  • Inherited HD Sportster 883 BJ 2009 in DE allow

    Hello together, I have got an HD inherited (the first motorcycle) that stands in Serbia. This is a US import what I could find out from the chassis number (1HD4…) the import I do myself. For the following processes open up however the question whether one can say exactly what needs to be rebuilt and if I need what exact documents for it ( Datasheet of HD or similar? ) BTW: does someone in the area Dortmund know a workshop that does this ? Thank you in the Vora us for your help!

  • Battery maintenance device tecMate – Optimate 3

    Hello, after I have replaced the defective battery with a new one, I notice the following with my charger: Device tecMate – Optimate 3 – new battery: Banner BGTX30L When I connect the device, it goes immediately into the “charge mode”. The yellow indicator light is then on. However, after some time the green LED 5 (Test & Maintain ) flashes continuously. In the battery that was previously installed ( original HD ) the LED 5 did not flash but lit permanently. Lt. W This should probably be correct, because the device always checks whether charge is correct. (Workshop didn’t really know the charger) Unfortunately, I don’t find a German-language manual for the charger. I don’t really find anything about it in the net either – (maybe I’m too deppert for the right search 🙂 ) Maybe someone here has made an idea or at best the same or a similar experience.

  • New Kess-Tech – electronically adjustable?

    Hi folk, today had post from Kess-Tech. The electronically adjustable now with EG-ABE! Great pleasure… unfortunately on the homepage slightly disillusioned, though not really smarter. If I really puzzle the information available there, that means: 1. There is no legally adjustable system during the ride. So also this is not. 2. This is legal and can be adjusted during the ride. 3. The puzzle solution: It meets the legal limits in every position. My conclusion: So it always sounds “legal”, so *hush* rather not at all… but then why the whole effort? Why invest 1700,-?   • Insurance for HD

    Hi, everybody, I’ve made the effort to calculate different insurances online for different HD models. Interestingly, a softail, dynamite or sportster have the same prices, which V-Rod is up to 3.5 times more expensive. This can not only be due to the performance. I had also calculated the V-Rod once with reduced 98 hp (even if only with one provider). Then it is cheaper, but still with about 1.7 times the other models. I I have compiled and appended the data in an EXCEL table (naturally zipped). Does anyone know an insurance company that is cheaper than the ones listed there? It also depends on the rates, which ‘moped’ is possible for me in the spring. If no one can offer anything cheaper, maybe the table is also interesting to compare your current insurance with it.   • Street Bob Model 2008

    I’ve driven my Sporty for 3 years now and now I’m going to go abroad. I ordered the 2008 Street Bob last week and if I’m lucky it comes this autumn – happy – From the pictures I already know every screw, read everything there is to read – but the with the new exhaust system of Harley is a mystery to me – under emission values etc. Who can explain this to me?

  • Tank hose bridge – check valve

    Hello, I have not succeeded in installing a double check valve. Reason: petrol hose to storr – the valve coupling is not possible. Here is a sketch. This looks simple, but to bend the hoses like this and then pull the coupling apart is not possible. Even longer hose pieces I have tried…. but that is not possible either, because then the valve is pushed back so far that it hides between rocker box and frame train / tank so that it is nic And it’s on the rocker box and it’s getting hot. I’ve built the normal bridge again.

  • Kawa better than Harley!!!!

    Tach, didn’t you think so? Man, who’s already changing from a Harley to a Japse? I’ve asked it in another forum but nobody really knew about it. I have a RK EFI TC (FLHRCI) of 00 with, theoretically, adjustable Kess pots. Down are now 85,000 and I have 3 points because of the Kess pots. Supposedly it’s at Harleys like with a woman, is she Jung gehts with make-up, is she old had to operate or exchange. But I don’t want to replace any others? Not at all! Now I thought that I could not breathe a little bit more temperament and culture into me. So you are running now: If I give gas, then you make sound and then you go off, but unfortunately not like Schmidt’s cat but just like a Harley. That’s really …hot when I overtake it. Sometimes you swallow yourself, though one-pointer. At low speed, too. Bergrunter slams you sometimes like hell. a) I’ll take them to one of those who has a real idea of setting up, but who in the Stuttgart area? But guess that’s not because I have regular inspection. b) K&N air filter c) I’ll have your powercomander implatted. Who has had experience with it? I’ve read that the PC actually doesn’t do anything. Costs with performance levels around the 800,– to 900,– d) More upper range from 1450 to 1550cc. Costed around the 2000,– with PC e) I buy ne Kawa . . . . . . . . . . . Mu uuuuaaahhhhhhhaaaaa Clear, you can do anything, but what are meaningful changes? I want to have a little more culture, a little more torque, better response and maybe a few PS more. Who has own experiences? So here with the suggestions Greetings

  • First experiences Fatboy 2007

    I don’t want to open a shoulder headGratulationsThreat here. I picked up my 07 Fatboy two days ago and would like to describe my first impressions briefly. Maybe it helps one or the other with his choice. Engine and transmission are significantly better than the old TC (had a 2003 Fatboy). Also the seat and the changed seat holder. I drove them now only gently, but you notice clearly the bigger “bumms”. I find the sound increasingly better, at first I have He is a little inhomogeneous because of the new “gas organization” of the 07 model at different speeds. Is not the wisdom of the last conclusion The handling in curves is a little worse because of the 200er. But what I have only now noticed that they have done something on the frame. The stepping boards put on (positively) clearly later. And here it is. The construction seems to be completely different from the previous TCs. Maybe someone knows about it. I still have all my old parts purchased and they don’t fit at all at the rear. The holes of the Fenderstruts are different, i.e. the saddle bags will soon be found in Ebay as well as the toolbox. Of course, they don’t fit anymore. Not to mention my small seat pad. The rear, holes, swing, distances; a Only the holes for Sissybars fit. Here is the warning for the USA dealer for 07s: Be a little careful when buying via the HD homepage. There are too many parts offered for the 07s than they could fit. I don’t trust the roasting. I don’t know how far it concerns the other models like Deluxe. In any case you can forget the parts purchase in ebay here.   • Softail Deluxe: Next month it’s time

    Hello dear fellow citizens In about 4 weeks my Softail Deluxe will arrive at the dealer in Speyer. Which means my username is not quite correct anymore: I would have to name Harleyfahrer ́07 from now on! I wanted to get a Harley in 2009, but I made the mistake and drove different Harley ́s in the last weeks to the rehearsal. And something came up: The Kawa had to get away, Harley here. Since my buddies drive all athletes, the one or other trip for me will probably not be So my question is now: are there Harley bikers in Rhein-Neckar-Raum who take occasional trips or meet casually in pubs?   • Battery Extension Road King 2009 FLHRC

    Hello together, since I have already received some useful tips on another topic, I hope now for your help with my HD problem. My Road King – year 2009 – needs a new battery. Now the information about the procedure when expanding the battery (Motorcycle has alarm system) see differently also with the HD dealers. Is the following procedure really correct: 1.) Ignition on (so that alarm system is switched off) and directly pull main fuse – extension kan 2.) Ignition on (so that alarm system is switched off) Ignition directly off again and immediately pull main fuse. What is right now of both possibilities? 🙁 Would be very grateful if someone had a good tip.
