Hello together. I’m new here and I’m very happy to read your posts. Now I’d like to ask you for any suggestions for my problem. At my Touran BJ 2017 purchased in 2018 rust forms on the tailgate in the area of connection disc/car body. The car has been bought from a VW dealer who is 250 km away from me as an annual car. I have completed the warranty extension at my VW dealer on site for 52€ per month. There I also have the maintenance done. VW has the Kulan The disc was replaced by the dealer where I bought the car. It’s been almost 3 years, so it’s actually out of the warranty. What option do I still have to pay for the rust removal? The car is only 4 years old and has 68000 km down.

Does a new door really have to come?
Hello guys, a nice person has missed me a dent and just ran away. A witness has luckily observed it. The costs are probably taken over. I was at the Ford dealer: The door has to be new. I was also with the paintmaker or Smar Repair experts, not bulging at this point possible, spatling and painting or new door. Neighboring parts would probably have to be painted too, so that the fable difference is not so noticeable. The car is not yet a year old! n in terms of impairment and whether color differences will be visible afterwards? Unfortunately, I have little to no experience in this respect myself. Hopefully it can be seen well on the pictures. Thank you already in advance!

Treat rust on the underbody
Hello together, I finally bought an E91 Bj 2010. Was yesterday under the car and could find a few rust approaches, preferably at the rear or tub of the trunk. The look that the rust is there I find not bad, because it is also an already 11 year old car, however I want to drive with it and want to treat the rust so that the sheet does not go through in the worst case. Now my question how do I treat the places best? – With rust turnaround r brushing and is good? – Make rust away before with the risk also to remove coating around and then with rust converter? – Just underbody protection on it? which is the better bitumen-based or wax? Thanks for every advice. Greetings

Side skirts Beule Seat Leon Cupra
Hello together, I’m looking for a Seat Leon Cupra year 2019 and I actually found it. The model is price-wise and has full equipment. However, there is a problem (see for picture) And you can see that the side skirt is properly pressed in. I guess there is someone who came up with the car lift against it. How would you assess the damage? Completely advise from the purchase? Repair is certainly not cheap because the part is probably flexed out. I guess. From the price they will not really go down because it is really cheap for full equipment. Would like to hear your opinion here Many greetings Oli

Rust at the threshold and fender edge
Hello, today I found rust on the threshold and would like advice on how to work it up. I knocked off, no hole seems to be there. (Mercedes 20 years old) Actually I removed the fender to rust the entire edge. The sheet edge will not work permanently, but who has had good experience with it. Had 2 times with sanding, rust converter and paint always so 2 years success. Thank you!

Oldtimer rust removal and preparation for painting.
I have a 36 year old RX 7, so slowly some places start to rust. Although I’m not the most skilled craftsman, but I have to do it myself for cost reasons. Machines I don’t have, except an Accu screwdriver. I would be really grateful for tips and advice as I best go forward. Also call products. What is the best rust converter ? How to grind ? Which paper ? Which primer ? The paint outside is still good , just behind the wheels and inside at the Unfortunately, doors start rusting. Thank you for your help. The car is from my father and I would like to make it original for me again.

Holes in wheel running TÜV relevant
Hello dear forum! Unfortunately I have a big problem: the bike runs on my pickup are already completely rusted. Is this Tüv-relevant? The TÜV examiner said at a quick glance that I did not pass the test. At the last HU no defects were detected. Last HU March 2021. I bought the car one month after and I believe that an examiner was bribed… Please give your opinion! I drove to the dealer today to ask him what he would pay me for the vehicle and he told me that I should not drive at all. I now have pictures of the bike runs, and from the outside. Ask your opinions! Greetings and thank you for your time

Damage problematic with the TÜV?
Hello dear motor talk’ler, now I need your expertise too… A few weeks ago I was driven by some jerk to my Skoda parked in front of the house. Of course he didn’t ring a bell to report the damage. Now I have had the damage checked and the repair costs put at 1500€. I am now faced with the decision to have the damage repaired about us insurance or to do a fictitious billing. Since the car has already 190.000km on the clock and 10 I tend to make a fictitious reckoning and would only have an achsvermessung carried out for safety reasons (where a damage on the axis is very unlikely). Now my question: do I come with such a damage over the TÜV or is that rather problematic? Btw: Blinker is a little loose but functional. Thank you and many greetings!

Coating caliper with Folia-Tec + experience
Hello, I bought a Folia-Tec brake caliper paint now. It says that you have to wait 2 hours before you can mount the bike again. But honestly I don’t want to wait 2 hours. How are your experiences … can you mount the bike again after 10 minutes? Thank you.

Surface rust Underbody Mazda 5 CW Year of construction 2014?
Hello, I have bought a used MAZDA 5 CW, vehicle is in an absolute top condition. I could not find any defects at all and the dealer was friendly, even changed the brakes because of the rostrand, new TÜV and inspection done. I am very pleased with the car. What makes me stuttery I look under the car, I see a lot of superficial rust e.g. on some axles / joints. Also on the thresholds below is superficial rust. It is not dramatic, With the screwdriver test nothing is through, only superficial. Has my Renault e.g. also. But my BMW E60 is already 18 years old, BJ 2004 and does not have such a thing. The car is already significantly older and has run clearly more, but does not have the slightest superficial rust. However, the BMW has cost a lot of the Mazda, even the used 5 at that time has cost 5x more than the Mazda. Normal? Thanks and many greetings.
