  • Aisles go in very badly

Hello, after an engine complete overhaul and reassembly I have followed. Problem (do not know if this already existed before): The first gear goes still pure but the switching process from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3, etc. is a torture, the gears always jump out direction idle or do not grip. I have to switch the gears best without coupling and then hold the gear lever to the top with the foot still for a short time then they stay in it sometimes. So however, you can not drive, has jmd. an idea ? Thank you. (The DT has 20,000 down, gears and gear forks look perfect.)

  • Yamaha DT 250 MX – Change steering head bearings

Hi, has to change the steering head bearing at my DT and would like to dismantle as little as possible at the fork bridge. Sure, the handlebar and so on but you can somehow hang it on the ceiling so that you don’t have to dismantle the handles and trains. You should get the upper fork bridge separated and then pull the lower one out without the fork bars down? Supposedly the lower storage shell goes off very hard. Can you warm it with a hot air dryer that you can si e can pull off better ? With my DT still ball bearings with individual balls are installed and now is converted to cone roller bearings. Another additional question. I would like to free the fork from the old oil and possibly also Simmeringe exchange. Fork is still tight but has a little game (knocks minimally and does not dip softly) if you pull the Bremese and push firmly forward. Should I disassemble the fork completely or if I can pass the oil over the degraded R ear through the upper large screw and lower drain screw run out or pump out ? Thanks in advance. Greetings, Frank

  • realistic price rd50

hello people, I currently have the opportunity to get to a rd50 in white/blue. I personally see the price as ok, but now I want to know from you what a realistic price is for a rd50. I don’t have a lot of information about the device. tank clean, motor spins, shy find, seat unfortunately torn – must be new for years and must be overtaken. before I say the price now I would be interested in what you consider realistic. thank you and lg

  • Switching noise at the XSR900

Hello to The Motorradgemeinde! Last week I was in South Tyrol and had to find out that the XSR is extremely loud when putting in gear. It makes a sneezer that it is to fear. What optimal oil for the clutch would you recommend. I have now filled one of the specification of Yamaha corresponding oil the manufacturer is a not known to me however. Seller it should be a shell oil. However, I am happy with these noise scenes spec. if I in the 1 . Gear does not switch. has someone experience with another oil the price is in this case incidental to me is important that the clutch does not break due to lower oil quality.

  • Brand new R7 demolished at full braking, what to do?

Hello together, as a layman I need your advice. I bought a new R7 last week, is driving great. Since I want to improve and develop as a new rider in motorcycling overall I wanted to practice danger braking last week. Unfortunately I took the last time too hard into the brake and made a departure forward. The motorcycle was already standing still at the time, therefore nothing happened to me. Since it fell on the side without me however, ha For me as a layman it was clear that the brake is bent, the lining, the exhaust, the mirror and the handle is scratched, as well as the blinker is broken. I brought the machine to the dealer so that he can look at it more closely. I was told the following is damaged: – turn signal – mirror – disguise + holder – exhaust – fork (replacement required) – brake pump (replacement required) – handle (replacement required) – Possible Felge This was the impression of the master after the first evaluation. I have a cost estimate created and can give an update to it. Since the machine is fully cascade insured and new, he says, I have a claim to a new machine with the insurance and should do it, because it is new (2 weeks registered and 850 km of mileage). I wanted to get the opinion of people who already have more experience with motorcycles. Would it be so unfavorable if I how would you proceed? I hope you can give me advice. Thank you in advance! Best regards Busan

  • Yamaha Wr 125 X won’t start!

Hello, I drive a wr 125 x and have not driven it for a few months now. Now it is no longer running and when I wanted to turn it on about 2 months ago it ran, but a day later not anymore. In the time it was very cold, so I thought it was because of it. Now I have built in a new battery and it still does not start and when the starter is working everything smells like gasoline even after a short time. The engine has had problems before but now it jumps I tried to start her in the first and second gear but without success, she runs on for a short time and then goes straight out again, besides, she hardly picks up any gas and when she takes a bit of gas, she goes straight out. Does someone have a tip and knows if it’s something else besides the engine. I checked the spark plug, it’s as good as new. Mfg

  • Sporadic ignition oscillators / jerking in lukewarm condition

Hello together! I’m new here and I think I have a complicated/mysterious question… .. Last year I had a big customer service in a free workshop. This included: setting valve play, ignition plugs change (iridium), oil change, air filter change and a few more little things that belong to it. After the workshop visit came the holiday. After about 700 km my Yamaha FZ1 N year 2009 started to stutter without ABS. I arrived the mountain (pass) unfortunately n I had to stop the vacation. The workshop checked a few things. It is called in the fault memory, ignition oscillating Zyl. 1. So we switched the ignition coil to Zyl. 4 to see if the error wanders with. Mistake was gone for the first time. Now I have the problem that the motorcycle in lukewarm condition jerks briefly (Zünd oscillating?), but after approx. 300 m the phenomenon is gone and then comes no more. And in the motorcycle own error memory is also nothing more h I honestly don’t know what else to do or what to do.. ! The workshop has no concrete answer for me either. Do you have a advice / tip for me on this? I would be very happy about answers / ideas.

  • Buy Yamaha R1 RN67 used?

Hello, I’m currently looking for a used Yamaha R1 (RN32 or RN67). Unfortunately, there aren’t many on the market at the moment, but I’ve found a machine now. It would be a RN67, first registration 02/2022 with about 6000km of first possession. The R1 is sold by a dealer, which is why I would have 12 dealer warranty on the machine. The problem is only the previous owner has not serviced the Yamaha in a professional Yamaha workshop but in a free workshop. Now I wanted to ask in a few forums if I should better leave my fingers off the machine or consider the R1. Would I be pleased about a feedback.

Hello, since I always look around for a slightly more powerful alternative to the Transalp, I came across the BT 1100 by chance. Since this is attested in the tests known to me a seat suitable for socius, I would be interested in the experiences of owners of this machine. Our driving profile – 95% for two on the road, day tours between 100 and 300 km, rather comfortable to normal speed, mostly in the Black Forest and the Vosges on the way (i.e. mountains and K urven). Basically I am satisfied with the transe, but I miss some power when overtaking in the Sozius operation or a luxuriant torque. According to the data, the BT would have to fit here a little better. How are your experiences there? Would it be suitable for our purpose? Is its suspension also suitable for third-order roads? What about a topcase? Is there a luggage bridge to buy for this (always only seen side suitcases at her)? Greeting Frank
