Lifetime brake linings
Hello together, someone can tell me how much lining (in mm) is on new brake pads (Road King). I just have the rear wheel outside and want to estimate how long my linings will last about. Maybe someone also knows how long new linings should hold about. Thanks and greeting D.Mon

Align rear wheel 200/55 Slim S
The fact is that the theory is completely abstrus and therefore I do not start the practice. 1. Contradiction: Theoretically the rear wheel stands from above at 06:05 clock (hour hand), thus too far left, good to see at the fender. Practically, however, the timing belt still has space/distance to the inner pulley edge. 2. Contradiction The axle alignment, belt tension screw looks out to the right some threaded passages more forward than left. Thus, the wheel should stand more at 05:55 clock. 3. Contradiction h The tire is almost on the belt, what would mean that I could not straighten it further to the right in the rear anyway and thus slightly to the left in the front. One fact is contradicted by the logic, each one against the other. Can it therefore be that the Kpl. wheel on the axle is too far left, but otherwise totally straight in the track?

Questions about my Harley davidson FXST
Hello, I bought a Harley this year because of an “accident” of my vl 800 suzuki. And now I have to search in here and ask a lot of “dirty” questions, but now you think that some can help me here for sure. Short data Harley davidson FXST First registration 5.1989 The first question is: If I had the goat standing a little longer and then it starts and then let it run and give it some gas in idle, have I always have a relatively large oil stain on the ground on the right, is this normal with this model( a kind of “ventilation” so it has been explained to me, or is it bullshit) photos are in the appendix. Or should I go further on the ground? The black hose goes directly to the motor Second question: I now have a floating disc brakes on the back, which is now so far down that it only clatters while driving, now the question you would install another floating od it is a rigid, in addition to that in the disc also the sensor / magnet for the speed / tacho has been inserted, has the “hole” itself been drilled (which I doubt about the hardness of a brake disc, but you never know ) or are there extra disc brakes that have already made this already? I would also have found a brake disc where I think it could fit, I don’t know if I can link the page here ? I just do it now This brake disc Vielle The third question is My hand brake cylinder is leaking and loses brake fluid which has now nicely “burned” on the white tank I hope I get it polished out. But now the question through all the conversions with steel flex lines and the two disc brakes front etc I am unsure what to buy there for a hand brake cylinder whether there are also any special features there. Yes, I can also in look at the vehicle license, but I have to confess there I won’t be quite smart out of it. I thank you already once in advance for the answers and hope that one or the other has something to pity on the questions:P Greetings

Trouble with Jekill & Hyde Klappennauspuff. Who else??
Annoyance with Jekill & Hyde Klappennauspuff. Who else?? Have mounted a Jekill & Hyde Klappennauspuff system on my Fatboy Bj 1995 about 3 years ago, mileage about 15 T km. After the last exit the flaps could not be switched any more, when I wanted to look, the turning roller fell already on the yard. Installation dismantled, after useless phone call with Jekill & Hyde, the system to send in to the friendly. Answer by Jekill & Hyde: The one pot would be reparated on guarantee. The 2nd pot is not a guarantee and costs 450,-€. For me it is incomprehensible that the same mistake is a pot on guarantee and the 2nd is to be paid. In my view, the construction of the pulley is questionable. The connection „fold to pulley is held only by a 4mm pulley (permanent heat expansion) no side guide when flipping, as inclusion of the pulley has a lot of play. The 4mm pulley is welded with the pulley pulley. e secured from twisting (for eternity) but on the other hand the 4mm thread should hold everything, result: It rips out, and cannot be dismantled anymore. I can’t imagine that I am the only one in which this error has occurred, maybe one of you has had this problem before? See pictures of pulleys and pots. Looking forward to your answers. Greeting Jerry09

Evo engine start at cold temperatures
Hello forum, I have finally allowed my softail and I have already driven this one or another time. Only this morning I just did not get the love in gear. The Harley is in our garage, which is not heated, so it was really cold tonight. about 6 degrees it was. This morning I then turned up the gas tap, Choke out, Neutral and three times pumped on the gas tap. Starter pressed and the machine rolled. There was a occasionally blubbering, so the I didn’t get it. Since I didn’t want to break anything (my first start of a carburetor engine at low temperatures) I took the car. Now my questions, which still concern me and I want to understand. I tried to give the engine a gentle gas at the start, when I heard the bubbling of the engine. The machine did not manage to start. So I tried to start again. There were only starter noises, so again pumped on the gas. Again easy blubbering but no start. The whole then 2-3 times. What can I have screwed up at worst? Spark plugs are wet from petrol? If I am home tomorrow noon, try to start directly again or check something? As far as I have read the mixture is simply too lean at cold temperatures, therefore also Choke. I do the pump anyway to have some fuel for the combustion, is The last rides were starting and driving no problem only today where it was much cooler than usual. Therefore, I think the problem is there, right?

Purchase advice Heritage Softail
Hello, will separate me from my e-glide and switch to a Softail Heritage. So far only Sporty, Dyna and E-Glide have driven. I don’t know about the softails. Should a used one be from 2012 onwards, with the 103 engine. Is there something to pay particular attention to? Has something fundamental changed between the year 2012-2016? Thanks already in advance.

Handlebars broken (through) … why ? Were there already other cases ?
Hello, I was yesterday at the Harley dealer in Leipzig to get me new rubber bearings for the Reisers for my 2006 CVO-E-Glide, because actually it would be because my handlebars could move too much back and forth, but after they had taken off the ignition lock and the lining underneath, it turned out, however, that my handlebar broke completely between the Reisers (see photo), someone has already heard of one (or several) comparable cases ? In any case, the dealer’s employee claims that this is an isolated case and I have no chance to get help from Harley, the estimate with a new handlebar for 234.00 Euro and at least 6 hrs. a 80.00 Euro at any rate a huge hole in my budget for the motorcycle for this year, can someone give me a hint, whether and how I can get support from Harley, is probably already a bit strange the whole thing or ? In any case I had with my r Dicken since the beginning of 2008 (I used to buy it with 10 Tkm at the dealer in Kiel and have now only 53 Tkm on the clock) no accident and my cart never fell down, so how can it be that such a handlebar just breaks through? Greeting Gero

Genscher broken
No stress, bolt broken. First glued and good. If it does not hold, I may tear off the glued mark and release the intact screw of the angle insert to obtain replacement for the broken one above the wheel hub.

I don’t have a BOCK MORE .. THE week the part comes to the dealer … either he gets it, or I buy a road king again … or .. even better ne BMW .. has someone similar probs …or even better ..ne SOLUTION?? lg klaus
