Beautiful converted StreetBob model 2008 – Super maintained and maintained. Tachostand z.Z about 20200km. Only beauty problem: motorcycle fell down once about 6 months ago and since then there is a bump in the tank and slight scratches in the front fender…. no further damage. All accessories original HD for several thousand euros!! Moin together, Moped is Sportster 883 Hugger, built in 2000 Unfortunately, the standing bolt, which acts as a bracket from the front exhaust pan, is broken inside – could pull the bolt out after loosening the brake pedal forward. I haven’t opened up yet, since I don’t have a replacement bolt anyway. But if I look at the breakpoint (only to see max. 2 threaded passages) I fear that there is no “material” left for the case to grab the rest. The cleanest solution would then be to drill – cut left thread, turn hexagon screw in and out. A.) I have no threaded cutting kit and B.) I am not sure if the standing bolts are secured so firmly (glued) that this stub can then be loosened like this. Does someone have something better in it? e.g. leave stubs in it, from the inside through you sprocket cover a short screw through and done – just fix it on the inside then? ?Thank you very much for your suggestions Question 2: If I want to take down the pinion cover, separate brake pedal from the brake cylinder – unscrew the brake cylinder from the cover – unscrew the 3 fixing screws of the lid and then (completely with brake pedal and rest attachment?) take off. Or do I have to separate the brake cylinder from the brake line? @ KW: thank you in advance for pointing out a proper workshop manual. I know it is very useful, I know about my Honda – but: I still have none, maybe enough in this case also tips. Greetings Lone

Have a new moped before me, which machine you would recommend to me. My selection : Street Rod 750(Glassing,Swimming, 37-40 degrees) Sportster Iron 883(direct injection, slanting, 27-28 degrees) Sportster Iron1200(direct injection, slanting, 27-28 degrees) Since I come from the Black Forest and there are many curves here, the Street 750 would be very suitable, but I don’t like the rear of this machine. I like everything about the Iron 883, but the slanting is a me a little too weak. I thought, why only one with 883 ccm if I can get one with 1200 ccm for 300 more is the same machine and the same engine only with a larger piston diameter. What experiences have you made with Harley? (Have a Virago 535 for 7 years which I have rebuilt over time)

Don’t be happy with the braking performance of my thicknesses – I have tested both sinter metal and organic coverings now..just a little better, last week with blocked and slipped front wheel almost descended. So: I would like to put other brakes on it, with the same shots (2 discs), one can install newer brakes from Harley without any changes or has from you someone experience with improved brake performance. Unfortunately also can not be expensive, so up to 500 E uro complete. Many thanks to all late brakes ! nothing butverdrus
