Hello dear motor-talk friends… My first post here in the forum after the search function and all the other posts didn’t help me… I need your advice: At the moment I am proud owner and driver of a Yamaha FZR 600 3HE 91 PS BJ 1991. However, it has been causing me grief for a few days: every time I give gas comes from the bottom left, I guess in the height of the alternator a knaksen. I have therefore removed the alternator cover and pulled the rotor from the crankshaft and found that oil is to be released from the bearing which should keep the light mesh space “dry”. Speak the bearing that holds the crankshaft. But someone must have already botched it before because it was smeared over black “??Silicone??” for sealing. My questions now: Can it be that the bearing is broken? I always thought the bearing was a make grinding continuous noise when they go hops. But since the noise is a snap and only occurs at 2-4 thousand revolutions with load / gas, I thought it could be just as well somewhere else. Is such a case known to you? What do I have to do to fix it? Which parts do I need? Hopefully you can help me… I don’t know any more advice…

Yamha 535XV Vmax ?!?
Hello I’ve been driving my father’s Virago since March because he doesn’t like to drive any more anyway. The möf should be built in 2000. In the car bill she has 25kw and is supposed to bring a final speed of 140. So far I haven’t been on a dynamometer yet but either she has less than 25kw or the Vmax is not registered properly because the 140 will bring her possibly only downhill with vieeel tailwind. 120 are on a straight well in but 140 are probably hardly registered . The version is probably throttled by smaller inserts in the suction nozzle. I found nothing in the exhaust I have burnt out before after about 14000km. I also have the feeling at speed 120 that the Möf likes faster but can not because it can not get more fuel to drive faster. So probably the throttle intervenes. Nevertheless, I find it annoying when 140 is in it that it brings only 120. Does anyone have an explanation for this ?

R6: Blue or black?
Hi together I will order a new 2005 R6 in just a few days. The blue and black models will be considered. A definite decision has not yet been made. I am interested in your experiences in terms of color blue and black, especially in terms of safety, cleanliness etc. You know what I mean. Or is all this more a question of your own taste? Gruss christian PS: My first contribution to the Yamaha division; move me otherwise more b an Audi…

Price negotiation
Hello together, if I will buy my first motorcycle in the summer, probably an R6, I think about whether you can push the price better at the dealer or just at a private man! What do you think, where can you rather push the price? Greeting Philipp

r6 34 hp or rs 125 open ?!
Hello, I am in possession of the driver’s license A-limited this year and am thinking back and forth about what should be my first bike. I can’t decide if I should drive directly correctly, i.e. a R6 throttled or even cheaper, just the RS 125. What do you recommend to me? I mean, of course, the RS, where the power weight is right! Greeting Philipp

Sound R6 throttled
Hello, wanted to ask if it is possible to give full throttle on a throttled R6 to 34 hp in the zero-speed, so that you can reach 14-16 throttle UPM or can you only turn it up to 8000 or so because they are throttled? How does it look with sound at the 34ps 600er otherwise? Should sound like an open or do I see this wrong? Is it nice to stand at the traffic light and to annoy the people at high speeds, or !?!?! Thank you for the answers, Philipp

FZR 600 Carburettor failure and start problem
Hello, I have just proudly acquired an FZR600 this weekend. However, it is difficult to start at the moment. If it is cold, you always need many attempts, and I also have the feeling that a cylinder is not running at all at the beginning. At least not with stationary gas. The seller told me that he had left it for 1.5 years and had not shut it down technically. By this I mean that the whole time was fuel in the tank and the carburetors. He says that the carburetors now smear Is that right? Is it likely that this is the reason? Thx and Greeting, TheAim

XJ 600 Engine problem
Hello! A few months ago, I got the little glow (A begr.) and a 2000 XJ600S. Since one of my car-riding fellow citizens forced me to complete braking in the middle of a curve, I made it long at the end of November. Not much happened, disk off, mirror in the A… , turn signal and a few smaller scratches on the panel. (all on the right) Now to the actual problem: I cleaned it again today to the moth again thoroughly and wanted to clean it afterwards a few minutes So far so well, it ran… but in between I had to realize that the right Zyliner (No. 4) did not get warm (or only hand warm) while the rest heated nicely. Also I noticed afterwards that all the curved (except for the 4th) were hot. So I guess that the cylinder didn’t run. -What can that be? -How can I find the mistake as a beginner? Oh yes: As a student I am always for possible hst cost-effective suggestions to have… 😉 If it has to be, but then rather specialized workshop… I have no idea at all… So may someone feel called to help me… Thanks already in advance!

Topspeed R6
Hello guys, I am proud owner of an R6, first registration 6/2004, and new here in the forum. I wanted to ask what the R6 brings in the final speed. According to papers it is registered at 260 km/h. Since I am still relatively new in the business, I wanted to take some time with the top speed driving myself. In addition, I am a bit irritated, which should really get my R6 to refuel. I read in various magazines that normal is fuelled; from the dealer is me has been said exclusively super, which is why I do. Greeting wolfi R6
