I bought a 883 Sportster 2005 and would like to change the exhaust. There is the one from Screaming Eagle with the Harley inscription and the one with the Schreming Eagle II inscription. Is there a difference in the sound or is there the difference in the performance? Does one know perhaps a sound alternative to these exhausts? Do I also have to change the carburettor and air filter when I use this SE? Thank you for your tips. I have only been proud owner of a Harley for a week and have Petra. Your tips are important to me because my dealer only thinks of his wallet at the consultation!

mild soap water
Hello guys! I have a lot of polished aluminum parts on my Harley. All manufacturers of polished billet parts recommend a motorcycle wash only with “mild soap water” and subsequent wax seal. Now to the question: What is mild soap water? Mine the narmal detergent with it? I guess it has to be free of possibly aggresive additives. What is best to take? LG Max

Problems with starters
Hello together, have a 2006 Fat Boy with Twin Cam 88 engine. I installed the charged battery and wanted to start the engine. The engine didn’t start or the starter didn’t spin. I then connected the car battery with starter cable. The starter now went very slowly, but the engine didn’t start anyway. Shortly afterwards I saw some smoke rising from below. I then stopped immediately. The cables on the battery were quite warm. I suspect that the smoke from the battery Does anyone know this problem or does anyone know what’s broken?? Greetings Charly

Which print media do you read?
Hello @Harley-Gemeinde, mal ́ne Fragen für die Zeit, die man nicht auf dem Mopped oder in der Garage verstellt: What do you read about the topic “Zweirad”? Since I am often on the road with the DB (“Die Bahn kommt!” ), I always scan the kiosks for reading material to the pastime. While there is actually a quite large and wide selection to my hobby Porsche and Oldtimer, I have not yet really found it in the motorcycle magazines. I don’t know about motorcycle trips, about “Extreme-Pimp-My-Ride”, or the cross-section of the topic is so wide that the interesting contributions make up only a fraction…. I remember a sheet that I found 15 years ago quite entertaining (though not always quite at the height of the subject): “Mopped” was called this, but it has probably disappeared in the meantime. What would you think a good magazine with a focus on technology? Thank you already in advance and many greetings. Karsten

Harley Davidson Night Rod Special turn signal switch without function
Hello together, I have the following problem and indeed after my handlebar conversion the left turn signal does not work anymore … if I turn off the ignition makes the motorcycle think such a safety check for the alarm system by all four turn signal light … they do with me also. Right turn signal switch and the turn signal blink, But if I act on the left there garnix. Wiring I think I must be right, otherwise if ignition from yes not all 4 turn signal flashes would blink n. Can someone give me a tip on what it might be or what I could look at? Would I be happy about an answer

Battery, every year.
Sorry, I think the topic comes back on the table every year. So, battery expand and then, I then charged the battery so every 4 weeks and then disconnected again. Now I have read in the instruction of my old charger (SAITO ProCharger battery charger), you can leave the battery connected. Long story short, what is “better” for the not exactly cost-effective batteries?

Big Dog driver sought……
Moin Forum, I’ve fulfilled my little dream and bought me a big dog “Pit Bull ” 2 months ago. The moped is built in 2003 and has the ” small S&S engine with 107 cui. Small sounds already somehow sweet when you think that the moped has according to performance diagram 109 Ps from 1800 cc. I would have been terressed once if there were even more Big Dog or Iron Horse riders and would have liked to share experience. So biker, report and tell you what you have for experience and expect a and have your mopeds.

Powerbooster as charger
Every year I have to expand and charge the battery in the spring, because I have no electricity in the garage. I once got a powerful Powerbooster 1800 Ah as a starting aid for the car. Question: Can I just clamp it to the mopper battery for a few hours? Would the booster charge the battery then? That would be ideal, because I could then also make a stopover in the winter. Has anyone ever done this before? Ride On Jörg
