a motorcycle, because the engine is exposed to other loads compared to the car. The motorcycle, which I like to look at is built in 2001 and has about 25,000 km mileage. Already a thank you for the tips….

  • Who drives an oldie in everyday life

I have read in another thread that there are some old drivers here. I would like to know who uses his machine in everyday life or whether it is only a second motorcycle. Your experiences..larger repairs, Km stand. I say oldie now from 20j. upwards. Greeting Steffen
