  • BMW – Motorcycle R 1200 RT

    On July 5th, 2011 I bought my 2nd new RT. On July 6th, 2013 = one day after the 2 year warranty, the disc went up and stopped!Appliance rejected! BMW statement: 2 years warranty is enough! Now a BMW special operation tries to get a new switch: BMW spare parts service: There are currently no switches! The workshop received a switch. The disc goes up and down, but you can’t turn off the turn signal! Next possible delivery of a new switch: 25.7.2013. Finally summer, but the RT is in the workshop! What’s that? It starts with sch….! With the then new BMW (after 1,000 km inspection) we drove over England to Ireland = 5,200 km in 12 days. Three times the engine went off and always in extremely difficult situations. BMW AG added: “That can’t be!” A friend of mine has the problem at almost every crossing: the engine just dies off! BMW AG says: “That can’t be!” BMW AG almost only installs cheap parts! But probably not only with motorcycles – also with cars were called alone in the USA: 500,000 times back!

  • Decision-making aid BMW R1150R or R1150RT

    Hi everyone, would like to hear your opinion or read… I drove a r1100r until about 6 years ago and was quite satisfied with it. I want to get back in the car and think all the time about which moped it should be and don’t come to the point. The fact is, a boxer has to be… I think it’s great! The short choice is a used r1150r or the Tourer R1150RT. My driving distances will be very mixed. a little bit around the corner or if it is a weekend tour of 3-400km. One to two times to the kinship with approx.600 km. What will be the better choice? I am no longer a boy’s pound but not so old now again. Should be comfortable but also be possible to heat with a little fun over the passes….a certain weather protection would of course be of advantage. Bish what contracts I already have but on a spitting up to the bones I could do without… Who of you has already with this decision fought and how (or would) you orient yourselves? Would be great to read a few opinions of you:-) Thank you already in advance

  • Coupling ratchets

    Moin together. Topic clutch rattles will be known. My K1200S, 2005, 30K ran, does when it is warm, in the ears hurt in idle. I pull the clutch rattles nothing. I can now complete the lamella set (700€ parts original ) or the clutch basket (1000€ original part). Does anyone know exactly what is defective? I find both a little expensive. Has someone experience with accessories, which are clearly cheaper. Thank you!!! Holger

  • S1000R Stutters at constant speed

    Hello all, I have unfortunately the following problem with my BMW S1000R (17500km) from 2015: In the cold state no problems. As soon as the machine gets warm (about 20min drive) it starts to stutter at constant speed over the complete speed band. It feels as if for the moment one or two cylinders completely shut down. But as soon as I turn up the gas during the stutter, it turns stutter free and with full power into the speed limiter. The fault memory was unfortunately empty. Also the MKL never went on. On good luck I was calibrated by BMW still the gas grip or throttle valve and changed the spark plugs. Unfortunately also without success. My next suspicion would now be the ignition coils. Would the behavior speak for it? In addition, I was told that the air mass meter could be defective. However, I could not find a spare part in the net and some even claim that the S1000R did not have any en hat. I hope for helpful answers and thank you already in advance!

  • R1150R Brakes

    servus, have some questions for the purpose of the braking system, I have 2 motorcycles, once a fireblade sc50 and once a boxer R1150R Bj 2002, now I wanted to change the brake fluid yesterday at both machines… at the honda everything worked smoothly, but at the bmw I screwed the lid on top of the brake lever, let the motor run (because of abs) and when I pressed the lever, it sprayed out the upper brake fluid. n to pump, that ran 10 sec well, then just take air, although there was still liquid in the tank above… and pumping is also nciht more inside… now the ABS lamp flashes with running motor, and braking system without function, first it slows down normally, with stronger actuating it falls out, and bremms no longer… can someone please help me further, or tell me what I did wrong… banks in advance…

  • BMW G310R Purchase decision

    Hello, I would like to buy a motorcycle soon and since I don’t have a class A driver’s license at the moment, I couldn’t do test drives, etc. But I will probably have the driver’s license in my pocket until the beginning of May and then I want to get a machine as soon as possible. Information about my person: I’m male, 29, 175cm, and have only some scooter experience (125cc) on Mallorca It should be a new machine between 300-700cc and it can be bi In the short term, the following models have been made: BMW G310R KAWASAKI Z650 and Z300 KTM DUKE 390 YAMAHA MT-03 and MT-07 optically I find the G310R and Z650 the most beautiful and since G310R is even about 1000€ (after deduction of the Kawasaki start grant), I am thinking about whether they could be the right machine for me. In two things I have concerns about the G310R and the G310R. d is that it is built in India (and above all partly with Indian parts) and that the delivery times could become too long. I will only be able to decide whether the enough power is enough after a test drive. What do you say about it?   • 650er goes out when warm

  • Your opinion on the S1000RR

    The new BMW S1000RR has been on the market for some time now. Now I ask: what do you think of BMW’s answer to Fireblade, Ninja and co? Of course, I only know them from professional journals (no one will push that into my hand at 17), but I still have to say that it is one of the few really good machines that the Bavarians have set up. For GS fans, it may not be anything, but the intriguing styling (which is clearly above the registered performance) Test bench values and the extreme driving performance should attract racers and superbike fans.

  • R1200RT Oil Warning over BC

    Hello BMW-Biker, I have a warning (call sign) for oil on board computer for some time now. The display comes only when the engine is warm. The oil level is in the upper third. The engine temperature indicator in the valve is also in the green area. What does the onboard computer ask for? Oil level or oil temperature? Does the BC have an extra sensor or is it the same as for the analog display in the armature? I actually tap on a defective sensor. So the cooling circuit works. Oil level is, as I said, also correct. Who knows where to attack there.
