  • Tyre recommendation sought

First of all a good new year together ! I will take over my first Harley in spring 2019: V-Rod Screaming Eagle CVO, EZ 2006. 5,800 km mileage (proof), My future father-in-law had bought the 2006 used with 5,000km, the 800km mileage in the last 12 years came by the mechanic who brought the machine for the service and the TÜV on his own axle. Now I should take over the machine so that it is moved, you say of course no cht No Unfortunately the first (!) tyres are still mounted… they still have enough profile, but with 12 years old flaps I don’t want to drive around. Well the: I need new tyres for front and rear in sizes: 120/70ZR19 & 240/40R18 Now the question arises about the manufacturer and type… Can you recommend that to me? Running performance will be about 4,000-5,000 / year. Driving profile: rather comfortable tourer, definitely no heater or curve robber

  • Primary chain goes wrong Evo

Hello in advance already many thanks for the always helpful answers. I’m a little embarrassed by now but I can’t get any further and hope you can help. It’s still about the new construction of my 87 Softail Evo. Today I wanted to put the primary drive back together again. I noticed after the installation that the primary chain has almost 1cm offset runs wrong. When I measure at the crankshaft side (from sealing surface primary lid to chain link) 2.4 cm when I measure 1.5 cm at the clutch basket. I could now put up further distance pieces at the crankshaft side but then it becomes already a bit tight with the support surface (toggle) of the driver. I have the feeling that something is not right. You can see that the chain has gone wrong for a long time since the holder of the tensioner has already entered a little through the chain.

  • Problems with a 94 he Heritage Softail

Moin. I have a problem with my softail The moped is built in 1994 with a Harley original carburetor. Original condition not rebuilt. It is a 1338 cm motor inside. The moped runs restlessly in the standing gas and smells of fuel.. The spark plugs are black condemned. From time to time there is a misignition from the carburetor. A potato potato run is not to get there. So far the following parts have been renewed: Manifold gasket gasifiers plug spark plugs spark cable Vdos controli I found the following. Carburettor membrane accelerator pump Ignition sparks Elektronik Ignition lock possible wackler rectifier measured spark plug electrodes distance is cleaned to 1 mm carburettor ultrasonic bath. Tank ventilation All io gas acceptance is great.. Without stuttering only constant speed is not possible at slow drive. The box humps like sow. So slowly I am with my Latin at the end and hope that one of the specialists here will give me a tip or advice. Thank you very much already in advance for your efforts Best Greeting

  • A few pictures of camshaft exchange (SE255er) on my 2013 Road King

Hello together, until now my project camshaft exchange (255) is quite relaxed! I installed the reinforced SE camshaft needle bearings yesterday evening using US-imported special tool. – If someone from northern Germany (area Bremen/Oldenburg) wants to borrow the tool, just report! LG Nico

  • “reasonable” baggage solution for breakout 2014

Hello together, I’m looking for a “reasonable” luggage solution for my future beauty….. I’ve had the dream of my own bike since I took my driver’s license (it’s been a couple of years now), March/April 2014 the dream will come true (as FXSB in Amber Whiskey)! My previous planning foresees that I will pick up my baby and probably family and garage will not see us for at least 3 days…. …details are not yet available ! Of course, I have to take my luggage with me! But I don’t really want to transport everything on my back! Sissybar and/or saddlebags/cases fall out for me too!! Do not fit me or the bike -> my opinion. Now I’m looking for ideas! They fit the bike on the one hand, well and a little bit to me…that’s why the “reasonable” in goosebones, because it can just mean something different for everyone… …the breakout is still very new, if someone there s chon has realized something, I would be very happy about meaningful pictures… …please always come here with ideas, inspirations, “drinkings, gimmicks LG

  • Perfect Harley cover for winter

Hello together, I just made my bike winterproof and was among other things looking for a cover. The original harley covers are not exactly cheap and not particularly friendly to paint. I discovered on ebay one the Sattler Herold. This apart from custom leather pockets for your Harley also designs custom made covers for your machine. I had one made for my Road KIng. The meterial is stretchable, high quality, washable and very friendly to the Lack, to match exactly and for 77.- € almost a bargain. At the link to the shop – best send email and directly request: http://stores.ebay.de/…/_i.html?…
