  • Night Rod from England

Hello, I just imported a Harley from England. It’s a Night Rod 2009. I knew you were without ABS. However, I’m surprised that you don’t have the security system either. On the relevant English dealer pages only it says that the machines do not have ABS. That that security system is not included, I don’t think. Can it be that at English Night Rods the alarm system is not a standard? Thanks and greetings, Marcus

  • Sportster 883 Series

Perhaps interesting for some who want to know where Harley’s only true cult bike comes from:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6_PIJD9zhwhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckSR1ExLkSg Apart from some changes, the bikes don’t differ much from today’s sportsies you can buy from Harley dealers!

  • fat bob and esm of kess

hello! I am here with my fat bob newcomer and hope that you might be able to help me further… so actually I was really excited about the manual kess bags so far. our sporty(bj.05) sounds, open, gigantic. the typical blubber is awesome. actually I expected a similar sound pleasure with my fat bob. I decided for the esm of kess and am massively disappointed. the annoying opening and closing of the sound flaps I could still fix with dirty workshop circuit, but the sound is bony, quiet and resembles more of a castrated vrod. of the blubber and labber of a harley is certainly nothing more to hear. if we stand next to the ampel the small 1200er plugs the big twin, sound-technically, inaudible into the bag. – at kesss they told me, that would lie on the cataly located in the bender. “schmeits meine holaler ist einfach mein darmt or unhearbar ist eine zer.

  • “Switching Assistant” for Harleys

This topic jumped on me after reading about it. Already 2006 it was a topic here at MT, but now we are about 10 years further. Does anyone have experience with this feature ? Yes, I now know those who like to stir in the gearbox, as then as with the cars the automatic became more and more up-to-date. After all, only the pressing of the clutch is eliminated. It is still switched. But, it can be of interest for some here. The Fa. these parts among others for Har leys builds, this is here: (I hope it’s not illegal advertising, because it’s about technology for our bikes) https://rekluse.com/product/harley-davidson-exp-clutch-kit/ Let’s hear Pepe

  • Difference Road King ./. Heritage Classic

Hello together, I play with the thought of getting a Harley-Davidson as a new car. I like the models Road King and Heritage Classic. I recognize only slight differences in both machines in all areas. Can you perhaps help me further and tell me in what essentially differ and what the advantages and disadvantages of the respective type are? Thank you in advance and many greetings!!

  • Kalsbeek – sale of an HD with wrong mileage

Hello guys, I bought a used HD Road King Police from Kalsbeek last year. After a tip about the history of the bike, I unfortunately only got the Carefax documents now. As it turned out, the mileage performance specified in the purchase contract was wrong and the previous accident damage was not communicated to me. I had communicated this matter to Mr. [content removed from MOTOR-TALK] and had related to the back of the bike. Instead of being expected by a reputable dealer, I also had to be fooled. After many repainted used bikes are sold at Kalsbeek, I would be interested to know if there may also be other customers of Kalsbeek who have had similar experiences. I would be happy to expect your communication, in order to possibly jointly oppose this agreement. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

  • Breakout seating position

Hello, on my old days as a 50’s I want to finally fulfill my Harley dream. It should be a softail breakout. I would have a few basic questions for that. 1. Are the footrests already in series or is it going on? I am 184cm at 93 kg Is it rather more comfortable on long distances or is it just an optical matter that hits the back? 2. Rather a used one with an old engine, or to grab the new ones? Somehow I have a strong aversion in terms of water cooling at Harleys. ?? But with the newer ones it is not so noticeable at least. 3. I wanted to make rear conversion with Thunderbike incl. Airide as also the partner should ride with times. Does a positive or also negative experience about this? 4. I read here and there always something of mapping if you take for example another Lufi. Can one explain to me briefly what this is? For all the answers except the reference to the search function I would like to thank you.

  • Secure Head Ventilation Screws

Good morning together, I have a somewhat lay question. I changed the air filter bottom at my FXD Dainer Super Gilde. I am aware that the two head ventilation screws should be secured because of the vibrations. The torque of the screws is,I believe, 16MN. Can Loctite 243 be used to secure, where the force to release the screw is specified with 26NM? Thank you for your answers.

  • Search German maintenance book for EVO Big twin and possibly EVO Sportster 1986 to 2003.

Search Harley Davidson maintenance book in German for EVI Big Twin and possibly also for an EVO Sportster 1986 to 2003. Can also be pdf, but I don’t care about the main thing in German. I’m happy to pay if it stays in the frame for the trouble. Who reads this and maybe has something to share with the two models Sportster XLH Bj 1986 and Electra Glide Bj 1990; can also contact me here. Would be very happy. Lg
