  • Sportsr gear shifter

Servus, I’m now driving an 2019 XL 1200C and I’m interested in shift flaps. I’ve already done a little research and had to find out that there are probably no finished kits for this, but they are mostly self-built. Is that true? Are there no finished solutions for this? What about a decrease? Simply remodeling won’t work, there are no test numbers on it for an own construction or it counts as if I just placed the current system differently, prakti don’t make any structural changes that need a decrease? Thank you very much

  • The SOA patch thing…

Hey dear community… I myself like to watch the series and have recently by chance become aware of the discussion about possible “interest conflicts” that could arise from the wearing of the SOA merchandising articles. Again, the topic has already been discussed extensively, since the last post I have seen is still from 2012 I wanted to ask if actually incidents are already known about this. I mean, now seriously. r the youngest one here and don’t know much about MCs etc. either. But you don’t really want to tell me that I’m being breathed together for this when I buy a SOA vest or even a patch. I always thought cycling is about freedom. If this freedom actually results in inferiority complexes that cause me to muzzle inexperienced hobby bikers, because they show through the public, opposite their affection for a TV show, my “honour” bed Then maybe I should sell my machine again. I can go to Korea just as well and let myself know which hairstyle I can wear… Or am I the one who takes the whole debate as an extremely sad manifestation of a seemingly failed dream of freedom and honor/respect between bikers? MfG, Finn.

  • Have very big problems with gearbox 5 gear FLSTC

Hello first of all, I am at the end with my Latin. I have made a revision with my 5 gear transmission in winter all bearings renewed new switching roller, new switching fork, new switching fork shaft! Also the switching machine has been renewed all fields new and everything set 3 gear and measured after 2 & 4. So that’s what I have done everything for you for information. When I stand at the traffic light from Neutral to the 1 gear switch listens sometimes quietly what is doing but when driving down comes It’s not always like the gang is coming out, the first problem. The 2 problem is when I switch down from 4 to 3, either I have one idle or I can’t turn down it crashes so that you get stomach pain, I turn it up again I’m immediately in 5 gear. I know this is all written now but I’m grateful for every expert council. We want to go to South Tyrol and I see that this will fall into the water. In the middle of advice. ß Günni PS: I’ve been a screwdriver myself for 40 years.

  • Old sportsters are left behind due to fuel loss

Moin together, I have an XLH 1200 XL 1, i.e. a Sportster XL 1200 C from the year March 2001. Verbated is an HD carburettor 08TA E016, 27076-95. It is an open air filter installed, the flap-nauspuff is in position “open” actually almost open. The standard low pressure petrol tap is replaced with a standard petrol tap, the unnecessary vacuum connection is closed, the tank is clean, the petrol sieve is permeable and clean, the petrol flow is at the withdrawn B enzin hose in “ON” and “Reserve” tested and flawless. The ventilation hole in the tank lid is free. The sportster starts with choke, has some misfires until it is warm. Then it runs between 20 and 40 km perfectly and then stops after some misfires. After about 30-60 min it starts again and then runs the next 20-40 km, where the game starts at the front. The misfires shortly before stopping indicate for me that it does not war with fuel. T. Guys, I’ve been screwing since 1980, I know if such an engine has a spark, fuel and air, then it’s running, maybe it’s running like a sack of potatoes, because it’s poorly set, but it’s running. Why is this thing running perfectly for 40 km and then suddenly no more fuel???I’m curious if someone comes up with something. Greetings from Bremen, Martin

  • Harley Davidson Night Train Starter free run doesn’t spin.

Hi, everybody, I’m in despair with the beautiful Father’s Day weather. I’m driving a Night Train built in 2007. Yesterday after a break, she didn’t jump any more. The starter makes the noise as if the freewheel didn’t snap but just turns like that. So a buzz without cracks and stuff. Well, I thought, probably the starter broke. Since I had one at home, I started to unload the old starter and install the new laser. I tried to start to se Hether the new starter now turns the engine. Puster cake, everything was the same. Exactly the same sound. Now I thought that would be a little bit of the starter wreath in the engine. So primary lid down and look. But there was also everything ok. Then I took off the spark plugs and tried to start the engine. Then I saw that the freewheel is coming forward but not turning and thus also can not turn the engine. After the sound the starter spins off He. A very big help to you. 🙂

  • New battery defect? Or other source of fault?

Hello, it all started with the fact that when the ignition started, everything was running out of power (small display & displays) and then the engine started. (Video: https://youtu.be/srEbVwmn0tc ) About 1 week later, the Harley only started at the second start. (Temperature approx. 10-15 ?) (Video: https://youtu.be/ycONANPPQcA ) At the first start you heard / noticed that the engine started but stopped. At the second start it happens again but the engine starts properly. About 2-3 weeks later the engine didn’t start at all and there were only dull noises (I thought… ok battery flatt)New battery: (Motobatt MBYZ16H) I installed it directly and did not charge it (because it says on the package “No initial charge required”).The engine started directly (I didn’t notice anything) and started driving. At about 4 – 5 start (motor bike was not long) it started just like with the old battery. So everything that consumes electricity briefly but the engine started the next day (charged overnight) only at the second start. I measured the voltage and the voltage breaks down from 12.7V to approx.5V – 6V at the first start. At the second start immediately afterwards it drops to approx.8.1V and the engine runs.Did I just have bad luck, with the new battery or do you think it might be something else? The charging voltage is 13.9V (without giving gas, cold start = approx.1350 revolutions) Greeting Finn Forty Eight from 2014 with about 7000km

  • Harley for rent in Mallorca

Moin together, does any of you have experience with Harley rentals in Mallorca? We might want to go there next year for 14 days in May. Getting our own bikes down is too expensive for us, so we thought about rental moppeds. I found a rental so far, the homepage gives however little about conditions etc.. GreetingSBsF

  • Which oil ? Amsoil, Revtech or SYN 3

I want to change the engine oil soon and am not the best for the moped. Harley Davidson Softail Heritage Classic 96 Cui from 2009. At the moment I have the SYN 3 from HD in it and am superior to how it goes on, because the countless opinions on the oil have not brought me any further. I found online the following offers: Amsoil 20W-50 synthetic 1 Gal. = 60,00€ SYN 3 20W-50 partlyynth. 1 Gal. = 80,00€ RevTech MTP 20W-50 synth.1 Gal. = 64,50€ (each with shipping costs) Pr The oils are not so far apart, so the question is now: What is best to recommend ?

  • Harley for beginners

Once again this sad topic, is a Harley (would like to buy a deluxe) suitable for beginners? To this end: I am 42 years old and certainly don’t want to buy the machine to heat around with it. Find that model really great, have some experience with ne 80 ziger (please don’t laugh), I did not drive for nearly 20 years anymore, but of course ready to make introductory courses etc.. I’m not a “screw” and also no lawyer or doctor and honestly, hang me all this cliché I had a discussion last night with a buddy who has been driving for about 20 bikes and then the whole thing sounded like I had to work up over the 125 to 250 and then over the 1,000 to Harley. It was quite eaten up, because I am about 100 years old when I bought a Harley. The arrogant way also got on my nerves. Do not drive 911, but if I give my buddy’s statements back overextended, then si I’m well aware of the risks of riding a motorcycle, had an accident with my moped at the time and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. So, what do you say?

  • Gas train problem Harley Softail Evo Bj. 96

Hello everyone, I’ve already torn the gas train for 4 times!! Have an Ape handlebar with extended gas train. I bought a New Gas Train from Barnett the first time for 60€ and exchanged it. Until it is torn again I thought it was the cheap 20€ handles that were on the moped. Now Original Harley handles New bought and again a New Gas Train. Then it also held for a long time and thought it was cool it was the handles, was not the case. He always snaps at I don’t know what it could be. Can it have anything to do with the train that it is too long or too short? The guidance of the train is fine with the 90 degree arc that is integrated in the train into the gas handle. Please for help… LG Rene
