  • 6 questions about the motorcycle

Hello dear forum, I have passed my A driver’s license for 2 days and have ordered the Yamaha YZF R6 today for 11800 euros, which is there in 2 weeks with my dealers. I have a few questions now, since I am still a beginner in motorcycle matters. 1. If I buy a motorcycle for so much money, do you think I should rent a garage in my area? Especially in winter and if it is hailing / raining heavily and other extreme weather conditions occur, it would be But it’s a pity if the machine should somehow get hurt, if it’s always outside or if you don’t care? Can you just leave it outside and just pull over such a protection already? – since many drivers leave their expensive cars outside? 2. During the driving hours motorcycle jacket, boots, pants and gloves are always mandatory, but now that I have the driver’s license only the helmet is mandatory and I can be quite normal in the summer with T- shirt and short pants drive around the area or? Stop at your own risk, but in the city I drive only 50 kmh anyway. 3. If I want to clean my Yamaha, can I wet it like with a car with a water hose or? Or should I notice something that at some points no water should come in? 4. For insurance it is best to do it from May to October or? Since I don’t want to drive on cold days. 5. Do all motorcycles super? M is it a difference / does it harm the motorcycle if I refuel once super and the next time super plus? What do you recommend to refuel and why? 6. Which other liquids besides gasoline does the motorcycle still need and how often do I have to refill them? Thank you in advance!

  • Soon driver’s license, beginner’s questions?

Hi people. I’m Christoph and 27 years old and new here 🙂 Since I have unfortunately from my circle of friends I have to let something help me here. If everything runs smoothly I will have the appearance in about 8 weeks. Now I wanted to inquire for a beginner which motorcycle is suitable? If I want it still 3-4 driving how much KM should it have? have no idea how long such a bike rides ^^ Will it always be only 6 months or so and at work I have to go back and forth together I would like a GSX-R or a Ninja……but is it too big for the beginning? too fast? I have never sat on such a one before.

  • Do you need to rewrite your driver’s license?

Hello dear people, I made my motorcycle driver’s license (at that time 1a) in 1995 and never had it rewritten to class 1 (now class A, I think). I still had the pink rag and not the new one in the check card format. In the past it was possible to register the class 1 after 2 years. As it is today, however, I could not clearly get to know via Google. Does anyone know if I can open motorcycles with the old (pink) driver’s license? / Roller > 27 PS can already drive or do I have to get a new, small driver’s license? Or is that maybe not so easy nowadays? I have no plan… I am grateful for every info. Already thank you in advance, Ingo

  • Motorcycle trailer bottom too smooth

Hello together who has got me a tip for the following problem. If I get my motorbikes out of the trailer, then a slide is required. The screen printing plates are so smooth that the mopeds slide down from the trailer even when the front brake is pulled, until now it has gone well every time, but it is a hell of a feeling to conduct such a motorcycle backwards without being able to brake until the rear wheel comes to the asphalt. How can I coat the floor plates so that the Is there any material for spraying, brushing or something else?

  • 125cc or more? (maintenance costs)

Hello! I will be 18 in a few months and have been driving a 50cc scooter for 5,000 kilometers. Have my car driver’s license in my pocket and let myself be persuaded above all by relatives to leave the motorcycle driver’s license away. I itch the motorcycle riding extremely and envy every biker who overtakes me and my scooter on a beautiful summer day. My first question to you would be, is worth with just under 18 still the A1 driver’s license? My driving instructor has said that the price of the A2 will only be but he said that the A1 is much easier (why?). Suppose I make the A2, then I want a bigger bike of course! Since I really like the super athletes like Yamaha YZF and am only about 1.70 big, my selection is limited (Can I forget about Enduros with my size?). The A1 machines cost hardly more in maintenance than my scooter but what does it look like with a bigger one? Suppose 300-600cm with 30-40 hp? Apart from that, wants to If I get a bigger one than a 125cc? At the Yamaha YZF R125 I only touch the ground with the football. (seat height approx. 83cm) Is this an obstacle? This is also the case with my scooter, but I always put one foot on the footboard and put the weight slightly on the other side around the ground completely. Is this also possible with a motorcycle? Would I be very pleased with your answers! LG Baye rnRider

  • Which machine for the narrow purse ?!

Good evening together ! Now I hope that in three weeks I will get the exam well and I get the appearance But now I ask myself the question… Which machine… ?! Actually I have two favourites. Either a Honda CBF 600 or 1000 – on which I have also learned. It should be especially ideal for beginners. I have read in many forums actually only positive. Or a Honda Shadow Black Spirit. Has also a few negative peculiarities, but find it visually fac h TOP 😛 – I don’t care about the high weight ^^ Unfortunately, they are price-leak (used between 3,000 – 5,000) above my budget to be able to afford them in close time….. My question now, what would you recommend…. so for the somewhat narrower wallet ^^ I’m actually open to everything. Only a crosser should it not be exactly thanks already once!

  • Purchase advice: Cruiser for newcomer

Hello together I just Googled a little bit and am getting into this forum 🙂 I have been driving a car since 2006 and I decided last week to add a motorcycle to my bike. The learning driving pass is already ordered and will probably get it this week. Now it’s of course about which motorcycle it should be and I hope you can help me 😉 In any case it should be a cruiser (o.a., chopper is cool but the fork is cool for me I have read here many times, it is more difficult to learn how to drive with the thing, but then it takes a lot of practice, that’s okay. Important for me are the following points: I like the following cruisers from the optics already quite well (but I only looked at pictures on Google): Hope you can get a picture of what I look like in a search. More like something wider with wide wheels etc. To the info: I am male, 1.82 I was sitting on the Suzuki M800 intruder the other day at a dealer’s shop, I felt very good. The dealer then showed me various Honda Shadows, but from the beginning he said, “No, you’re too big and ‘powerful’, on such a part you’re going under,” and that’s where I agree. They were really too small, I felt like on a better moped. I have no idea how and where to find a suitable motorcycle as a complete beginner 🙂 If you know good Hänlder in the canton of Zurich: always get it! I’m looking forward to your tips and suggestions! Cheers

  • Super sportsmen in everyday life

Good evening, municipality, The search did not give satisfactory answers, which is why I am so free and create a new topic. The following situation: I have been riding a motorcycle since April, started on an ER6n. Since I am still under 25, I have to drive this with 34hp restriction (live in Switzerland). Now I have to admit that my Kawa doesn’t appeal to me very much anymore, since she lets herself ride quite playfully and I can’t continue on her as a driver. It is certainly still fun, but I feel like something new. Accordingly, I plan to use the rest of the “summer” to try out the most different types of motorbikes, brands and models and then to get a new one at the beginning of the next season. How does this relate to the subject of the topic? Recently, super athletes fascinate me, both in terms of appearance and performance. But now I also know that s I will test the performance and comfort of my own when I travel a few kilometers on the CBR 600RR. My question to you: Does someone go to and from work on a super sportsman every day in the forum? Does it make sense for such routes, because you can’t really get excited about the speed spectrum and would drive low-touring… My driving profile: Every day about 40 km, 20 of them overland and 20 city In the weekends, you’ll be happy to have a few passes, and in the spring and summer you’ll be on holiday. Maybe you’ll have some tips on which motorcycles from the super sports sector could fit these requirements.

  • Extreme construction sites

Hello forum! The title says it already. In our area there are currently as many construction sites as I have never experienced before. Maybe I was not so sensitive to this before without a motorcycle. But it is less about the number, but about the consequences due to quite thorough measures. Last autumn I read at least that the route between Langelsheim and Lautenthal, the L 515 (http://maps.google.de/maps?…), should be completely closed. In particular, the residents had to drive some forty to fifty km long detours through the Harz(!) against it. On the other hand, protest rose, so that the lock was carried out only half-way. Today, there is still a lack of marking, which is why speed 50 is required – at least on the part that I often drive. Groß Döhren is said to have been cut off from the environment for weeks. The village passage is blocked, and the village is only accessible by a road (Sackgasse). Di e B 82 has been completely closed since yesterday between Rhueden (always a motorway junction) and the connection to the B 248. However, there are very attractive bypass routes for motorcycles. As if this were not enough, the K 38 at Altenau is completely closed because of filming for a movie with Clooney on the viaduct at the Whitsun weekend. The restaurateurs are fully enthusiastic! Are such conditions only common with us or everywhere in the Federal territory? After all, I can’t do without it. And I’m driving my bike mainly for fun, because a construction site that I can ride around doesn’t really affect me. Happy birthday! Ramses297.

  • 125

Bon Dia! Just back from Cap Creus. With an average consumption of 2.66 liters on 100, for the 800 km. When looking through the Fred’s on MT I notice the following: -No one throws with sticks after 125ern -even Kawa Dirk comes around the curve – In the Gorges de Galamus you pass the oncoming traffic – where a big tourer needs either a reverse gear or must be ready to fight with the bus driver, who absolutely does not want to reset – big bikes to cut off. Although it’s only mountain down, it’s all the more fun and raises the self-esteem – In Bugarach, stronghold of the aliens, we all hurt the ass, but the big-bike drivers did it so much…
