  • Identifying F800 GT liquid

Ladies and gentlemen, I own a BMW F800GT, built in 2017 with 7500km. Unfortunately, I have found that the vehicle obviously loses a liquid, as can be seen in the attached photo. My workshop suspects that the liquid originates from the oil flow of the air filter box. Is this problem known to you and can you tell me further information or solutions for this? It also runs from top to bottom. However, I can’t identify where. Thank you in advance for your support.

  • 12V socket/connection…

Hello together, I have a new used R1150R Built 2002. Now I would like to connect a Navi. Under the seat is probably a plug, but it has more holes than with a trailer coupling. Here I can not plug in a cigarette lighter. Sorry if I can not find the right words professionally, with that I am rather lay 🙂 If someone has a tip or advice like me best install or connect a cigarette lighter or an onboard socket.

  • Bmw S1000RR k46 km power

Moin moin, I would like to know your opinion, I was with the friendly yesterday and had to renew the control chain, I got into the conversation with him that the bmw is already very vulnerable. And yes, that’s it now, but then he meant that most bmw s1000RR’s from the construction year 2009 to 2011, no longer crack like 30000 km, after that is the end. Then the question arises to me whether all were on the run or in cold condition. Actually I would like to use the r bmw crack the 100000 t km -,- But in fact many sell the bmw under 30000 km. I would be interested in your opinion.

  • Engine was torn open in the cold stand

The following, my little nephew wanted to see my motorcycle, as enthusiastic as he was, I turned on the engine and zacked it at the gas grip. :@ The engine was of course freezing cold. I don’t know how high the speed range was now but it sounded high. Of course I turned off the engine immediately! Since I don’t know how well with the engine, I don’t know if the engine has taken damage due to felt 1-2 seconds of pulling the gas grip I hope I can find an answer here.

  • Do you tick through the exhaust flap or do you want to pull levers/jackshafts?

Hello all, I have a speed-dependent ticking noise on my BMW S 1000 RR (2011). The workshop suspects that it is due to the ejected exhaust flap. They took the valve cover and checked the valve play and the control times and did not detect any abnormalities on the towing levers or camshafts. Now my questions: 1. Can you really see through the open valve cover whether the camshaft or towing levers are damaged? Checking oil if abrasion is present? 2. Can an ejected exhaust flap cause speed-dependent ticking, which will be faster even more speed? 3. Wouldn’t damage to camshaft/slip levers also change valve play? Did any of you have similar experiences? Thank you for your help!

  • BMW type 259, R 1100 RT submersible tube / slide tube Simmerring change, Simmer ring slide tube Submersible tube

In the attached article I describe the replacement of the fork tube or submersible tube Simmerrings at the BMW R1100 RT from the year 2000 (type 259). The principle and the order of the work can certainly also be applied to other fork tubes or submersible tubes. For the successful work it is necessary to make a small tool. As it is manufactured results from the article. Many greetings to all and a lot of success with the screw.
