  • BMW RT 100, Built 88

Hello my father drives a BMW RT 100 and for some time the watch has been defective in the cockpit. The remaining electronics work perfectly. Does anyone know what that can be?, or how I get it to run again. Or does someone know how expensive a new watch is? Still the note, it is an analog clock. Thank you for your answers Greeting, Phidschey

  • R 1150 GS Adveture

R 1150 GS Adventure Hello guys! Love mammals for some time with a BMW Enduro. Since I drive a lot with my girlfriend and my old XT600 is not quite so fit anymore, I have come after some KTM considerations now to the absolute, as I mean. I have always said, when I round the world, I will take a GS. It will certainly not do anything if I buy it like that. Unfortunately I have no idea at all about BMW GS models. I think about travel There will hardly be anything better for fitness and sociability. Small enduropasages over stock and stone, sometimes a green meadow are certainly no problem. I like the 1150 adventure best, how does the PS differ and the higher weight of the Anveture model? I haven’t driven yet, how do the boxer motors feel about driving pleasure and performance? • Question on the brake system component

Moin. I have a question for the BMW-Mopped experts here: Today one of my fellows at work got a part of a BMW motorcycle brake system. The whole thing connected with the order to build a demonstration model of. I work in the company that produces parts of the Bowden trains… The part is a black plastic box with a clipped lid. The whole is a bit bigger than a tipper pack. There five Bowden trains and a two-wire cable go out. Five trains on two plastic discs. One of the trains also operates the switch on which the cable hangs. So. There can be too many parts in this way on the brake system yes nu net. I want to know now what the part is, what it does and which train comes where on the motorcycle. Two of the trains are quite short, the others are longer and have 90° bent guide tubes for the trains at the end. The fifth train has such a plastic plug with a sealing ring on it at the end… e further information. Is also net my work, we have only been there for quite a while and that has just aroused my interest. I can take some photos of it tomorrow and put it in here, but maybe someone like that also knows what I mean for a bit.

  • Purchase advice R 1100S

Hello friends, actually it’s a general advice. I have been riding a motorcycle since I was 16, but I took a long break (about 12 years), since last year active again about 15000 km a year. I also used the moped to go on vacation to Italy, Holland, etc. I decided last year for a KAWA ZR7S (78 hp, 4 cylinders) because it looked nice and was very cheap (exit model). I thought after 12 years you started small. The decision (small anfa.) ngen) was very good and the machine is also OK, but not for me (at the age of 40). I need a simpler, more comfortable but also more sporty machine. I have never driven boxers, not even to the test drive. I have, however, been looking at R1100S. With about 12-13 t€, the machine is also affordable (pain limit :-). Is that anything for me? I don’t know? Can you please give me some tips!

  • Find out who owns it!

Hello, who can give me a hint. For years there is a BMW in front of the house in front of an acquaintance. Everyone tries by note, people in the house ask, etc.. were so far unsuccessful. It is also no license plate mounted. The only thing I got out is the frame number. My question is it possible as a private person by frame number to find the owner of the vehicle so that I can ask him if he sells it? If yes, and how? Thanks already in advance. Greeting

  • Search tips in connection with motorcycle purchase R1200RT Garmin Zümo 660LM or Zümo 590LM

Hello, have bought me the days a BMW R1200RT. My predecessor had used the Garmin Zümo 660LM. Mount for this is still on the machine. What would you recommend with today’s purchase? Rather the Zümo 660LM or the Zümo 590LM (even if the battery life should be shorter with the 590LM)?

  • Noise of poor helmet

Hello Biker ́s in many posts stands what a helmet fits well and which one is preferred. Sometimes I see bikers with microphone !? Does that work at all? I have a Bluetooth headset, and a cheap HJC helmet (yes ashes on my head) but I don ́t understand a word from the Navi. Are there really helmets that I still understand the Navi? How about the traffic safety, because of the insulation and Martinshorn? Don ́t tear me apart because of the helmet, lg Roland

  • K1200S or K1300S

Evening on all sides. I am looking for a new motorcycle and I have become aware of the K’s and have already started to inform me about it. The result list in the Hamburg area unfortunately is a bit rough with a maximum budget of 10,000 Euronen. Maybe you can write me your opinion about three of the bikes. K1200s Nr1 K1200s Nr2 K1300s The vehicle descriptions are unfortunately also not the yellow of the egg. No.1 even has the safety package. The third model is already the new 1300s. However, something has already been done. Thanks in advance 🙂

  • So you can be wrong

Despite the description of a top maintenance condition and the low mileage of a r100r Bj.95, the price of approx. 6 t€ seemed to me to be too high. Telefónica hardly willing to lower the price. Recently, about 3 months after the first contact 1 t€ decreased. Although still outside of my budget I drove approx. 100 km to the visit. Sobering the condition, which made the lower mileage of approx. 16 tkm unplausible. The engine, the rims were fully corroded and the spokes as well as the mirrors were picky. The paint had virtually everywhere Macken , small rust spots , scratching or scratching . The battery did not allow any more light to glimmer . The engine , externally started sounded coaly , but that can be normal ( with BMW I don’t know myself so well ). So it was for me no longer a question of price .

  • Ride with Jet Helmet / Police Helmet – what are you driving?

Hello together! I’m looking for a motorcycle that is very suitable for cross country rides with open helmet. So the wind protection should be as perfect as possible. Of course you can do it with any motorcycle. But for the big tour most people do not set up an integral without reason. What does this look like for the following example motorcycles? – K1200 and R1100 RT? – R1100 with high windshield? – R1100 GS with touring windshield? – Or Honda ST1100 / Varadero? someone made such experiences and gives tips for the right machine. Thank you in advance!
