  • Insurance

Hello everyone: Have my FatBoy since 1999 and have insured her with the HUK, just like my car too. I have so far comprehensive with 150€ excess as a partial cashier and comprehensive with 300€ SB as a liability. I drove 40% and was accident-free, so far cost 420€ a year. I asked for a double card because I soon get a 2007ner Fatboy. The HUK called me yesterday and said they would give me a contract again (wow!), but only with 500€ share share. ng, because Harley would have such a “bad insurance history”. That costs now 480€ a year, ok, the “new” also has 20 hp more. I find it naughty to take a vehicle change occasion to collect or restrict the benefits. What do you pay for insurance? Gruss Gerd

  • Fasten your luggage, huh?

Hi together, I’d be interested in how you attach your luggage when it’s going on a big tour. First of all, the Sporty and Dyna drivers are in demand, or those who don’t call their own suitcases. I always have to hold a luggage roll from Louis, which I then lashing on the saddle. As fixing points I always take the rear turn signals and the license plate holder. First of all, this doesn’t look and doesn’t last very well. Do you have a good solution. Luggage nets (which I think are luggage spiders) from Louis should be quite useful. Thank you for your suggestions PS: Saddle bags I definitely do not want

  • Shell V-Power for Softail Deuce Injection

Hello Harleybiker! I recently decided to refuel my Softail Deuce Injection with Shell V-Power (100 Oktan). The fuel is a lot more expensive, but should also bring more power and less fuel consumption. I have now driven a complete tank empty and actually got a good 80 kilometers further. I also subjectively the impression that my bike “switches off” better. The consumption was exactly 5,2 l / 100 km. – Has someone made similar experiences with the Supersprit ? – Can the Supersprite hurt the engine ? – Do I have to fill in the Supersprite now ? Thanks in advance for your answers

  • Air filter Night Train 2007

Hello together, I hope someone can help me further. I ordered an air filter from the internet. This one came also today. But now I have a problem. Of course there was no instruction. • Recommendation Dealer 1600 km inspection at UK Import ?

Moin Moin, who knows official dealers who inspect UK imported without murmuring? The Dutch seem to be very business-oriented and like to take these, are there Germans too? Who has experience in Germany/North Germany? Greeting Stefan

  • Metal ring of transmission belt disc has dissolved

Hello together, I’m new here, just registered, 44 years old, male and live in Wuppertal/NRW – When I shot a ruffle on my 1991 HD Softail yesterday, I heard a strange grinding noise. I couldn’t locate it directly and thought it was coming from another vehicle. I drove on and then noticed the noise comes from my pock, towards the primary box, or belt wheel. I felt a loose sheet metal part with my hand. Right home into the garage and my Monteu r. My dealer had no idea what that could be, so I looked at such a belt wheel in the Zodiac catalogue and you can see an upright sheet metal ring on the belt wheel and it is now clinging loosely between primary box and belt wheel! Unfortunately, we have only a month or longer the possibility to get the bike with a trailer, so my question: Can I drive with the loose ring about 25km slowly over land road or run I risk that something is blocked and I n Break your neck? If you think logically, it would have to be fine, because the metal ring turns along and only grinds on the toothed wreath and not on the belt…..what do you mean??? Thanks for feedback and greetings from W.-Tal Andi PS: The moped is too nice to ride flat, they drive now almost 20 years, send in a picture next time! Thank you

  • Per iridium candle

Hello, there are already Iridium threads here, but they are so, sometimes so out, so here’s my current report: [Introductory: I don’t work for NGK, also not for other accessories industry and have even materially absolutely NIX of this recommendation, but set it anyway, is just my experience, maybe other forum participants also think in this direction (but can only speak for mine, as is with injectors – no idea)]. Was a little dissatisfied n with the warm start behavior of my carburetor FXDX, she also sometimes swallowed herself during constant drive. Had voucher for accessories provider and me decided to redeem this (in the absence of the not exactly luxuriant offer with HD parts) for the not exactly favorable (with Aunt Louise ́s there ́s the just in the offer: 12.95Euro/St.) NGK Iridium candles (DCPR-7EIX at TC88). I installed it yesterday, the result is quite concise according to my current knowledge: nachvo llzugbar improved cold and warm start behavior, clean passage without swallowing and – somehow it does not run as rough as before. Does not want to recommend it to the general public now (never change a running system), but with me they have brought the desired effect.

  • Dyna Street Bob weak suspension fork??

Hi there, unfortunately I didn’t really find something on the internet that helps me with my problem. The following: I plan to buy a Dyna Street Bob 2011 96CUI. Today I looked at one again. Since it fits from the price into my budget, I also looked a bit more closely. I noticed then that the suspension fork in the front is bad and then not up to the stop. I did not see any oil or anything at the fork. Before that, I did not see any oil or anything else. a sportster S built in 2022 and lastly a Suzuki GSX-S 750 – that was definitely not the case there. Of course, the Dyna is heavy and built in 2011, I think you didn’t put such a great emphasis on the suspension on such a motorcycle. Can you tell me if the generally sluggish or does the suspension fork have a way? Thank you very much

  • Harley for big people

Moin! I’d like to get an HD and I’m totally fascinated by the Fat Boy. But I just read somewhere that Fat Boy is nothing for big people. Before I get up to any test drives and pros, I’d like to know from you what you can recommend to me for an HD, if you take into account that I’m 1.93 m tall and not quite easy. I don’t want to look like I’m on my Bonanza bike. Thank you.
