  • Noise during braking

    Evening colleagues, it can’t be what can’t be… That ne Harley has his peculiarities and special sounds, so fucking What can someone define me more like the following “noise scenery”!? When the front brake is pressed, there comes a very hard-to-describe noise, felt from the cables on the left side of the handlebar…that’s so penetrant that it’s truly impossible to overhear… funny question about a m.E. funny noise…I’ve never experienced that before on a bike… Someone’s idea what that could be!?   • Manifold leaks?

    Moin , at my FXDX TC 88 renewed the Manifold gaskets (Blue James Gasket) trial start was great , I turned it off again , left it standing . Then wanted to drive yesterday . Sprang on with Choke . As soon as you turned off the Choke the engine went off immediately . Then she did not start at all , after about 1 hour she jumped on , then drove her immediately home ~ 5km . Meanwhile she does not go to candles were completely black ( were new ) Got the carburettor run But if you look into the still screwed Manifold, the seal on both sides looks like in the photo, I don’t need to look any further or ?

  • Road King Used purchase Differences Year of construction

    Hello dear Harley friends, I am the Sandro and I am just selling my Fat Bob FXDF to give me a Road King. Now I wanted to ask from which year of construction it is highly recommended or which year of construction would be rather less recommended.? And why? I have a budget of 20 mille possibly 21 but less would of course much prefer ?? and if there are perhaps no big technical differences but for that pricey then it would of course be better to have an older one But technically, it’s absolutely okay. Has anyone had their experiences like this?

  • Engine splints and false ignitions (detonation)

    Servus! Is my first post here and I’m relatively new to the screw. I recently made a little holiday trip with the Harley. Before everything was running round but during that time the carrot is always smeared off because no gasoline was pulled after. At the end, misignitions and engine spree added. Spark plugs were completely rusted and oxidized. New bolted in and noticed that when again expanding a light oil film stuck in front. Engine no longer jumped, because the ignition coil d directly replaced with original parts. When restarting still sparrows and misignitions… so carburettor disassembled and cleaned. Part load nozzle at 29,5 and main nozzle at 72 Now I get but

  • Vibrations Softail Slim 2012

    Hello Together ???Bin a Harley Greenhorn, I am about 1st month a Softail Slim with 103 TC from 2012. So far I am Mega satisfied, but have a problem …. The motorcycle starts to vibrate so from 90 km/h worst, it shakes me right through, as if you were driving over a washboard. It pushes almost the glasses from my nose.From the feeling comes from the rear wheel, the fork does not flutter. At about 130 km/h it gets a little better again. Other speeds have no influence ss, it is purely dependent on the speed. Even a shift of the upper body forward has almost no influence… Does anyone have an idea where I can start here? Shock absorber is set to my weight. VG

  • Primary oil refill on Softail EVO Built 96

    Hello together, I’m the new one 🙂 For two weeks now my buddy and I have been making his Heritage Softail Nostalgica Bj. 96 float again. Running it is wonderful! Now we would like to exchange the liquids all. My previous questions I could answer all about dei SuFu, except for one. I ordered from eightball a complete service kit with all oils and seals. Now I have seen that the new primary oil is actually always about the open-air nun. In my kit, which is intended for the Softail Evo models 1989 to 1999, there is only one seal for the inspection cover. The lady from the order hotline could not tell me whether the primary oil now has to be filled for the inspection opening.   • Slim S jerks at lower speeds

    Had today the 2 year warranty check with my Slim S (110 inch). From the beginning I moored the ruching in the lower speed range, during braking with motor, (under 1500 rpm). So for example at 2500 rpm gas away and only slow down with the engine brake. The first measure was the purchase of a “super tuner” on advice from my dealer, who then adjusted the motorcycle. The effect was that the Slim S had even more power but the jerking didn’t get much less. I was then told by the mechanic that a jerking in the lower speed range would be normal. I then settled down with it until I drove with my brother’s Slim (103 inch) at the beginning of this year, which drove at the same test as described above up to under 1000 rpm as on rails and without jerking. The workshop then tried a lot but without great success. The latest attempt today, the stand gas increased to 1000 rpm. about not so nice with the high stand gas. Therefore my question: has or someone had the same problem. Are there ways to get the jerking away. Thank you for your help!

  • Stuttering, misignition, gas acceptance

    Moin together, I drive a Forty Eight XL1200X from the 2010 BJ and would need your advice…. I bought the bike used in May (23,000km) the first 600km she ran really well but then came my current “problem”. The donkey does not take the gas properly (speed independent) and bangs at the gas give out extreme misfires and stutters like wild. We once changed the spark plugs and put up a new ignition coil…surprisingly she ran really well 200km and now again the same problem. It’s a creeping eagle system and an open air filter on it…I don’t know if the machine has been re-set or any other…. Do you have an idea what it might be? Best regards from HH Buddy

  • FXSTB starts badly

    Hello Fan?, with my FXSTBII Night Train from 2009 I have a problem. This starts very badly. I had the battery last winter on the maintenance charger. In the spring almost nothing went, so I installed a new battery. With booster this jumped on, but it lighted from time to time to the yellow engine control light. Today I cleaned the candles. In the first attempt the moped jumped very well, in the second and third try then worse and now the new one seems Battery to be empty again, it also comes the red battery symbol. What can this be! Either a consumer constantly pulls the battery empty or this is not charged by the alternator anymore. What do you suspect and how do I get closer to the cause? Thomas
