Moin from the north, I need your expertise, and I own a bmw s1000rr bj 2011, maybe someone also has a bmw or even a bmw s1000rr. To my question, from a speed from 40 kmh or from 3 to 4000 revolutions the engine rattles during the ride. As soon as I pull the clutch it is gone, I have heard that the engine from the noise background makes so many noises and you should get used to it -,- . Well, the control chain was first changed Of course, I was in a workshop again, which also drove the test and said it was all right. BUT! You love his motorcycle accordingly you still keep on thinking if that really belongs to that. It could also be a vibration story, in turn it would not make sense if the rattle after I pull the clutch away is, maybe the chain is just too loose, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don’t know, maybe someone’s had similar experiences.

Hello everyone. My problem: I drove a small lap and then turned off the machine. When I wanted to start it again a few minutes later, nothing happens. The machine is BJ 2010 and has 10,000km to info! Hope someone has a solution or an idea what the problem might be. Thanks in advance 🙂

S 1000 XR model around Bj 2022 failure of the LiMa
Hello ! In our small XR group (7people, all the same year of construction) there are already the 3rd failure due to LiMa problems. All a mileage between 20 tkm and 30 tkm. 2 of them have extended warranty, one unfortunately not. From the workshop the earliest possible delivery date of a new LiMa was set on the 20 Nov (2024). Is there similar experience here ? I’m almost embarrassed that I had nothing with my K 1300 and over 92 000 km yet… Lucky for the guys: the season It’s almost over!

R1200 GS, Ignition doesn’t work, not even with emergency key? Battery charged.
Hello together, today was my first exit into the Black Forest and I had noticed an unprecedented, strange behavior on my R1200 GS, built in 2017. I installed a new battery in the autumn and several times during the winter break “simply charged”. It also jumped well and when we stopped up in the Black Forest, the ignition stopped afterwards. At the top right the indicator for “keys not there”. Clear case I thought, the button cell in the conclusion l is empty. Winter break – battery empty, that fits. So emergency key out, hold under the rear fender and set ignition… did not work. Still the blinking “keys out of range”. With another MOtor wheel back to the last fuel station and put a new 2032 button cell in the key, but the GS did not want to turn on the ignition. And always the blinking “keys out of range”, however, I could with the key the alarm I was about to call the towing service, when I just pressed the ignition button (almost a desperation state) for longer, whereupon the ignition lock desperately tried to snap in with the straight handlebar. Then the ignition went on again. Driven home and switched the ignition on and off several times, always worked. Does anyone of you know this behavior? I read the wrong thing tomorrow. Save up and see if there’s something smart coming out of it. Greetings Heige

Release for motorcycle tyres mixed tyres Tüv vs Eu-Recht
I have the following problem. I have a BMW K1200 RS from the year 2001. After the rear tyre had run off, in contrast to the front tyre, I replaced it. As I am aware that it needs to be approved, I looked for the appropriate type. In the vehicle license it says: “Regard tire factory binding GEM. Operating permit”. However, the above tyres are no longer built and the right has changed so that a mixed tire of different brands is allowed. I read e: “Mixed tyres have been allowed in principle since 2019”. (I was told that the conversion date was 1.1.2020) or in the fine catalogue.de says: “Mixed tyres on the motorcycle: Is this permissible? A mixed tyres are also allowed in principle on the motorcycle. So if your motorcycle has different tyres, it has no consequences for you.” Also in many motorcycle pages it is allowed. That is why I have the following combination on the BMW: Front: Michelin 120/70 ZR17 (58) W) Pilot Road 2 Front M/C Rear: Metzeler Roadtec Z6 170/60 ZR17 72W Both tyres are approved for the BMW, but the Tüv tester denied me the badge today. He said that I needed a proof confirming this combination. I told him what was still formulated as a tyre combination at the time, is no longer manufactured today. He: Yes, that’s clear to him. ???? At the same time he says that he only needs a two-lined one, that this is allowed. I don’t know any more, and maybe someone knows the problem and knows a solution.

Towing service doesn’t find motorcycle anymore
Last week we were with the motorcycle in the south of France. Unfortunately, when I was parked, I brushed a curb, which resulted in a leak in the oil tank. Fortunately, we made it to the next BMW motorcycle workshop. But there we were opened that one had only six or seven weeks for a repair. That was of course not an option for us. So we contacted the BMW-Pannendienst, whereupon the motorcycle allegedly slid off to another BMW workshop. Unfortunately it has not arrived there until today. The telephone demand at the address indicated by the towing service only led to the information that the dealer is a BMW dealer who only leads cars. Also no motorcycle has been delivered. At the BMW towing service we are comforted for more than a week, one will contact the local towing service to clarify the whereabouts of the motorcycle. This so far without success. We travelled back to Switzerland with a rental car. There is still no trace of the motorcycle. The fact that BMW apparently takes care of our problem with very little commitment is extremely frustrating.

Two questions I’ve always wanted to ask
Question 1 There are three ways to turn off the engine of my 850 R 1) Open the side stand 2) Turn the key switch 3) Switch the emergency switch on the right-hand steering Erbende to the left or right n. Does it play any role in how to turn off the engine? Is there a “better” or “bader” way? Question 2 When my motorcycle is up on the main stand, I get up and move my upper body forwards with a swing so that the motorcycle moves a little forward and the main stand collapses.. Do you do so? Does this happen one day after the main stand breaks? Thank you for your answers

R1100R 259 1995 “nods” constantly during load changes, tender braking, etc.
Hello guys…. nice that you have. I am Uncle Tim , 57 ,from SB and have a R1100 R 259 1995 without ABS with 33,000 Km original… with which I drove in 2021 the last time.. I have no experience with this vehicle. Problem ! Smallest load change , on the gas , light brake , and she “nods” over the front fork…and I also have the feeling that she wanted to break out to the right…so the whole driving behavior in this sizuation … gives me an unsafe feeling .. It is a steering damper mounted on this part….about whose function I can also say nothing …or …lightly that is the problem..(because defective) Also at start-stop in the city …she nods strongly.. strikes more or less…at low speed. I ask for hints, tips … All-time good ride .. Greeting Tim

2023 BMW R1250RS
Greetings! Now at the fair I fell in love with this bike in the sport paint, but I noticed that the new version apparently has very few new features. Besides three new colors and the eco mode there does not seem to be really something new, or did I not research enough? Am I not better off, for example, if I bought a new 2022er by about €19,000 with full equipment, instead of a 23er by €25,000? She would just be so good next to my 2000er K1200RS -“Oldtimer” fit Please take my decision!!! Because to save fuel I have never actually bought a motorcycle
