  • Virago 535 bangs in the carburetor and exhaust

Hi, someone has a tip from you, which could be the problem… I’ve had the Virago 535 for 5 years now and initial banging in the exhaust has never bothered me. Problem is only now, that it has become worse and worse in the course of the years and now after mopping it somehow bangs everywhere, stop in both carburetors and in the exhaust… Gas doesn’t really take it anymore… Ohje… And after the last start, I didn’t get it any more. Is the latter simply to be renewed or should I go to a workshop? Thanks in advance! Is it possible for me to do so?

  • New entry with XV 535

Hello friends! I think I am one of the elders i.d.Round (Bauj.1947) – but I wanted to feel it again – the Croiser feeling. I bought at Ebay 14 days ago in the instant purchase a Yamaha XV 535 Bauj. 96, 15000 km with all the accessories (Pre-deployed footrests – all imaginable leather bags ). The initial bargain turns out now as a babe. 1) The exhaust goes so loud that everyone turns around after me. At my age this is rather embarrassing to me. Can you get there. 2) The engine noise (or rather coming from gearbox) is very loud. So a friend of mine has promulgated my Yami and has also noticed that the noise is very unpleasant and not original. So clear text: When I start the engine and get on the road – nothing abnormal. But when driving. – the loudest when I drive downhill without gas there is a strong “singing” or as one might call this – and that is really unpleasant. m. What should I do? On to the factory town -. I bought this after all – would therefore not like to invest immediately – therefore the request – please report insider – would like to have joy at this machine

  • XJ 600 S Diversion Carburettor. Who has an idea?

Hello guys, my old diversion makes bitches: if the engine is really warm, it doesn’t really take on gas anymore under about 3500 tours. If it’s cold or not quite warm, it runs perfectly. It says so: you drive e.g. with constant speed with 3000 tours, the engine still runs clean, when it turns up slowly then it starts to jerk. But if you tear up quickly, then it runs cleanly. I thought it might be on clinging discs. chieber, isn’t it? Is a uniform pressure carburettor? Or rather a membrane? But then why only with a warm engine? Would be grateful for a few answers…

  • RD200

Since 2006 I am proud owner of an RD200 DX Bj. 1977 with TΓΌv. It is not in the best condition, however, the fun factor is enormous. In the vehicle license is under 5 “Frahrrad M.LB.” Does this mean that it is throttled? and if how? Does someone in the Berlin area know a secondary screwdriver, which can make me the part a little faster? This screwing is not my special area. Greeting BrunoRD200

  • Xj 750 Seca does not start

Salve together, as mentioned above, the good piece does not start. New battery is inside, spark of ignition passes through all 4 candles, gasoline also comes through (witnesses wet). Laser attracts nicely through just want to jump off se se! Machine stood since May this year. Now I don’t know quite further, think already about expanding and cleaning the carburettor but don’t know quite how, is there somewhere a manual or a repair manual to it?! Do you have any idea what I still check or. I am grateful for every advice! Nice greeting BlackFlag

  • Clutch slips through

Hello I have the problem with my Yamaha XJ 600 51J that if you give half the gas the coupling slips through. Now I have already looked around a bit in the internet and found out that it probably is either on the oil or on worn or glassy coverings or on the springs. Currently I use as oil 10W-50 motorcycle oil from castrol I have just removed the clutch discs and for me looks like the coating is not worn yet. Nevertheless I have The following questions now arise for me: 1. Does the oil fit 2. How do I recognize whether the covering is glassy (looks at everything relatively smooth except for the radial grooves) 3. How do I recognize whether the springs are in order? many thanks already for your help

  • a r6 for a beginner with 34ps?

hi community, I have to make my a(b) lobe in the next year, as I will be 18 and as a student I think that it’s easy that the best is to have a bike because you have less maintenance costs than with a pkw and a bike makes much more fun than gucking around with a car I wanted to save for a rj11 06 but then I thought you got an older and good ride is so long until you got on it and then the 34ps by ne 98ps(or what that is about the spin) he I’d like to try it out and drive with more power again more carefully and then if I had the right control I’d like to try it out. I think that if you put yourself on the frieze don’t get up so bad and keep driving nice if nothing special happened and if then a nice visit inside workshop otherwise it’s nothing and that I would like to continue driving in the condition (in the repaired course) because I have some experience in painting that would also be n I’m so bad if the bike gets a scratcher it wouldn’t be good for a beginner? that’s what I thought, I just love super sportsmen and something else well.. unless you have a better 600 or something for me in the way that is more appropriate for a beginner. I thank you already in advance mfg

  • Purchase decision R1 or R6

Hello together, I am about to get a R6 (2008) or a R1 (2007). Both would have to be throttled to 34 ps since I made my driver’s license first. Of course I have already asked myself a bit. Both motorcycles are problemless to throttle on 34 ps and do not harm the motorcycles either. My question is: Is the R1 still too violent for the beginning even in the throttled state? In my opinion, not because I have much less performance due to the throttle And after 2 years when I can pull out the throttle, I regret that I don’t have the R1. Another question that is still appropriate would be: Do I have more fun with the R6 because it is more handy or is it not so with the new models anymore? From driving fun and handling both of them are almost the same? Or are there worlds in between? What experiences do you have compared with the two motorcycles. Greetings and thank you in advance for your opinions.

  • Beginner with R1 2007 Bj.

Hello together… I had to buy an R1 2007 year of construction between January and March at the same time with my driver’s license. Alternatively, there would be a R6 2007 year. I know that the topic was discussed here 120238232893 times, but I am looking for people in this forum who have also started with a “newer” R1 and can report about it…. Even after discussions with dealers and drivers I have mostly heard that it would not be soooo big difference. The 1000er brings you a tick faster to the finish, but brutal are of course all for a beginner… also in terms of acceleration and driving behavior does not soooo much for the beginner. Is there someone here who has just got his driver’s license and started with a big machine? Who has tips for me THANK YOU!

  • Driving R1 throttled

Hello you! πŸ™‚ Be 18 at the beginning of next year and want to buy my first “BigBike”. I have already driven 125 and several larger machines (on closed off terrain), so a little experience (30tkm) is there. Now I checked with all the surrounding motorcycle dealers. Since it will be a used machine due to the money (insurance etc. come also!), I decided for a Yamaha R1. Year of construction from 2004, there are nice parts on Mot oscout. Also a friendly dealer made me an offer of 450€ including throttle construction and 1 complete inspection after 1000 kilometers of mileage. So my question … … what do you think throttled from a R1 to 34 hp? I know that the R6 would be more suitable for this, so it would only bring more power. However, I would like to drive this motorcycle for the next 10 years, and there should be as much power as possible. would be, but a few PS more are always good πŸ™‚ Thank you!
