  • Purchase decision HD Road King bj 2008

    Good morning, I’m new in the motorcycle world, but I’m completely convinced by HD and would like to buy a tourer, because I would like to do tours in and around Europe in the near future. Only my thought is that as a complete newcomer I wanted to buy a used HD and also not necessarily the newest one, if something happens or the box should fall down it doesn’t hurt as much as with a new one. Now I’m just looking and interested very much for a road king and would also consider private offers since the prices are of course again more attractive than those of the dealer. Only I have no clue what you should pay attention to, though the offers mostlyvaöle TÜV and service have but enough to say that they are worth buying ?! I hope to find here answer to save me a several 100 km drive and drive with empty hands back home or maybe someone would also have interested me at the ka uf to help.   • Screw securing

    Servus, used 5 chrome-plated screws 7/16″ UNC for the assembly of my new chrome sprocket and secured them properly with blue Loctite. After I had screwed around quite a lot overall, it remained during a careful lap in front of the garage in 1 and shortly in 2nd aisle – until suddenly the rear wheel completely blocked. 3 meters brake track and a violent adrenaline release later I noticed that all 5 screws had loosened and one so far that they were on the swing ve If I had read the detailed description on the Loctite website in advance, I would have understood the problem with passive materials and surfaces (chromium, stainless steel) and got the corresponding catalyst by Loctite or used simple steel screws. After the adhesion is clearly best with the very simple steel screws, Loctite are now the creepy black things inside. Sure is safe. So remember – chrome screws are beautiful, but keep doing the simple things apparently better. best greeting TGV

  • 124 cui how and where to register

    Hello I’m new here. I have a Heritage Softail Bj. 2004 where I had to install a kit that brings the machine to 124 cui with the condition to the screwdriver (one-man workshop) that the thing is registered. Now the guy from the workshop was today at the TÜV and did not get the thing registered, since apparently the exhaust values are not correct yet? Does he want to fuck me or what’s up? The problem with the thing is that I have already paid fas all! What should I do? ? Does he even get this registered? I’m sick of it because now is nice weather and I really wanted to drive!     =An optimal combustion takes place only if in every load state and at every speed the air-fuel ratio (AFR = air-fuel ratio) has an optimal ratio of 14.8 : 1. Both conditions always lead to loss of power, uncultivated motor run, overheating or extra consumption!= Maximum power is achieved with Lambda~0.95 (AFR ~ 13.97), i.e. slightly fat mixture, but not with Lambda=1 (with the latter the three-way cat achieves its highest efficiency). If the engine is too fat the engine runs colder because the combustion of hydrocarbons with too little air leads to an increased amount of CO (instead of CO2). t more energy (temperature) free than that to CO, otherwise colder.   • Bike & Fun Stadthalle Fürth

    Hello people of the region (or also from further away) ! On 4+5 April the Bike & Fun fair takes place in Fürth … just googeln! There is nothing wild in the net, but the Dotzer from Hilpoltstein, district Roth is exhibiting. I am just thinking about making a small stand there, with the motto “HD Friends of Nuremberg Land” or something similar. I don’t want to act as a club and not as a club, but if necessary would be a suitable platform to find like-minded people in the region in order to do something like this. I know how to create a HD STammtisch. Joint exits, an annual warm-up to the season start and a final drive in autumn I know from a HD Stammtisch near Frankfurt. There are times more times fewer people but in total about 25 mopeds come together. Not all twins from USA, but that doesn’t have to be mandatory – but would be nice! Who is there, who wants to, who comes from N, FÜ, LAU, SC, RH, ER, NM and would in principle be at a start of a round of Gl as I said, no association with board & co. or even fees and statutes – I don’t want that either! Loose round with casual meeting times here times times there, gasoline chat, exchange knowledge etc. Could also be used as forum meeting. Aurian – I hope that does not stand against the board rules!?!? All then, come on!

  • Realistic sales price for Fat Boy

    Hello, I have a 07 Fat Boy, which I have equipped in the last 18 months with probably all the chrome parts from the HD catalogue. In addition a discreet rear conversion and a few other small toys. Let everything be done at the nice dealer and so sunk or invested around the 15,000 Euro in addition to the bike. Now, after everything is as I imagined it, the enthusiasm is somehow not there anymore and I would have had more fun again. It’s kind of stupid – I know – but it’s like that. Now I got a valuation report a few weeks ago (29,400 euros the bike, not the report…) and the part for 27,500 euros put into mobile.de. So far zero reaction, but also have no idea if you wait here for months, until someone comes in, or only in the spring someone comes etc. If someone has a clue if the price is too high, if you have to so a bike is better at HD in payment or is the value of the conversion maximum the purchase price of the bike ? Would I be happy if someone has already had any (hopefully good) experience with the sale of its conversion. Thank you in advance, dakarmira
