  • What to do with a Moto Guzzi California II with sidecar

Hello everyone, we have a California II built apart here. It is a team, so with sidecar. Since 1999 unfortunately not moved anymore, because the cardan joint was broken. At first we wanted to repair it – but how life then plays like that – never continued, because various other vehicles came to it. Unfortunately, the sale of the house and thus also the garage in which the Guzzi stands. Thus the question arises, what do we do with it? We also have a lot of fun. Once upon a time try to find a workshop that would accept the project – unfortunately so far in vain. Do you have a suggestion / ideas? Certainly the engine has to be overhauled due to the service life, the cardan joint repaired / replaced and then everything is assembled. The team is of course beautiful, a chic oldtimer when it then drives again. We made with it some holiday rides in the 90s. I would be pleased about your opinions and recommendations. someone is interested, she is from 1988 and stands in 50126 Bergheim. Greetings, Mark

  • V7 Built 2009 Cafe classic upgrade to Alufelge

Good day, the spoke wheels of my V7 Cafe Classic Bj. 2009 start to gammeln (Motorcycle has been under a tarpaulin in the open air for several years, but this year it has become more with rust spots on the chrome). I have the thought to replace the spoke wheels with aluminium or LM rims. Has any of you ever done this before? Fit Guzzifelgen from LM, if these have the same size as the previous rims, does that also fit from the rear axle gearbox? If there ever d would have a tip about suitable, legal and, if necessary, entryable rims, I would be pleased. to the info: I do not need any hints on the topic garage (there is no here) or on chrome plastering agents or that the spoke wheels look more beautiful. (I am aware of this, but it is about corrosion in this case) Thank you for constructive answers!

  • Driver’s seat not fixed

Hello in the round, I’m new in the topic Moto Guzzi. I have a Jackal from 1999 cared for by my friend’s widow. He has guarded you like his eyeball. I got you in 2022 without any problems by the HU at the Dekra. Now the Dekra complains that the driver’s seat is about 1 cm forward and rear movable. On the motorcycle are 2 tintons immersing in the openings in the seat. The rear bracket in the lock also has no limit. Is there anything missing? 2 rubbers that tighten the whole thing he make? Don’t laugh about a probably beginner’s question. Grateful for tips. tommes1960

  • California EV strong pendulum movements

Hello all, I bought an EV about 1.5 years ago and was actually in love with shock. Unfortunately, she has a problem that makes me rather perplexed. From approx. 170 km/h the handlebars commute extremely so that you have to take away gas immediately, my workshop recommended to rebalance the front tire and because it was already older I had the kpl replaced, now the problem has become even bigger and the handlebar and the whole machine now already from 140 km/h extremely into the commuting!!! Mei In his opinion, a workshop has tried everything to visit this and has given up! Does anyone know advice?? L.G. Michael

  • Motorcycle transport

Moin together, I’m going to do a tour in the Alps this year and I’m going to transport the motorcycle on the trailer. What bothers me a little bit is that it’s an open trailer. Could mean that I drive 8 hours through the rain. So the motorcycle, I don’t. Sitting in the car. I’d rather have a rain cover. Not just because of the dirt, but because I basically leave as little water on my moped as possible. How do you deal with it? I would like to have at least one cover over the handlebar and the fittings. Could you tighten it with thinner lashing straps so that it can withstand the wind. Has anyone experienced or tried something? Mistry would also be interesting. I could rule that out. Thanks for your tips. VG

  • California 3 reviews

Hello have since March ne calli3 built in 1993. Visually super but from the technical real disaster. Must say, that the previous owner the calli has apparently only cleaned and polished. I have now done almost all maintenance work like all oils and filters changed. Carburettor cleaned and tank. Gas trains and cross-joint renewed. Electrical and ignition overhauled, wheel bearings changed and much more. I am so slow to vomit. Had previously 650 BMW built in 78 and except for the After that was the BMW junk. My question now finally: How are your experiences with the Calli 3? Is it even possible to make a longer tour with the moped without that out of nothing, any massive problems arise or is it just part of driving Guzzi. Look forward to your opinion and experience reports Gruss Asphaltindian

  • Additional control unit

Hello to you. I drive, among other things, a Moto Guzzi 1200 8V Tenni BJ. 2010. I bought an additional control unit for this motorcycle because I was promised in the description that one could eliminate the famous Guzziloch in the acceleration quite. So it happened that I bought the part. Connected and tried… OK it was not intoxicating. Then I connected a tester to the control unit to understand what changed this additional control unit so. I ch immediately saw that it simulated the outside temperature by at least 20°. So it has 22° air temperature, so it shows me at the tester of the air temperature meter only 0°. Everything else was unchanged! My question: what changes it in the injection when the temperature is simulated to 0° but it has real 22°? That would really surprise me.,…

  • V11, pull gear without coupling

Hello together, after 350 km quickly through the Eifel, almost my left hand failed. Already after 1-2 h drive I could not pull the clutch with pain any more. The rest of the day was torture. An old problem, which clouds the driving fun. Now there are motorcycles, where you can switch without pulling the clutch. That does some electr. component with ignition interruption. Now my question: Can you retrofit something like this? On the V11? Does someone have that? installed? (At least I have read about accessories.) Otherwise I must buy a motorcycle for short or long. Thanks for your tips.
