Hello ! Would you like to switch from Audi to DC. But I get 15% discount on the disabled due to my handicap at Audi/VW. Does DC offer something similar ? Ford, Volvo, Renault etc. have such special discounts in the program, since DC would have to join in, or ? The E-Class T model would already appeal to me as a cared-for Audianer. Gruss Olaf

Ideas about car adaptations in mobility restrictions – what should car manufacturers work on?
Good day, I am a student at the Technical University of Munich and am currently involved in a project of the Chair of Technology and Innovation Management, in which we are looking for technical solutions that can make driving for people with physical limitations easier or more comfortable. Meanwhile, there are a variety of ways to adapt cars with the help of technical upgrades to certain mobility restrictions. I would be happy to get to know people who share this view through this forum. I am looking for people who are affected by physical restrictions while driving and have therefore developed ideas to upgrade something to your car. In addition, you have an interest in advancing the technological innovations in the field of car adjustments in cooperation with the Technical University of Munich. If you would like to contact me on this topic and share your visions and concrete ideas on car conversion with us. Best regardshttp://www.tim.wi.tum.de/

Refusal of guarantee for disabled persons
I have been driving a VW caddy for 2 months. Driving performance approx. 2000Km. On 8.9.2012 I had a breakdown in France. The brakes blocked. The VW mobility guarantee is not worth the paper on which it is written! Without the ADAC I would still be sitting in Lorraine. On the telephone of the VW mobility emergency call no one was to be reached on this Saturday. One only heard the announcement: All seats are occupied, call them again in a few minutes. drama 2nd part: The car came to a VW workshop, where the damage was examined. VW rejects the warranty because the vehicle was disabled-right rebuilt. The handheld device Zawatzky-RS and the intoxicator loader S2. The induction or conversion was carried out by the company Rausch. Why was I not informed by VW, nor by Rausch about the loss of the guarantee during conversion? This is clearly a serious failure. Also other conversion companies mentioned with no syllable, In the event of a conversion, the guarantee will be partially extinguished, so anyone who has to have his car remodelled should know that he is losing the guarantee, possibly in full!

Left lower leg prosthesis driving test at the TÜV necessary??
Hello 1 year ago and 7months ago I had a traffic accident with a motorcycle and here my left lower leg had to be amputated. Therefore I now wear a lower leg prosthesis after this time. So far we still had our old car with manual gearbox, that I can no longer drive. reason, because I have no feeling for the clutch and it is dangerous to me here. So so far only my wife has driven with the car. 2days ago I bought a new car, the n I have no problems with the automatic transmission, because my right leg has no restrictions or problems and I don’t have any problems with the rest of the body. So I only have the problem with the left leg, which is not required with an automatic transmission. According to legislation, I don’t need a fitness test at the TÜV abso Since you are always obliged to drive where you do yourself and others not dangerous. That is also given with me with the automatic transmission. However, it is always better to have this test done so that you could not have any problems later in case of an accident. What would you recommend to me and has someone ever had such a test done? What costs is this? Greeting Gero

Question for sale or scrapping
Hello and good evening I would have a question in this section Some time ago a very nice couple died in my neighborhood within a very short time. As relatives there is only one sister of the lady who lives in France. Since this lady is already quite old and could not come to Germany and we can take care of the dissolution of the rented house. To use was actually nothing we disposed of the whole house. Now we have another Since the lady was tied to the wheelchair, the man had bought a used disabled vehicle. It is a Opel Sintra 2,2 16V which was converted for the transport of a wheelchair. One can lower a ramp in the rear so that one can easily drive a wheelchair in. It is no longer the most beautiful, the ignition lock and the starter are defective. Otherwise the car is probably still in order. Do you think that one can repair the car and chew it at a fair price Is it possible to reduce the cost of decontamination and to send some money to the sister in France? Or is he supposed to find the way to the junkyard? I don’t want to earn anything but I would be happy if I could do something good to the old lady! Give me some advice! MfG Drago

Disabled people benefit from the scrapping premium ???
The scrapping premium is now on everyone’s lips. It is sold as the success of the media. My opinion is disabled people do not benefit from it in any way. A disabled person who is already about 10 years old his car and decides to buy a new car or to buy a new one with a cost carrier due to the age. With the cost carrier the scrapping premium would count on the subsidy of up to 9500 €. Manufacturer the cheap small cars a offer are in the rarest cases suitable for the above-mentioned group of persons. 1. How do you think about the scrapping premium ? 2. Is it a great thing especially for disabled people ?

Off- Topic- Disabled Car Driving
Dear readers of this forum, I am addressing a question to you/uch, to which I have not yet found a (qualified) answer on the web: I have been paralyzed since an accident, I have a correspondingly converted vehicle in which despite switching to manual operation theoretically gas and brake can also be operated by foot. When I was on the road with a former friend abens and it was about the topic “home driving”, we actually got tired, whether my girlfriend as a nich Is it possible for a disabled person to drive a disabled person with my disabled person’s converted vehicle, legally speaking? She would have no problem having all the physical skills to safely control the car. But can she do so too? Can a disabled person drive a disabled person’s converted car? And even if I am sitting next to it? Or is it a /no problem in general? Conversely, the situation is also legally clear, but can the reverse be drawn from it? because if I should have a friend who doesn’t have a car (and not like me sitting in a wheelchair), that would affect him too… I really look forward to answering my question and thank you for the opportunity to exchange views here in this nice forum, Lisa
