But I have fueled petrol again today, so it’s not (more) too much engine oil in the tank. But now my carburettor setting doesn’t fit. However, the setting should not be so decisive that it doesn’t start. In addition, it starts up to an hour after driving on its own. So as long as it’s still warm. The warm helps the engine to start, but the scooter never stands cold. The cold is also not the reason I think. However, it may be that the petrol in the hose vlt runs back during the service life and does not get gassed when kicking or with e starter. Many conjectures and ideas. Motor goes off as soon as the side stand is outside
Good day, my machine has problems with the side stand from time to time. I know only two systems with side stand, once the first gear is inserted automatically. (only from hearsay had such a thing never) and when the first gear is inserted the motorcycle goes off. My motorcycle does not start at the moment when the side stand is outside. If the engine is already running and no gear is inserted, the machine goes off immediately when the stand is folded out. There is a problem that bothers me little. You have a main stand, but I want to fix it of course. Does anyone have any suspicions? I can’t believe that the switch is a defect, because it only works wrong in itself. Can someone help me there? Virago XV 535 after removal of throttle still no power
Good day, so slowly I despair at my Virago. It starts and runs perfectly in the stand. However, it usually reaches only 100kmh and has no power at a certain speed. Yesterday, during a test drive, she drove but suddenly much faster (170kmh) and also had full power with relatively many misignitions occurred while taking away the gas. When I wanted to test another lap, she ran again only 100. Before these two tests, I had the membranes a built and tested in the light, whereby I had forgotten one of the large springs when assembling (which are the responsible ones?). When I had then installed the spring again it ran also once a little faster but this was only of short duration. Now it runs unchanged 100 and does not come to the maximum speed in coupled condition (under load). The spark plugs are new the ignition system was measured recently and the air filter is apparently only a tube under the chrome lid rec hts. Since I don’t know if I should take the whole carburetor apart now or it’s just a problem of attitude I thought, I’ll ask here. I wanted to go to a workshop, but all around there are no dates available until May 10th. Maybe someone from you near Kiel or Eckernförde who could help me? Could also drive some more routes.

Hello again, I tried to implement the information from yesterday. I had the carburettor down! Due to the K+N air filter I cleaned the intake noise damper. That was full of gasoline. Where this came from is creepy to me! The strange thing is that the machine with pulled choke gas accepts. Consequently I read the information from yesterday again and tried to adjust the idle mixing adjuster. In the manual there is something of 2 revolutions. There is of course per gas. r such a adjuster. Unfortunately, I did not get the information anywhere, whether I have to turn the screw further in or further out in order to get a fatter mixture. I think that the ratio of air to petrol does not match! If you can help me, then blow me with information too. You can never get enough and maybe another also needs corresponding information.

Hello, at the risk that there was already a contribution to this (which I did not find by search), I would like to collect here the – possibly – existing innovations of the 2018 model. At first glance I see an additional third light above the main headlights and a thus slightly modified wind deflector. In addition, I am concerned with the question whether the later remote throttle of an almost new machine could have a negative effect, because the insurance costs without throttling are enormous – with, in my case, they fall to about a third.

Yamaha xs 360/400 hangs when turning up and goes off idle
Hello dear Yamaha friends After changing the piston rings, new capacitors and ignition coils my xs 360 runs quite well again.There are only 2 problems, maybe someone had similar or has an idea what it might be. 1) If I turn up, it hangs on about 6500/7000Tours.In this “hole” it hangs so about 5 seconds, then it turns Hurtig further to the red area.Could it lie on the fly force adjuster ?? And if yes,how do you notice wear or defects there ?? 2.Si After 15-20 sec .sometimes even after a minute it goes off abruptly, without misignition or similar, it just stops as if you had turned off.Of course, it usually goes off exactly when the traffic light just turns green-especially nerfig. I have already turned out the idle mixing screws further, but does not bring anything.If you turn up the stop knurling screw on approx. 2000 tours, it goes then but then it runs 20 sec on 3 or 4000 Tours until the speed goes down to 2000 and motor brake and switching is not really good, because the speed stays too high for the first time. Hello guys, I’m new to this forum. I received an XJ900 EZ June 1987 from a friend a week ago, because I bought it for him and he can’t drive his machine anymore for health reasons. This has not been running for about 10 years. So oil changes made, brake fluids changed, new battery and a few other little things too. Carburettor removed, opened and cleaned (brake cleaner). Built-in, started, ran. There were while driving some Gas acceptance problems. Arrived at home (about 5-10km driven). Petrol ran out. Carburettor removed. Floating conditions changed (so that they close rather). Air test with the mouth: passed, the floats seemed to close in tilted condition. Probably connected to the tank (outside the motorcycle). After only a few seconds gasoline flowed out of the two openings of the carburettor on the air filter side. I also tried to expand the floats, but the small ones What is your opinion?
