  • Would you like to buy me a Sportser 833 Custom – which costs are coming to me?

Hello everyone, I female, 33, would like to get a motorcycle after 4 years of abstinence again. And of course only a Sporty is possible. In order not to end up with RTL debt advisor in 2 years, because I did not calculate the costs well before, I wanted to ask you about it. I also need your experience with Punkto new vehicle vs. used vehicle. I don’t have any credit. I only know how to drive and refuel! With a new Sporty I have calculated the following: + 8795 € Price + transfer costs +all-round insurance per year + workshop costs + winter storage costs For a used one the following would apply: + 7000 € approx. price +all-round per year + workshop costs + possible replacement of old used parts + winter storage costs So, and now my questions: How often do you go to the workshop? Which inspections come to me? (after how many KM?) Which costs do I have to reckon with? Which wear parts must be replaced when Where would you like to buy the Sporty? Privately via the Internet (mobile and motorcycleonline.de, etc.) and then go to the supplier or rather to the dealer? Can you really find bargains on the Internet or do you have to know? Does a new Harley lose a lot of value? I look forward to your opinions and your help. A clueless but thankful future Harleybabe! 🙂

  • Evo Längpendel

Hi, I have a 16 inch front wheel with 130/16/60 and 240/50 on the rear front of my Evo, and from 110 km/ a light longitudinal pendulum is created. How can you fix it? One says to upgrade to 16 or 17 inch front, the other recommends the torque plate or yet a steering damper? First of all, thank you for your idea.

  • Is this offer of a Harley Davidson fair in terms of price?

Hallihallo I greet you! My dad’s birthday is in a few months and I want to give him a very special gift for his 50th. He’s always dreamed of a Harley, but he never had the chance to come to one, who knows why. Now I’ve been looking for a nice machine in search of a great smile on the lips (and no “o my god you’re crazy” smile :-)). Found in the price class that is at my disposal. I have this Harley! But I have no idea at all about moto bikes. Do you think the machine is the right one? Cozy for long rides? Is the price-performance ratio okay? Much is not stated, but it looks good in itself?! I am grateful for your help! If anyone has other offers, please let me know! 😉 Thank you dear forum reader! lg Gabi

  • A new tire fred

Hi guys, let’s ask the cracks among you: …. well, there will be a few more questions …. Moped: FXSTS Have the original MT90B16 74H on the back. First of all the breakdown – as far as I can see (please correct, false!) 90 is width in mm, 16 is the rim diameter in inches, 74 is the load ratio and H of the speed index up to 210 km/h. But what is MT and B? Next story – had asked a while ago what could be built without a new swing. 170 or 180mm should go, as far as I remember. However, the Fender Struds and the laying frame fixture, as well as the Fender, should believe in it. Let the new rim ring be pointed in, adjust, Pneu on it, balance, eat well. I have taken a closer look at the thing before. In the attached picture it can be seen that the tire is installed about 2 cm to the left offset. The distance from the tire to the fender on the left is about 2 cm, to the right about 3.5 cm. On the right I have only about 5 cm, on the left I have about 6.5 cm. Do I have a kink in the optics or what? Is the Pneu rear really offset at a 2001 Softail or is that just an optical story? Would be grateful for information. Sers street-jumper

  • – Is that how you do it?

Hi guys, I signed up for the new event today. I’ve been a guest for a short time and I think the forum is really helpful here. So I thought I’d like to join if it’s allowed. I bought an iron at the end of March. My first Harley. My absolute dream. Black, matt, strong, anyway, I found this in comparison to my two Hondas before (NTV 650 Reverre and Deauville NT 650 V). Now I have enjoyed my sportster 4 weeks, am absolutely enthusiastic het and … she shredded the penultimate Saturday right in the event of an accident. Sniff! I didn’t blame, was a left-wing turner who didn’t want to see me. Was only four weeks old, the good one. Otherwise, thank God not much has happened. bumps, bruises and so on. But all the parts are still there and at once! Now I wait for reviewers, lawyer etc. If there has been the money, I will definitely get a new one. Unfortunately, the 2009 Irons are, according to me’s dealer’s information, completely out. model year 2010 should not be available again until September. Now I torture myself, whether I take another spurster and save the season or whether I make shift for this year and wait for the 2010s. Best regards Sven

  • Buying advice Fat Boy

Hello, you need your opinion… I’m looking for a Fat Boy right now. I’m comming between a Bj 92er, 97er or a 05er. Evo or TC. I’m relatively unneeded in things like Harley Davidson. Where are the advantages/disadvantages Evo and TC? Am I at a 92er more at the screw than at the drive? Is there a Bj that is to be enjoyed with caution? I’m aware that much lies in the “eye” of the viewer and you can’t lump everything together, but just give me your Feedbac k, free from the soul… Thanks and greeting Joerg

  • Mikuni HSR 42 a real improvement?

Hello, since I am currently working on my Fat Boy Bj.: 99 (Evo) with my original carburetor (with Dyna-Jet) adjustment problems, I am considering whether I will save myself the next working hours for adjustment work and add the Mikuni HSR 42. Does this bring a noticeable improvement? Do you really want to keep the original filter for optical reasons (and because of the coal). What do you mean??? Or can you get a good performance from my carburetor and save money? Thank you, Thomas.

  • TC 88 turns extremely high when starting

Hello guys, maybe someone has had something like this before: Today on a tour after approx. 200 km noticed that the stationary gas was slightly higher than usual. I still thought: Maybe the throttle clamps … so first home. There after approx. 1.5 hours (machine was properly cooled down) times joined. Gas train tested: no result. Runs clean, and moves the throttle shaft to stop and back. Adjusting motor for the stationary gas adjustment at cold start also drives correctly. See if the throttle flaps move correctly: Do them. Starting the engine: Engine turns immediately on “full gas” when (quasi) closed throttle flaps (feeling): immediately killed. The engine also started hard, usually the machine is there immediately. In a warm condition even better than in the cold. As mentioned above: TC 88 in a RK from year 2000, i.e. Magneti Marelli injection system. Does anyone have an idea how to circle the error? Can such a symptom by defective injection nozzles occur? Questioning greetings

  • KessTech switch without function

Moin moin, I’m driving a 2019 Sportster Custom. 2in2 KessTech Klappennauspuff is on. I drove today was able to adjust everything. Stopped at the buddy and parked for 30 minutes. Then I started again. I wanted to turn KessTech back on but nothing happened. No LED was on and no response at the switch. Just checked fuses, everything was okay. Also the wiring looks good, at least what I could see today. Where can I start looking? Is there any known Prob leme? Add to this: Three weeks ago I got a KZH side, rear Kellermann 3in1 Bullet and front Mini Flasher. Everything was installed by my workshop. I could read out the error memory, the following was to be seen: BCM Codes B2141 Left front turn signal output open circuit turn signal front left open B2146 Right front turn signal output open circuit turn signal front right open B2151 Left rear turn signal output open circuit turn signal rear left open B2156 Right rea r turn signal output open circuit turn signal rear right open B2161 Brake lamp output open circuit brake light open B2271 BCM low voltage BCM voltage too low After the conversion, however, I have already driven several times and today had a problem for the first time, but only with the KessTech. Everything else works perfectly. Machine goes easy and otherwise no sign of problems.

  • continuous squeaking …

moin, a short question about an event : even when pushing the Sporty one hears a grinding noise and also when driving. Pressing on the belt in the stand one hears a quiet squeaking. When driving of course louder and more extreme. Gives a tip, e.g. spray flush water ? thank you, thank you for tips.
