I would be interested in what the HD dealers in Germany get for a margin for new bikes or demonstrators, there are differences in the series, e.g. Sporster,Softail,Dyna…. Does the HD headquarters sometimes also take actions e.g. for old 2006 models there is a special premium. Are the dealers kept by the delivery plant as tight as in the car industry ? Which insider breaks his silence ?

after my nighttrain was stolen a month ago, yesterday a speaker from HD admitted that Harleys are currently being stolen in a crowd. The thieves are going pretty hard and don’t shy away from grinding the machia over a car roof when the cart is standing in front of the moped… Now I’m thinking a few things: 1. Do I really want to do a new Harley (risk) or should I rather get a triumph Rocket. 2. If the nighttrain isn’t the same Rod, then I probably have to protect them accordingly. I was with Louis today and I looked at the chain Abus Granite Extreme Plus 59. Looks quite massive yet can something like a flex stand or better said, how long ? Does any of you have experience with it ? Did any of you steal the bike despite such a chain or similar ? My current safety plan looks like this: 2 Abus Granite with bottom anchor plus 2 alarm BS locks , factory alarm system and another special technical device. I hope that these measures would prevent further theft.

Hello, Need a good tip Have bought me complete rebuilt Harley Fat Boy and need an insurance. Am with my cars at the HUK but have read in the forums (V2 Peter) that you should go to a different insurance. But could not find anything in the forums. So please your tip or experiences you have made with the insurances. Should one submit an opinion at the insurances so that one has no stupid awakening after it???

Hi guys, I absolutely need technical advice because I have no idea at all about screwing! But what net is can still be:-)!! So to the problem: During my last exit I had at once misignitions and it went out. It jumps back to normal but as soon as you get over a certain point in the gas it goes out again!! I have already checked the nozzles on the carburetor for pollution. And fuel gets them too. Maybe a problem with d he ignition!!?? So who would have a tip for me would be great or maybe even know what that is. Thanks already in advance.

Hello again, after the failed start attempt of my Sporty (see my thread „Start-up-help fails – what now?) now the fuse changed and the battery recharged, at least the controller does not seem to have broken and the power supply works again. But the engine still does not start! At the pressure on the starter button – no matter whether with or without Choke – just sounds a crack without the engine turning. If you have a gang e and the machine pushes a little bit back and forth, then the starter grabs briefly, then again the clapping. Pushing with inserted gear with pulled clutch only goes with extreme power. And: in my garage it is still around 5 degrees. Could it be because the engine oil is simply too cold? Or what else to do? Moin Moin, I haven’t driven a motorcycle for 20 years, but now I want to get a Harley. I’m 38 years old. Unfortunately, there aren’t a lot of motorcycles that fit me visually, as well as ergonomically. I’m 203 cm tall! What do you think, which Harley fits the best from the size alone? I like a Fat Boy or V-Rod best. What do you think, which fits only from the size? Is there a model, for example, that you can adapt very well to the size due to various modifications ? At a Harley the sound rides me, that something special, that other motorcycles like e.g. all Japanese don’t have, emotion and the quality (is that really so good?) I’m rather the driver who likes to drive over the country road, but this also sometimes sporty. Should you buy a new maschiene or is it more worthwhile e.g. a demonstration machine ??
