  • More sound for the R 1200 R – how?

Hello, since last autumn I have been driving a BMB r 1200 R. I’m still excited about this inscrutable thousandsassa! – With a small limitation: sound-wise it is rather discreet. Drive the original (chrome) end pot. Does anyone have experiences with exchange pots? But they should also be beautiful (chrome) and fat (large) from the shape.

  • Oily foot

Hello, I’m completely new here. And the problems or questions start right away. I’ve tried the candle hole with new seal some times already, or also a seal plus seal mass, but I always have a slightly oily foot, especially when it went tighter through the landscapes. Oil level is ok, everything else funtioniert impeccable. Think already slowly of a hair crack?! Who is it similar to Thank you

  • BMW G 650 GS from 2008 = BMW F 650 GS from 2007?

Hello dear motor-talk user, I want to buy the days a motorcycle and my choice has already fallen on the BMW F 650 GS. Today I was at the dealer and he has an F 650 gs from 2007 with 32,100km there are with full equipment (complete suitcase, heating handles, hand guard, main stand, crash bar, handlebar lift, warning turn signal, tank backpack and high wind shield, and of course ABS) however I know whether almost 33,000km is a lot for a motorcycle since I am completely new in the motorcycle world. Then he has another G 650 Gs from 2008 look the same and he means that is the same only a re-import, which has 3500km on it and except for ABS and heating handles nothing. the price difference is about 900euro and now I know which one to take. And what is the difference between G 650 and F 650? Oh yes maybe I should say that the f650 had four previous owners and the g 650 only one. Greetings from the sunny south Daniel

  • Driving licence

Hi.. I am just 18 well and besides my car (GTI ) I still bock on a motorcycle and only one thing comes into question, in addition to that. Have now my driver’s license and have heard something with regulation at 180 km/h?! Is that true or is at the same time also the PS throttled? Because would I then get a S 1000 RR or CBR 1000 RR tend more to the S 1000. A smaller motorcycle does not come into question because I do not want to spend twice. Before a fear I knew no The CBR 1000 RR drove on the Spreewaldring for a day last year… And still something had not a scooter driver’s license for the car (with 17) and thank you already

  • Newbi performance and the R 800 GS

Hello World. I am new to you in the motorad area and hope that I will stay a little while. I’ve been on the road in the VW area for a few years, this year I made the motoradschein. Now I would like to get a rideable underset on two wheels. Since I have been in my head in a two years Iceland, the selection of the maschies is very limited. The following candidates were eligible for me: R 1200 GS Adv. R 800 GS KTM 990 Adv. Honda AT 750 More ode I tend less to the F 800 GS, because it does not cost as much as the R 1200 but can do much as well as the big one. Now I have discovered an F 800 at our BMW dealer, which is very appealing to me. First registration: February 2009 Capacity: 798 ccm Capacity: 63 KW (86 hp) Kilometer level: 9.700 km Segment: Enduro/Funduro Drive: Chain Dealer guarantee: 12 months ABS, heating handles, on-board computer, main stand, fall iron, theft warning system, windshield, 1st hand; aluminium case kit, aluminum engine protection, Lamp protection, radiator protection, rally footrests, handlebar lift, luggage bridge, ready for long-distance travel with TKC 80 purchase price 9500€ I looked at it today, I can’t discover anything negative. Everything to start in the distance. What do you say to the offer, can you buy it? What do I have to pay attention to at the motorad? For your help thank you in advance. Greeting Marko

  • some questions about the R100R and others

Hello Motor-Talk BMW Motorradcommunity I am now a motorcycle novice and I made my (limited) driver’s license last November. Now after the start of the season the question of the right kit arises, and the 4 choices that I have made among other things could not be more different. That’s why I now have some questions about the R100r, which is to say the “complicated” entry. I mean, I drive a completely uncomplicated almost daily I’m not sure what I’m looking for, but I’m not sure what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a car that I’m looking for, and I’m looking for a car that I’m looking for, and I’m looking for a car that I’m looking for. I’m looking for a car that I’m looking for, and I’m looking for a car that I’m looking for. ewessen Nostalgiewert has (despite that it was built in the 90s) and allegedly despite certain diseases (gears apparently) is half-reliable. Now only the question arises, to what extent a R100r is suitable for a beginner (with 34 HP) Here in my circle of friends is the overwhelming opinion honor that such an old motorcycle would overwhelm me (car and engine technology outdated, far too heavy, bad handling, blablablabla etc.) Now I just wanted to get a second (dri hte, fourth, fifth etc.) Opinion here times in the BMW driver community get PS: I have no screwdriver training, am interested and do some things on the car itself. I am grateful for every subjective and objective opinion

  • BMW R850R Question about the circuit???

Hello !!! Have a general question about riding a motorcycle to the professionals here. Take the driving licence class A(u) (motorcycle) on the BMW R850R for a short time and wanted to ask if what my instructor tells me is also true because I don’t know any experiences with other motorcycles. And I have to switch down each step individually with the BMW R850R, is that what I think with all motorcycles. But do you have to switch down the clutch for every gear as well??? drive 70 km/k in 4.speed, now I see from the distance that the traffic light jumps to yellow, e.g. that I have to stop immediately. So now it comes. At our riding school motorcycle I have to do volgendes now. Pull the clutch into the 3.speed, release the clutch (coupling in), pull the clutch 2.speed (coupling in), pull the clutch 1.speed in. All this the problem is you can not switch two gears down with pulled clutch is that with all motorcycles so? All that I mean is e.g. I ride 70 km/h in 4th gear and see the red traffic light bez. I have to stop immediately. Then you could pull the clutch and switch the gears down with pulled clutch 3.speed,2.speed,1.speed and Finish… Can you always switch down only 1.speed and then you have to recouple or how??? Mfg

  • BMW R 100 R – Express piston bolts to change shock seals.

Hello, I recently bought a R 100 R (built in 1992) and there are of course a few small things to do. Basically I know the technology of motorcycles very well and I also passionately like to screw on motorcycles (where I put a lot of value on a clean work) – however this is my first BMW (but was always enthusiastic about the old BMW technology). Since the shock rod seals on the engine block lose oil, I want this erledi I have already read some comments on the internet (it seems to be relatively easy to walk), but I could not find one so far – if I leave the piston with the rings in the cylinder and have to remove the piston bolt to change the O-ring at the cylinder foot – how tight is it normally. Can it be pushed out easily by heating, for example, or a piston bolt printer is required (I don’t want to crook afterwards either). Since I don’t own this imprint (it always worked like that), I would buy it before the repair starts – but of course only if the bolts are normally fixed. I have already looked on the internet and there are hardly any offers. If I need the bolt puller – someone has a tip here, where you can get it cost-effectively (but should already be a little good). Furthermore, I would be interested in where I have the safety rings for the Kolbe nbolzen can buy separately (would not like to use the old fuses). Can you buy these individually? Would be great if you could give me a tip here. MfG Harald

  • Re-entering, just what moped?

Hello municipality, am new Here with you bikers! I plan to get back into the motorcycle world, and need some info and tips! My idea is the R 100 r Mystic! I find this bike simply beautiful, unscrupulous and discreet naked bike! A 2 valve boxer without a lot of Tam Tam and 60 Ps completely enough for me! Unfortunately I don’t know myself with BMW bikes! Had made my rag on a R65 in 1990, and the boxer was somehow “culty”, however, only Japanese of me were I was still young and needed the money! Now I would like to drive a BMW, it should be reliable and suitable for everyday use! Unfortunately, my financial budget is a bit lean, so more than 600€ stones I can not loosen! What does your pros think about it? I would be happy if you could open my eyes to see if my project can be realized!

  • What’s sealing your neck off? Get wet on BMW Tour!

Good day, ladies and gentlemen! my name is Jakob, I am 18 years old and I have been riding a motorcycle for 2 years. So far I thought my clothes were waterproof. On the weekend I drove 7 hours through productive, continuous, strong rains. Upon arrival at the destination I was soaked to the bone – the water stood in my boots.. All equipment is equipped with goretex compaction, I guess it ran in between helmet and neck. I wore a scarf, many The water sucked into the cotton and was passed on as if by the perforation of a sponge.. I can’t explain to myself that with the boots.. For all those who know what it was like with neoprene shoes after being in the water.. exactly that’s how it felt. So I would ask you to post your suggestions, which will seal my neck, if necessary with an exact article. I thought of a kind of storm hood that goes under the neck and under the jacket. My truest sense of the word is a hood against storm, what I am looking for..! smooth greetings from Nordhorn in the county of Bentheim! Jakob
