Golf6 1.6 – Mod. 2009 Hello all, I have already posted this in the model forum. But since I am in a bit of a hurry, I ask you again here. Could be good that one of you has already got a Golf 6 under your fingers. So, it’s about: I want to use Fluid Film to treat my sleepers/wells. Now I have found a 3rd row of plugs, which are partly under the floor cover. (see picture) I would like to know which H So far I thought that I only had to supply the outer and the adjacent threshold. Thank you very much! Addendum: I just got the information that the fuel line runs there on the side of the passenger. Should this cavity and the line be sprayed with FF there?

Folage – who has experience with it?
Hello! Since my ordered Golf 8 GTE with full equipment is a significant value next spring, I’m considering whether it makes sense to have it foiled. Who has had experience with it – regardless of the vehicle model? • What does a foling cost? • How much does the foil protect against rockfalls and scratches? • How do you use a foiled car? Wash normally? With or without wax? No problem in the washing machine? • Can the foil be removed easily, w If you want to sell the car? • Is the original paint like new, or does it suffer from the foliation? • With my matt-painted motorcycle you can see stripes when you drive over it with your fingernail, for example. Is that also the case with the car being tortured? A lot of questions, I know, but that’s probably the questions everyone is asking themselves about a foliation. Thank you for every answer, Greeting Hans

Threshold and door damaged. Smart repair/alternatives
Hello! Today I took my own parking lot lock with me at the „parking off”. I can’t estimate to what extent this damage can be repaired even after consultation in the circle of acquaintances at all. Can one still repair such a thing without complete renewal. It was in return and one hardly noticed it but the damage is already great in my opinion.

Passenger door Corner damage bottom left
Servus! I have a relatively new seat, there was damage to the passenger when driving in an underground car park, which had two curb edges, which I did not recognize so, a door was easily broken, because the passenger wanted to clear out and did not recognize this edge. I uploaded the pictures. The inner door was not damaged or the inner body. Maybe we have a few car drivers who can estimate the damage. I have a damage in the car. Year free at full and partial cascade and consider using this then, the amount should be well over 300€. Greetings,

Remove vinyl roof and then paint? Price?
Servus, I made a vintage car clear today. Year 1984. This one currently has a vinyl roof. Unfortunately with some rust pimples under the vinyl. According to previous owners, these have become no more or bigger in the last years. Nevertheless, I would like to go there. Roof down. Work up, remove rust etc. and then just repaint. Black shiny so that it fits the rest of the vehicle. I would try to do the preparatory work myself. So vinyl down, derust so that it only needs to be painted afterwards. Does anyone have experience what it costs? I get the vehicle on Thursday. Then I like to post a few pictures.

Rost: Request for assessment
Hello, I looked at a very well-kept Ford C-Max today. 2013 year of construction, mileage at 75000km. I really had a good impression on me, both inside, outside, and in the engine compartment (but definitely no expert). However, I did not look at the car from below on a stage or the like, would have made only limited sense (no idea and comparison experience). I then took a few mobile phone photos, two are attached, My Question: Is the rust to be seen on the pictures “in the frame”, so suitable for age and mileage, or is that too much? My (still) current car is 17 years old and looks much worse below, but that’s not the question here. I just lack any experience as I said, so I would be grateful for an assessment of whether it fits that way for a 2013 year of construction.

Scratches from kitchen sponge – conditioner?
Hello community, I was stupid today as never before. After driving my A3 through the washing machine (textile strips), I still had a lot of small yellow spots like 2-3 spots of birdkotresten on the paint. I idiot then carefully cleaned all the places with a yellow kitchen sponge (rough side) and water. When the water dried, I became pale, because now I have almost around the car everywhere light, cruising scratches. The scratches logically don’t mean deep, a about you see them. Especially at the place with the bird dropping. Now I want as long as possible half-way sidering (possibly several years) of the scratches and have heard that a conditioner can help. Is that true or do I have to ask for something specific? What does this cost roughly?

Hourly rates for bodywork finishing and painting
Here is an excerpt from the current article in “Autohaus Schadenmanager” No. 16/2020. Especially worth reading for those vehicle owners who want to or have to lift the repair without using an insurance, i.e. at their own expense. Particularly interesting if the question is in the room whether the repair should be carried out by the brand workshop or the bodywork or paint shop. ” ….. In the past two years already the Central Association of Karos called series- und Fahrzeugtechnik (ZKF) and the Bundesverband der Partnerwerkstätten (BVdP) unsurpassably after an inescapable increase in hourly compensation rates (SVS) from their point of view in the case of directed accident damage. The costs, especially in the painting and personnel sector, increased disproportionately to the agreed SVS, moreover expensive investments in training, tools and test equipment to control new vehicle technologies and the calibration of driver assistance systems (FAS) notw endig. … …. In parallel, the BVdP has prepared a cost study, which shows that with an hourly settlement rate of 78.60 euros on average at present, survival is no longer possible and a permanent adjustment has to be made NOW. …”

Anti rust primer
Hello everyone!! The topic doesn’t belong here directly, but you have a lot to do with rust in oldtimers. With my Golf III on the rear wheel runs heavy rust, because I have made the artificial offwheel runs…. Will now everything first with the Flex and after that at a company all sandblasting. So my question: What is best to do now on the blank sheet??? My paintr has something of such a toxic product that would be yellow forblos. Will not just this all it starts to rot again in 1-2 years, since sone laking of the whole car is not cheap. So I need something very good against rust and on it still a good ep-gründer because must be also spachtel and varnisher able. Thanks stefan
