633Csi short circuit due to defective ignition cables?
Moin! Got a problem with my e24 Unfortunately, the marten was detected in my car too late. Unfortunately, this guy ate the ignition cable from the ignition coil to the ignition distributor. While the engine was running, unfortunately the unisiled cable came to the body. It popped short and the engine went off. It can still be started, however, it now goes out immediately. Before the engine ran problemless ignition coil is new, the defects ignition cable is also. All this brought little better ng. What could Hops have gone? Vehicle is a Japan import 633csi from the BJ 1983

520i Starter does not turn
Hello dear community, I’m new here. Short to my person: I am almost 17 and I received a BMW E28 520i ’86 a few weeks ago. After Abi I will probably do a training as a car mechatronics engineer at a German sports car manufacturer and am very interested in old and youngtimers. Now the following problem: With my father I took off the whole cylinder head, regrinded valves, adjusted. All seals and belts changed. Now we wanted to start it today for the first time after 2-3 weeks.. No Mucks ! The starter does not turn, the magnetic switch does not crack. The ignition is normal. What can this be? I am very desperate. Thanks already in advance ! Bavarian greetings 😉

BMW E28, 525i no power under load?
Yesterday it was on test drive with a 525i type E28 from 1984. After about 45km I noticed that it was no longer perfect in the lower gears. Since I suspected the tank watch to display too much, I refuelled 25 liters, but it didn’t get better. The engine accepted less and less the gas request until I got ahead only with a little more than the idle speed. In the stand one could speed up the engine, at the gas lever high, but as soon as one wanted to drive away, nothing went again. The vehicle was reactivated after 15 years of standstill, the tank emptied and a new fuel pump with filters installed. Either it solved something in the tank, which clogs the fuel line or there is another fault in the fuel system, the question is only which one?
