Moin Moin, does anyone have experience with power sockets? I would like to put such a can on the frame of my Harley to charge the motorcycle battery via the connection of the cigarette lighter. Have pictures charged – the can is connected directly to the battery (power cable with eyelets). Unfortunately, find no clear information. Some claim that the battery is only partially charged, others say it works…. Can someone recommend me a proper can + matching charger hlen (if it works)? Currently I have to dismantle the seat and release the tank to get to the battery (custom frame / parts). About short info I would be happy to have a nice weekend. Greeting Steffen

Convert analog tacho or other idden???
Moin. Please ask the technicians. 1992 Heritage. We will install new wheels and then the tacho drive has done itself by a tacho screw. What are the possibilities for the analog tacho to continue to use or what possibilities are there in the digital tacho range to operate? Thank you u Greetings

Harley won’t go into first gear while the warm engine is running.
Harley doesn’t switch into the first gear while the warm engine is running. Who knows exactly the problem and what did he do about it? Clutch is new (was not the reason) and all oils are fresh. The phenomenon suddenly occurs for two weeks, has not announced. In cold condition it can be switched on. At the start of the journey, too. After a few hundred meters you step like against a wall. It remains in the second gear. I had after a long drive that I even did not go into the second sha It’s a bit annoying to start at the traffic light with the 3rd gear and grinding clutch. No funny noises. All other gears can be switched. Fat Boy 1990 Greeting, Eddy

HD Sporti 1200 BJ 2008 – can you or shouldn’t you mix engine oil?
Hello Bin Grad desperate. My motorcycle had little oil in it. Wants to tip what I also did.. 20w50 is on my last bill when changing oil.. assume that the mineral oil was/is in it. Then I accidentally tipped full synthetic oil 20w50 on it.. had the motorcycle also had a short time on afterwards.. my question, is there something bad happening now with my engine? Someone told me that you could not mix these oils.. could clump… or get greasy. Should I rather leave the oil completely out of my oil tank and then tip new ones in? Oh yes.. after I had to fill it up shortly after the oil, I looked again after the oil stand. It seemed strange to me then, because the oil in the oil tank looked like foamy.. that is not normal or. Use your advice.. Thank you Greeting Felix

Import buy machine?
Hello, I could get a Harley-Davidson FLSTFI Fat Boy conversion but I am very unsure. The machine was imported from the USA because it had an accident there (no frame damage). The whole conversion was done in Germany. German papers and new TÜV is also included. What do you think?

Buell XB12 conversion to Crane Hi4 ignition, who can help
A beautiful good morning, need help, here my problem: I still had a Buell engine to lie on the shelf, then I got by chance still a sportster frame Bj. 87. Now only one thing remained to do ….. plant. Of course had to make a few engine holders but not impossible. Engine is now installed, fits and looks decent but now come the small problems and that: I am actually a friend of “less is more” so I wanted a completely no rmale Ignition install, preferably a singlefire. So no injection, no control unit etc. Now I come to my limits with regard to ignition, the singlefire ignitions have of course 2 contact points on the plate and a contact always hits against a hump in the housing, so the ignition plate can not turn fully to adjust the ignition at OT. Now my consideration is whether I just use a dualfire ignition, has after all only a contact device, but is a lot but what if I take the original ignition but leave the injection system away and install a carburettor. I have no idea about it with injection systems and control units. That was always the advantage of my Harley ….. 3 cables and the box is running 🙂 If the control unit can output the ignition signal normally, I saw that the Buell rotor has more than 2 cutouts 🙁 Had already considered whether I press the nose in the rotor again u and the ignition then aligns accordingly but where? I once set a few pictures that is last EVO, so the rotor would have to stand at OT position, you see, both recesses are not hindered by anything, so that the ignition can be turned right and left. In the Buell, a recess is concealed. My idea would be to twist the rotor by approx. 90 degrees after linbs, so that both openings are in free space. If I have no thought error, it doesn’t really matter how the Ignition plate is installed, but it is important that the rotor stops the contact at the right place, right? Maybe someone has done this before, I have a big mistake in my mind? Does someone have other suggestions or have they been implemented before. I didn’t find much about it in the net about a Sporty with XB9/12 engine ……. maybe that’s why? There must be a solution for sure!!! Would I be happy about any idea/proposal. Thank you very much in advance. LG Boo

Which spark plugs do you drive in your 1340 EVO?
Since I always have a bit of problems with the rear spark plug I wanted to ask what kind of candles you have in the evo? I’m currently driving the original HD candles, but I’m not really excited about it. What can you recommend?

News from TÜV
As we had to learn some time ago or again, a small defect can mutate to a considerable defect. For example, a defective registration plate lamp was previously rather a small defect, today any malfunction of the lighting is considered a significant defect, a plaque cannot be assigned. Since the 1.7.22 there is at least a new pointedness: display of the driven kilometers not recognizable–significant defect–no badge! (Small display in the tacho has a swa On this occasion I found out that my torn-off catch tape on the tank cap of my car would be treated the same way…since the 1.7.22 Luckily my blood pressure valve whistled off in time.

Current when starting Fatboy
Hai, does anyone know how high the starting current is at the things? I have a 2012 Fatboy with the 107 engine. Quite new battery (has worked well 6 months), but breaks down when starting to 5-6 volts. It can be charged perfectly and then also has 13, something volts, but does not start in cold condition. I can measure 66amps for short periods of time with the current pliers when bridged. Is this normal or too high?

Carburettor bangs (that my ears almost flew off)
Hello girls, hello guys, please help me understand what happened and what to do… That the carburetor of my Sporty Bj. 96 sometimes pats me no more bothers me. Today it slammed neatly, huiuiiii… After that no more stand gas, with Choke was also nothing to fix. I looked behind the breadbox, the gas train was no longer in the lead. Brotbusch unscrewed, carburetor looked at (the fuel came out like a Kobra spits). Then started again (without air filter. Lief pr ima, but high-touring, because I fixed the choke. So Choke freed, while holding the carburettor with the knee. He then went off from the tube that leads to the cylinder. I couldn’t get the carburettor on it anymore. So I examined the rubber parts that connect the two parts. The inner ring was torn. Questions: 1. What are these rubber rings? 2. Why is the carburettor not firmly screwed with the tube that leads to the cylinders (or it is screwed) Only I didn’t see it??? Or so that if it hits, the carburetor can fly off???) 3.Is there another reason why it banged like that? How can a rubber tear like this suddenly? ( Or was it just scratched and the bang only did the rest…) 4. Is it enough if I get this rubber ring and put the carburetor back on it? Do I have to pay attention to something? Don’t squash something? 5. Did I miss something, don’t pay attention, don’t ask a question? But if the car doesn’t run, I’m going to be quite willing (in addition: imagine, I’m somewhere in the Pampa, and because of a rubber ring I can’t go on… Wouldn’t it be a little impractical, right?) Oh, so that I can unscrew the carburettor, a friend motivated me via phone. For his confidence in my “skills” I thank you at this point So: what should I do? Thank you. Ciao, lucky (very proud of her oily, black fingernails)
