  • New moped, too stupid for entries

Hello, have a new mopped since today, and have no desire for trouble with the men in green. So far I have been interested little because my old bike was simply uninteresting for the men. Now on this mopped are a few common modifications with which I do not want to have trouble. Unfortunately the seller referred me “only” to the E numbers – complete exhaust system (only part where I have a comologation certificate from the manufacturer= – Blinker – brake lever – handlebar ends mirror – short tail Since I know how the gentlemen tick relevant ticks, I want to be on the safe side and have “more” than a few E numbers. Besides, I don’t want to constantly drag ABEs along. So can I just go to the TÜV and say “add everything once” and they do this to me? What do I have to present? ABEs for every part? Are just the E numbers enough for e.g. turn signals and mirrors? For the exhaust system I have “only” the homologation certificate, no ABE or ears Is that enough? Would you be happy if you could help me here with some clarity.

  • Insecure feeling in slanting position

Hello together, this is my first post here, I’m looking forward to your answers. I’m 19 years old and have been riding motorcycle, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 on Michelin Pilot Power 2CT for about one and half months. I’ve quickly lost my fear of deep slanting and after a few rides also sanded the footrests. As fast as I had overcome the fear, I also won the respect again and since then I can’t drive so weird anymore… Although still with estimate 43°/44°, more but also not and rather rarely. I had the feeling of the tires not lifting and that it slips away every second, although I know exactly the tire can do more, because I often forced it to work more (press it down by additional push, or speed up more gas when out), the fear is still there. So I decided what I was going to attend a slanting training anyway, I already knew a lot and I learned a lot. I had 0 problems, 0 fear or any concerns and also easily drove the 52° slanting position and deflowered my knee grinders. Eye guide and everything was top, was also well praised for my way of driving. Fairly enough I have to say that support wheels were mounted, but I just had a better, safer feeling in the tire and could drive much more precisely. So I got back on the moped today (yesterday was the training) and the fear and the bad/unsi I really don’t know what’s going on, my tire of the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT, is what many have told me very well, but I have often read that it starts to lubricate quickly from temperatures of +30° C. but everything in the green area so that it starts again. In the training, however, we were taught that almost every road tyre stands out at temperatures from 10° C, even on wet roads and rarely starts to lubricate. do you think, is there just a blockage in there with me, or could it really be on the tire? I should check the tyre pressure by the way ;P I don’t get too much stress about driving on the edge and getting scared away. You should always move within your own limit and I want to learn all this clean and safe, but I just have a fucking handling feeling and weird driving you should already be able to if it’s the emergency situation erzwin gt. Thanks for your answers already and a safe ride on all sides!

  • A2 instead of A – meaningful in my case?

Hello together I (34) just make the motorcycle driver’s license. Since I am very brain-dead, I had some difficulties – whereby my driving instructor says I would not drive more unsafe or clumsy than other novices, everything so solid. Within four double hours I put the machine down twice (once I wanted to drive in the wrong gear, feet up too fast, zacked off and fell over), the second time I took the slow slalom to After that I was totally blocked, although everything worked solidly. He then suggested to give me the smaller machine. There I come with both feet completely to the ground and have no more fears about starting up and strangling. As if a switch had changed, it was just fun, I would not like to drive with the other one at all. With the lighter one the focus is further down, the me He said, of course, I have the opportunity to make the A2 appearance only. I actually have some inhibitions with the big machine because of the weight and the insecure standing. On the other hand, this is just a head thing and I’m probably standing in the way of myself. The motorcycle I want to drive afterwards (Sportster, Iron 883), I would then have to throttle. Wouldn’t be a problem in itself, since I don’t want to drive a bigger motorcycle anyway. However, it’s just as hard as wi e the motorcycle in the driving school – with the Iron, however, I get completely to the ground with both feet and the focus is also quite far down. It is overall also narrower etc. So far I was only on the practice site. What do you mean? I talk about it again in detail with my driving instructor. LG

  • Accident caused by new tyres

Hello MT – Stammtisch on given occasion I would like to point out the risk of accident with new tyres. The release agent that makes the tires jump out of the shape is differently slippery depending on the brand. For this reason you have to be careful about the first kilometers and increase both the acceleration and the slanting clearance slowly. Especially the first meters can be hell! Please take care – especially if the start of the season is also due Alex

  • In the middle of 50 – too old for the motorcycle license?

Hello, first of all I would like to apologize that the topic does not fit directly into this forum “biker meeting”. But I unfortunately did not find a more suitable forum such as: “Motorrad allgemein” or “beginner”. Now to me. I am 55, I have just done the “second spring” and may still do a few things before the age circle catch up with me. Since my youth, riding a motorcycle turns me on. However, I never had the time, money, possibility or courage to do that. h especially always the Ralley Paris-Dakar and my dream motorcycle would be an old BMW from this time. Could then be an R80 GS if the Internet doesn’t lie. Now I wonder: Am I too old to start with? Would such a machine be suitable? I’m not interested in driving fast but rather I’m looking forward to comfortable tours over the Alps (live in Munich). Yes, the machine is certainly not a touring machine, but I think the design is great and I like the 80s. Thanks and greetings, Jürgen

  • What is the “real” PS quantity for us

Hello, barely escaped the midlife crisis, my wife and I still want to deal with the subject of mopped. We both want to do the A-Schein in addition to our class 3-FS available since 1985. Since we both didn’t even have a mofa before, we ask ourselves what would be the right machine for us (it’s supposed to be 2 already – not a compromise machine that fits both of us). We are both no pushers, don’t want to set speed records in the Odenwald I am 183 cm / 81 kg and my sweets 163 cm / 58 kg tall/heavy. We don’t plan to buy something new every season. So it should be something that – long-term satisfying – durable – low maintenance – is not undermotorized but still manageable – chic and yet no blender. We like things like Triumph Rocket III (but probably too much horsepower), BMW F800 etc. So, as a beginner you can certainly manage something between 80 and 100 HP Is it absolutely not recommended to do so? • Head/Neck pain after driving hours

Hi, short context: I started an express course for the big motorcycle ticket last Wednesday. In 10 days you are through. In these 10 days, you drive two times a day each 90 minutes. Bike: initially Kawa z125. Now Kawa z650. I have extreme neck and headaches that don’t get better. My last hour was Friday afternoon. Now it’s Saturday evening/night and I feel like riding. Head and neck pain extreme. Legs are totally broken and generally feel i I expected it to be exhausting, but I don’t realize that the symptoms are fading. In summary, all the control lights are on with me and blink hahah. My question would be whether the “normal” is and if the body has to get used to the whole thing, etc. Thank you

  • Installation costs Main stand + fall bar in contract workshop really so expensive?

Hello, my colleague of mine will soon buy a new bike (I think ne Versys 650 from Kawasaki), I’m still looking for it. He still wanted main stands and fall bars (original parts) on which he got a discount. However, the assembly of the two parts in the workshop costs just under 180€. Is this a normal price? Neither he nor I know us with screwdriving, but I looked at the assembly instructions and that should be right for a workshop be done quickly, right? Thank you in advance!

  • Eco-friendly even without an e-bike

Vllt. is that for some a frequent driver here interesting. When surfing in the I-net I happened to stumble over the http://m.motorradonline.de/…/200187. Different cars with LPG I have been driving for about 9 years and am completely satisfied. That there is such an offer also for motorcycles – only logically for injectors – was not known to me. The installation costs – if the information in the article is correct – I find for a two wheel actually very high. For the money gets m I could not find any data about the tank size and the range/consumption, but at any rate this is a cheaper alternative to being a relatively expensive e-bike. In addition, you are not necessarily bound to the manufacturer and you can still hear what you are driving. In addition, you have a fuel reserve in petrol station-free or on strike areas.

  • Oil pan broken to drain screw – crack in thread

Hello, I recently wanted to make an oil change on my newly acquired (used) Yahama YZ125 2002. When turning out the oil drain screw, the thread of the oil tank came out with (rotation direction was the right one, which would probably already be slightly stained) – “OK, no problem, bigger thread in”. When screwing the now M14 (previously M12) screw the housing is torn (see pictures). Probably the thread cutter was no longer there. My question: What do I do now. As you can see in the picture, it is not possible to get this close. A eue tub costs a good 1000€, because the machine was needed is not worth it. I am very grateful for advice of all kinds. PS: Is my first post here, I hope I did everything right, if not with the criticism – topic I have so little n found suitable. Most handle only defective threads. Thank you!
