Recently I met a friend who I told me that I was driving Harley. He said, “Are you part of the group that must demonstrate their potency with mega-long fork and extra-high handlebars?” Later I asked myself, what are Langabel and high handlebars supposed to be about, not to mention the mega-fat rear tyres that some people put into his bike. Is there a psychological background or are Peter Fonda and Denis Hopper with their legendary Easy Rider film from de in 1969 still present today in the minds and the extended motorcycle parts simply an expression of personal freedom or rebellion against everything normal ? What do you mean ?

Motorcycle checks/exhausts
Hi, have you already read the new Bikers News ? There’s a big report inside about the police during motorcycle checks.Have some bikers fished out and had to dismantle the tailpipes or the motorcycle was seized as proof protection etc. There’s a lot going on. Was probably in the Frankfurt area. There you get 3 points in Flensburg and 50 Euro penalty. With the adjustable Kess Tech you can safely continue driving if that is closed but the points & penalty I guess you’ll get. Are they all so crazily on it? The controls will start from April 1 but where everywhere? Bernhold

Sound of the new XL 1200 C
Hello! I recently switched to a brand new Harley XL 1200 C. From the beginning with the “Aerator Kit” incl. needle and Screamin Eagle SE2 end pots. (Attention, this was a mistake, there are the pots with the No. 80415-04 with the SE Kit 29042-04 = so not the loud SE2 pots) Well, what should I say: The performance is excellent, but with sound management you could improve a lot. For example, I drove the original pots – but with pierced sheets – a mortar The sound! Now the question arises: What do I do with the SE2? Should I also let it pass? I want to leave the original pots unchanged in the garage for possible control. Has anyone already gained experience with the open SE2? I have heard that they then sound “blechern”. So, what are your tips for improving the sound. Thanks already in advance…. Stormbringer

Progressive suspension
Hello guys, I want and have to miss my SB other shock absorbers. The original dampers are simply too short (all nose length is something on) and too soft. Who already has experience with the dampers of Progressive Suspension? Are the 412s, or rather the 418s adjustable in the train stage? Or are the 440s the only true thing? I drive a lot with Sozia, and otherwise quite “dynamic” Need a good compromise between comfort and stability. Thanx Ronny

When is there finally a 4-stroke Harley?
I think that most people who like to drive a Harley longingly wait for a 4-stroker.This would be more economical, quieter and you don’t need to mix any oil. I have already played with the idea of buying a Harley Davidson.Unfortunately I have only a 50s appearance. One idea would be to suggest to the gentlemen managers to offer a beginner version in the 50 Kubik class.I think that many of the sizes are deterred and therefore take to the competition. tototz are HD but beautiful vehicles, which unfortunately do not correspond to the technical standard. But what is not still possible, right? Greeting cream7

KessTech plants for 07 models
… in many threads this is always discussed about the technology on and around the exhaust of the new 07 models. Since I am also currently remodeling a new Fat Boy, this is also a very important point for me. That’s why I asked Kess and, for all who are interested, put their answer here in the forum: thank you for your request. Therefore, there is nothing on our homepage, because we can not deliver yet. It is “paper-technically” as far as everything is ready, but w If we don’t sell anything as long as we don’t have the EG ABEs on our table yet. Furthermore, we have to wait for the KATs, which are needed to comply with the EURO III exhaust emission standard. With your model, a KAT comes in every cracker and yes, the plants will then become more expensive. The second thing that comes with your choice, the Shotgun plant, is that we have to provide our crackers with a recording for the Lambda probe. With pots on the original curvatures, this remains more logical for us. The active exhaust system of Harley remains in place, even if the original manifolds remain in place. It continues to work normally. In the case of exhaust systems where the manifold is replaced, the flap and the engine fall away, but we have to simulate the motor electronics that both are still in place, so that no error message is displayed in the amatur. However, we do not intervene in the motorcycle electronics of H-D. We will pre-press the end pots for the original manifold. I hope I could answer all your questions to your satisfaction. If anything is still unclear, just email again. Friendly greeting Kess-Tech GmbH Gerrit Full still a friendly biker’s greeting to Alle BigNig

Moin Men, have changed my 2004 RK against a 2006 RK. The 2004er had 17500km on it. Have rebuilt all parts. I am satisfied with the 2006er. Wouldn’t like 6speed. I also accelerated on the train with the 2007. ( next to each other ) and also driven itself. No difference despite more ccm and about 6 Ps more. And the control of the exhaust (engine managant) also does not like. Have changed an open air filter and the software,so Stage one the part goes to the 190 km that is enough we It’s a bit out of date.

Questions about Ultra Classic
Hello, after many years Goldwing and BMW LT I am hard to think about whether an E-Glide Ultra Classic would be the right one for me. After a first visit to the dealer several questions have emerged e.g.: In the I-net I saw the Ultra with three (!) different King Tour-Pak variants: 1. with brake -, rear light 2. without brake -, rear light 3. with blinding of the lights from black plastic Which of these versions is the UC delivered in Germany? the max. charge of this machine? Is there any experience with the heatable, thermostat-controlled heating handles of HD? Maybe someone can answer one or the other question. Thanks already gravnov
