Moin, has anyone found the ultimate solution against the eternally leaky main shaft on the old 4-speed gearbox? Flow grease does not come in, so I killed the main shaft 4 years ago. Mine is an 81er dome gearbox with 1 1/2″ belt and primary sheet metal. A support for the main shaft has always been there. Because of the replica gearbox: A buddy bought a new Rev-Tech last year, what should I say, it’s pissing again. mfg Miller

Harley Road King loaded into Mercedes V class (in the V class forum)
Moin together I opened up a topic in the Mercedes V class forum where I hope for ideas and help for the above topic. I’m too stupid to create a reasonable link with the IPad. So I copied the browser line. Maybe a mod can do that for me. Or someone can tell me how to do it.http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…ing-in-v-class-load-t5882931.html Maybe one or the other has already stood before the same topic. Unfortunately, I didn’t find it in both forums. At least not for a vehicle which is not so high. I know it is a bit stupid to post the same topic in 2 forums. But if the answers can be placed there, then this entry may be useful for a later search. ( OK, I just tried to justify the double post) Greeting Peter

Fatbob purchase help – many bundled imports?
Hello dear people, as I had already written in my presentation post, I am currently looking for a FatBob – conditions: Not from 2018, no sports machine wants. Year of construction preferably 2014-2017. As far as possible unbasked, however, there seems to be hardly any. After a beautiful bike near Berlin turned out to be a pieced-up USA-Poland-Germany import (it seemed to me that everything was comin’ with the tacho, the different footrests etc; and researches here have then been to me With many ads there are a few kilometers, mostly under 10k, a year of construction around 2014 and then 2 holders. Most of the time they also have some individualizations (seat, exhaust, bags) and no ABS. And then my alarm bells ring again. And these are then not always offers with private individuals but also gladly dealers. Where I could need the help of the community now: 1) What would be from your point of view about a price frame for an unbasked Fatbob? I know it depends on the kilometers. The above-mentioned moved mostly at around 13-14kEuro. 2) Are there experiences with these dealers? a) Nicolaos b) HMC Bikes He probably has UK imports, but seems to be quite serious nevertheless. c) Zweiradgalerie B+B 3) Or then rather the one here for almost new price with 14,5k km? p.s. I like the matt black paint with the red stripe. Even more liked the rust red, but I don’t find it on the market.

Noise during load change
Hello guys, I drive a Heritage Softail Evo Bj. 96. has run about 37tkm. I have the problem that when changing the load, so when switching and when you go rough from the gas, it sounds like if the clutch would slip short. But the clutch does not slip through, without problems and without power losses I can drive 160km/h. But I still installed new lamellas. Didn’t do anything. During the further test, the primary chain, starting rear silencer and clutch rack was beaten. These were damaged because the chain was not tight enough. This would also be renewed. Also the bearing of the primary box was renewed. At the front Pulley everything is ok. What’s still striking is that at the first start, switching in the 2nd gear is very difficult. Only after the first 300-500 m it can be switched. At the work we noticed that the clutch rod in the main shaft was rusty, we made it clean, greased and installed again. Now bin ic My screwdriver said that could be the gearbox. But that’s just a guess. He meant it could have broken the spring. What I still suspect is that I have installed new rims on me. But I didn’t control the escape of the belt. I’m not sure if the belt has to be moved more outwards. Can’t imagine, however, that the belt only causes such noises when changing loads or taking away gas. What could it be?

Cold or warm?
At the end of the year the oil changes are coming up again. I always make the trouble and drive the car warm before I drain the oils. With the engine oil this is certainly also very useful. However, with my Fat Boy Evo I have to dismantle the exhaust to get to the exhaust screw of the transmission oil. Therefore I ask myself whether it is really necessary with the primary oil and transmission oil. The drain screws are in both cases down, maybe it takes time in the cold condition only longer. In a workshop this certainly won’t matter either. Or?

Presentation of future Harley driver (hopefully)
Good day dear forum community, I signed up in the forum because I am currently looking for a Harley and have already found many helpful topics here. And since you imagine, if you join a new community, I am doing this: I am Chris, 42, come from Berlin and actually dream of a Harley since my driving license. I play drums in a rock band, love Metal/Punk/Goth-Rock and am a father – so the nickname should be explained as well The last 2 years I’ve rented a Fat Bob (2016) and a Street Bob (2018). At the moment I tend to be Fat Bob and I’ve already had the experience to get to know a windy importer and his sales arguments. Thanks to the valuable hints here in the forum I didn’t buy. So I’m still looking. I’m mostly not the active advisor, lack of experience, but I like to read with you. VG, Rocking Dad / Chris

Tacho spins and motor also
Hello colleagues, I had a strange experience this afternoon on my way back to the office… Suddenly the tacho needle fell to zero, the gear indicator was gone and the green lamp for the 6th gear went out. I had the same thing a while ago. After a minute or two the tacho worked again. That was the same last time. Normally I would think Tacho has a Macke or a Wackler, check contacts and so… But there was something else: The engine has at the same time also It was normal, as long as I was on the gas, but when I switched down and turned off he threatened to go out. No stationary gas, so to speak. I had to keep the box alive with the gas grip. And then it went out immediately on the company parking lot, too, when I let go of the handle. Not slowly coughingly died, but gas off – paff – out. But the tacho had worked long ago again. Ignition off, again on, tried to start – and it chuckled in idle before itself as if ni So I hope I’m still coming home and I’m not stranded here in the office… Does anyone have a flash of mind what that might have been? The picture in the appendix doesn’t say much now. It was created at about 90 km/h. 2011 Road King Classic.

Would like to screw my 2008 Nightster preloaded and look for all sorts of tips! 😉
Hello dear forum members, I’m thinking about building up my 2008 Nightster (silver/black) with Mini Ape handlebars and pre-sets! But if I look at the price of the OEM parts of H-D, I’m getting dizzy! Is there, due to your experience, footrest systems that are high-quality, capable of entry, if necessary????? and are reasonably acceptable??? Because to leave € 545,– with the friendly, just so that it makes the feet comfortable he have??????? well, so…. Are you very grateful for all tips and sources of supply?? Best regards from Upper Franconia and a nice weekend Bernd

Full insurance Harley
Moin, I would be interested if you also insured your mopped comprehensive. I was astonished how cheap my house and yard insurance insured my Harley comprehensive. Since this should not be an advertising forum, I gladly announce the insurance and the post by PM. Most insurances refuse to insure categorically from a mopped comprehensive. So all the more astonished I was that my insurance at a really moderate tariff my ,yes now truly not t very inexpensive, Harley has insured with an absolutely reasonable excess. Ok, I already drive a few years, but still. So, I would really be interested, did you have your Harley fully covered or am I the exotic exception?
