  • random cylinder failure

My first thought was that the spark plug is broken. So today I replaced all spark plugs and did a test drive. Unfortunately, the problem was not completely fixed. The cylinder seems to get out arbitrarily. If I press the gas train about 1/4 during the drive, I feel as the cylinder runs normally. If I now very LANGSAM continues to span the gas train or give gas the cylinder remains with it. If there is a sudden gas, the cylinder will be left with it. When I have suspended the cooling circuit, some cooling water has run into the spark plug depth (or as it is called = D). After about 30 km the water must have evaporated again, so that no short circuit can arise or? The speed range does not seem to play such a big role, whereby it switches on on the top (approx. 5000) more easily. Turns out, even up to 1100 rpm no discoloration of the exhaust fumes fuel would also have to go to the cylinder anger valves were re-set about half a year ago. Carburettors were cleaned (not synchronised) A spark plug was heavily rusted, maybe that helps.

  • Misignition and lack of power at lower speeds VNT50A

Hello, I recently bought a VN 1500 Bj 1990. Nice part, has been subtly rebuilt. However, now there is a problem, in the lower speed range it does not pull and if you let it roll, then it blows neatly. Therefore, I would explain to the bad suit that it stood for a very long time. In addition, the cracks of the previous owner were changed rather badly than quite, that the empty Louis accessories bags fit. Now however to my question: Could the misfires on the lack of backlogs due to the empty bags? And can also the lack of torque be due to it or do I have to “free” the car first? (the last 5 years maybe 50km per year moved) And finally, how could I create backlogs, I hate to install an original system. (TÜV doesn’t matter) And before I forget, I’ve already read the thread to the bad start of a 98er UN, but this is another problem as it looks and helps me no further. I am grateful for every constructive contribution! Greetings, Timbo

  • (Re-) Beginner – Buy ZR7S, is offer ok and pay attention to what?

Hello. After 10 years no motorcycle anymore I play with the idea to get back on the two-wheeler. I looked on the market without any obligation what there is. I immediately noticed a machine: Kawa ZR7S, 03/2001, Blaumet., approx. 12,000km, 2. Hd, so far very well maintained and no maintenance stump. Stands at the dealer and should cost 2.500.-€ (incl. new TÜV and inspection). Actually I wanted to spend for the re-entry max. 2.000.-€. If I compare something d Is there something special about the model that should be taken into account?

  • Chainset change meaningful?

Hello together, I’m new in the biker scene, i.e. I bought my first bike a little over 3 months ago (Kawa ER5, year 97, a little over 50,000 km). Although I wanted to save until I can afford something “ordinary”, but it was at least a bargain financially. Now to my actual question. The seller said the chain set had been changed at 45,000 km. Well, optically it looks anything but 5000 km running line, no matter…. Now to my question you would be in running should I choose a new chain set (doesn’t cost the world) which manufacturer would you recommend? Thank you for your help. Crimi

  • Er6n sound of pinion since chain change

Good evening love community I had my chain changed for the first time before about 800km from my dealer of trust. The originals had 26500km on it. Now I am at almost 27400km and now have the following problem. From 400km with the new chain I suddenly had a very big noise from the region of Ritzel. I then also reported this to my dealer and I passed by him. The mechanic took the pinion and the chain down again, put everything together again, My dealer said that this is in the normal soundscape of an aftermarket chain and I don’t have to worry about it, because everything was set up optimally. I uploaded a private Youtube video, there you can hear the noise on a screwed-up motorcycle. It sounds like a hissing and the higher the aisle, the louder the noise gets. When driving it almost comes like an an ansau What do you think that could be? He said, if it gets louder he could order a pinion again, because it might be a factory error. I also read that the original pinion is rubberized and the aftermarket is no longer. I know a remote diagnosis is always difficult but maybe the one can help me maybe yet Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMtqF7qBvT0 Thanks a lot in advance Gruss Fabio

  • Polishing the windshield – Autosol?!

Hello, I want a 20 year old windshield, which is scratched and slightly milky again.. Could this possibly work with Autosol Metal Polish? Yes, I know that this polishing agent is intended for metal and that the disc is made of Plexiglas. So please no unnecessary answers. Maybe someone has tried it already. Autosol is just the only polish I have there. Do not want to spend a lot of money on polishing agents, because a new disc “only” 35€ Kos I would also like to hear more good tips.

  • ZX9R BJ 1996 Start-up problems

Hello, I’m new here at the Kawaforum and I want to introduce myself briefly. I’m 62 years old and have been riding motorbikes since my 20th year of life. So far I had 16 different machines, mostly sports bikes, various manufacturers. Among them was a ZX9R BJ 1995 about 23 years ago, with which I was super satisfied at that time. Therefore I bought a ZX9R this year as a souvenir of “old” times, and that is a BJ 1996 in green/white. Is in an excellent condition with only 12000 km. There were no start problems during the purchase, and also not about 4 weeks ago at the TÜV. She wanted to start again a few days ago, but unfortunately she did not give any more mucks of herself. Thought of course immediately, battery is over. New bought and installed today, but unfortunately nothing again. I then dismantled the right handle unit, and see there, pressed on the button and jumped without any problems. Everything assembled again, started again for safety at least 10x, without problems. W Then it was time to take a short ride, but unfortunately only about 200 mtr came, and the engine went off and I can’t start it any more. So I ordered a new starter relay today, hoping to fix the problem. Incidentally, the starter can’t be, since the Kawa has already started today. If the relay doesn’t work, then I’m at the end of my Latin right now, because I’m not a motorcycle mechanic. Maybe someone has an idea, what the may be. Greetings Sigi

  • Front axle GPX 600 R, BJ.94

Hello, I have a question. My name is Ralf and I have a problem with the front axle of my new ( old ) purchased Kawa. I have the following problem and wanted to ask if you can help me further. I added a GPX 600 R, year 94 last month and wanted to mount new tyres for the TÜV. I have a problem with the front tire now. When solving the mother of the axle I noticed that this mother was only wearing a warm hand !!! I have removed the front wheel, which The distance socket and the screw for the tacho are correctly installed. But if I try to tighten the axle with the counterscrew (after I tightened the axle with the counterscrew ) now to tighten the axle nut of the axle, I can no longer turn the front wheel. It is then bombs fixed. But if I only put on the nut with approx. 20 NM, the wheel can be turned clean again. Something jams there and I don’t know what. Do you happen to have an ide e ? It can’t be that the axe nut is only dressed so easily. It would have to have normally around 90 NM. Thank you in advance Greeting Ralf

  • Kawasaki Z750 R Comparison, size, driving fun

Hey guys, I know it’s still a year too early to think about it, but, uh, I have to ask the questions that are buzzing around in my head. And I’m already looking out which motorcycle I want to ride at 18. At the moment I’m driving the Moped WR 125 X, which I like so much and I love to drive it. But at 18 I want to change from the Supermoto to a Nakedbike. First the Honda Hornet 600 was my dream, she has enough Pow he, looks great and yes has just style. Then I saw the XJ6 at my Yamaha dealer and thought Woow, which is just as cool as the hornet, even a little hornier because of the rear. Then I just informed myself on the Internet and yes, both I liked very much. Then I came up with a topic in the jmd. the he6n mentioned. I also liked it totally well^^, I find the Nakedbikes are hammer. I thought I would decide between the XJ6 and the er6n. That’s when I tended still to the XJ6, because of the design, because I find the looks just proziger and the prozige fits just to me, because I am also very prozig, so large and also wider built, unfortunately also thicker^^( but gym does that already). Well I then looked further in forums and so to compare between the two and yes most were for the er6n, because it is a 2 clock and apparently pulls better…. But then jmd mentioned the Z750R, which I googled then, so the 2011er Model and BoOm. I was just going and gone, I could only google this model and watch videos of it in Youtube^^. In addition, this was also higher than the other two, so seat height and also had more horsepower, and is a 4 clock! =)). I knew that I want it when I am 18^^. Now I wanted to ask you what you think of the motorcycles I called and also of the Z750 R. I just thought about one thing very strongly and two things. ar my size. I will be 17 in a month and am 1.88 m tall. That was also a decisive reason why I bought the WR 125 X, because it was just fit for my size. But it is also 10 cm higher than the Z750R. What do you think I am too big for the motorcycle? And does the weight really matter? So I weigh quite a lot^^. I hope you can give me some answers and help me further.
