  • Care, Tips Harley

Hello together, as a future Streetbob driver (2009) I have been surfing the web for some time to collect information about the topic. Unfortunately with moderate success. Although I have found several Harley forums, this one seems somehow more likeable ^^ My wife and I buy two Streetbob ́s in 2009, but unfortunately we don ́t own a garage and I heard that Harley ́s are quite vulnerable to certain influences (weather). We live in the city center and want to n the moppeds drive all year round. That’s why the topic “maintenance” and “maintenance” is very important to us, at least I think that this will be a topic. I flew over the first 20 pages of the forum and I didn’t notice a suitable thread, so the question: Which tips (maintenance etc., technical modifications) for all-weather drivers can you give us event.? In addition, I would be interested in details about the TC96 (so called the latest engine, or?) is perhaps a PDF or something like this. what is in circulation, where closer to the engine is discussed? (repair instructions or similar, also excerpts). I am interested in this actually every little information has become *addicted* because somehow I have to bridge the time, which is harder for me from day to day Gruss from the Swabia

  • Evo with 60000km, buy or not ?

Moin! I’m interested in a 96 FXST Softail, but this one has already 60000km on the clock. The question is now, you can buy such a” Moppet ” still or should you rather let the fingers of it. Can you specify the mileage of an Evo`s actually about? The Softail is checkbook maintained, therefore I assume that oil change etc. was made regularly. Oh so, one more thing, the motorcycle has a wide tire conversion at the back on a 5.25″ rim (200/ 60) in the original swing (entered). Visually just as I want it to have, but is the conversion now what? or is it rather a “press fit” that works but ultimately is not half and nothing whole. Would I be happy about all the answers. Until then

  • RevTech engine

Hello to you, as a newcomer to Harley. I bought me a Fat Boy 14 days ago, also at my wife’s request, since we can drive them both (I-194 cm, they 159 cm). Now the following problem, in this part is a 100 cui RevTech engine installed and I would like to hear your opinion. Those who have to do with it praise this engine above all, he also has powerful bangs, others say it’s the total scrap. Thank you, until soon, Jo P. S. Of course have the In the forum, existing posts were read, but were not quite informative.

  • FAAK 2009 – Accommodation

Hello Harleyists !! FAAK 2008 is over but 2009 is coming !! Was this year the first time ( let the shame pass by me ) in Faak for 1 day , I liked it very much so that I would like to stay next year 2-3 days . But have not had the time to look at accommodation this year . Ask the FAAK professionals you can tell me suitable accommodation does not have to be 5 star . A garage would be nice to hire . And the guest house should also not be too far of the event . for 2009 because I think it’s too late in spring !! Thank you for some answers

  • Every year new Harley – what drives the people?????

Personally, I can’t understand it (independently of the fact that you burn a lot of coal every time you buy a new product with the payment of the old HD), those are looking for which still THE right Harley or have to drive the latest model as with your mobile phone (some also always pick up the same model)???? Questions about questions. Duck and wech. Greetz BV2B

  • Battery Question & Battery connections..!?!

Hello, in my sportster is the battery inside fries. Now I bought a new one, however I have the following problem. The old battery had when looking at it in driving direction the plus pole from the left side and the minus pole on the right side. With the new battery it is exactly the other way around, plus on the right and minus on the left side. Now I have the problem that my cables plus and minus are too short, could extend the cables which actually not in the sense of the If I turned the battery by 180° it would fit, but I can’t connect the cables like this. Do you have any idea or how did you solve that? Greetings Mr. Nesquik

  • Breakout or Street Bob again

So I’m swinging again if I don’t do it….. No fun Even though I wanted to wait with the message but some people have asked me by PN often as it looks like. I’m currently waiting for my breakout I ordered the Softail Breakout from mine a little over a week ago. Again for me as a dealer only Harley Pfeiffer in Kamen came into question. Both Motomaxx, Harley Köln, Düsseldorf and Thunderbike are so about prices from uncooperative. Eini That’s because I’m a Düsseldorfer That’s what the Depp wants, but already when I ordered the Bob. I’m creepy as only one can order a Harley at all. After I drove the breakout more intensely in nice weather and even quite well around the corner so much the decision was a lot easier Was actually always clear what it should be planned in KW 13 are delivered + then still the time for the conversion. I look forward to the next meeting and on the tours with the usual suspicious with which I am always on Way anyway. Photos still follow. Greeting Tank

  • Another question about “Laute ticking of the valves with hot engine”

Hai Members, after getting a lot of helpful answers to this thread, I learned that the oil pressure decreases with my TC on hot engine and it comes to a loud valve drive. It should not be bad. Now another question: Did someone have the experience by changing the oil types that the loud ticking of the valves has taken off. Thanks for your help greeting Manni

  • Jekill&Hyde to Nightster – cable trains off

Hello forum, I’m new here and have been driving a 2013 Nightster with JuH system for a year. For a short time the regulation did not work anymore. I had to find that the trains no longer sit on the rollers that move the caps. I see at the roll of the rear pot a depression, in which usually this maggot screw, which must be attached to the rope pull. The (I call it) “case”, through which the train is led, dangles only on the rope, I can a Inn This means that the pull is fixed with a maggot screw. This maggot screw is obviously missing. Furthermore, I wonder if this shell simply has to be inserted into the groove in the roll and held in place by the tension of the bowden pull or otherwise it has to be fixed there somehow. – How about the fixation of the shell, which is attached by maggot screw to the pull – is simply inserted into the depression in the roll or other – Where do I get such a matching maggot screw? – is it correct that I have to find the servo in order to release the train there, in order to be able to guide it through the sleeve? Or do you get a suitable maggot screw for the pod? Unfortunately I have zero documents to it. On Wednesday a friend comes to help, who is also riding a motorcycle and knows very well with engine and transmission technology, but also has not installed a flap system. Thanks in advance!

  • Twin cam 103 Reduce speed

Servus I’m planning on getting a 2014 Street Bob in just over a month Since I’ve already read in a few posts that the sound of the twin cam is not really intoxicating (compared to the evo) I would like to let myself reduce the speed Question 1: Where is it really pricey when it comes to a conversion? Question 2: Is that worth it, since I’ve heard that the oil pressure is causing problems Thanks for your expertise Greeting Mike
